Hello! I'm Anjali and I'm a 3rd year animation student in NYC and I'm seeking two female voice actors for my junior year short film.
3-4 minute short film following a conversation between two sisters (5 years old and 8 years old) about what they think will happen when they die
the film is to have a charming, lighthearted, curious, and imaginative vibe (despite the subject matter)
think childhood wonder, curiosity
Synopsis: While playing pretend, two sisters find themselves discussing and imagining what they think might happen after death. They find themselves whisked away by their theories and end up discovering an appreciation of their childhood and all the lovely little moments life has to offer.

My goal is to approach the subject of death and loss through a childlike lens. I want this film to have a clear feeling of wonder, curiosity, imagination, and nostalgia. This is a PAID opportunity however I am producing this film entirely on my own with a STUDENT BUDGET.
There is a brief part where they fly and walk through clouds.

Akka is the older sister (8 years old) She's nurturing and takes her role as "big sister" very seriously.
Being the older of the two, she is much more aware of the concept of death yet of course she isn't certain about anything, she just knows bits and pieces here and there of what people theorize the afterlife is like.
While she is aware of what death is, she tries to explain it to her little sister so she can begin to understand the concept, but not worry her too much about it.
Akka is playful, cautiously positive, and full of creativity and curiosity

Lil sister is about 5 years old. She is very energetic, a bit dramatic, extremely curious and wildly imaginative. Her voice is higher pitched and very bubbly, she looks up to her Akka and loves playing pretend. A good word to describe her would be rambunctious and lovable!
"akka" is pronounced "uck-kuh" (elder sister in Tamil)
Wait...akka...What’s that? What’s…dead?
