  • -Agatha - 120 lines for $60 ($0.50 per line)

  • -Edwin - 50 lines for $25 ($0.50 per line)

  • -Graham - 20 lines for $10 ($0.50 per line)

  • -Donna - 10 lines for $5 ($0.50 per line)


Payment: 50 cents per line

The payment will be sent through paypal after the delivery of all the lines.


Deadlines:


  • Audition deadline: February 17, 2020

  • Recording deadline: February 29, 2020


Description: We are looking for voice actors to play some roles in our upcoming indie VR fantasy game releasing Q3 2020 for PC. It is a narrative driven fantasy adventure with a Steampunk setting that will allow the player to follow Agatha on her epic quest to discover her own past.


Before you audition:


  • -You will be required to sign a Talent release form and a NDA.

  • -Please, read each line at least twice with different intonations, in order to give us more variety of options to work with.

  • -Only quality recordings will be taken into consideration. (No extremely noisy microphones, peaking,  audible backgrounds, puffs...).

  • -Read carefully the lines in order to avoid mistakes while reading them.

Agatha

Character Age: 24

Agatha is a young adult who never met her parents and tries to build a life for herself by selling her inventions on the Victorian London. She is strong, determined and brave, however the insecurity produced by not knowing her own roots will be her greatest flaw.

  • She receives a letter from her long lost Dad and can't believe what she is seeing: "This can't... ¿Dad?... No. Nononono."

  • Voice-over introductory narration: "It doesn't matter what I tell you. It doesn't even matter who I am. Because this story doesn't belong to me. It's the story of a lost place and those lost within."

  • To herself, about a dislikeable character who is trying to find her, mocking him: "Alright 'Mr. Tight Schedule'. Let's see if you find me now."

Edwin is Agatha's father. A loveable inventor who needs urgent help from her daughter.

  • After getting reunited, his daughter asks him why she was abandoned. Emotional moment: "I'm so sorry... Come, I'll explain everything to you somewhere else"

  • Voice-over narration of a letter he wrote: "My dear Agatha. It's been 12 years since the last time I heard your laughter, while you were running by the boats on the dock."

  • Explaining some dark backstory: "Eventually they realized the village was never going to be as profitable as they expected, so they decided to fix it."

Character Age: Around 40-60

Graham is an old grumpy fisherman. Sick of everything and only moved by money. However he has a certain charm to his grumpiness.

Note: Avoid being too cartoonish.

  • Trying to read her name on a paper and mispronouncing Agatha: "Hi. Hey. Are you... A...gra...tah?"

  • Agatha tells him to wait a minute: "Hmmmm... You better hurry. I'm on a tight schedule here, you know."

  • Asking rudely Agatha to pour some fuel into the ship's engine: "Great! The engine needs more fuel again. Would you mind?"

Character Age: Around 40-60

Donna is a wealthy Victorian lady who sees Agatha as her own daughter. Very sweet and lovable but REALLY posh.

  • From the distance: "Ah, Agatha dear, how good I find you."

  • After Agatha misunderstands that Donna is kicking her out of her crappy apartment. Donna sounds very embarrased: "What?... Nonononono! I would never kick you out! But, you can't go on living up there ... like that... Listen honey, since our daughter left there is an empty room at home."
