Overlord Volume 3: The Bloody Valkyrie Audiobook (Fan project)
Project Overview
Lord Ainz has made great progress moonlighting as the indomitable hero Momon, but what should be a moment of triumph is shattered—by news of rebellion. He vows to find out what has happened and to defend the honor of his guild and home—Ainz Ooal Gown.
This unofficial audiobook series aims to bring the light novel version of Overlord to life with different voices for each character. The series is being uploaded to YouTube. Since the first 2 volumes have been completed, work has begun with making an audiobook for Volume 3, starting with this casting call! We hope that you will consider auditioning for this project!
**REQUIREMENTS**
1.) You have to have either read the light novel or watch the anime (each season is only 13 episodes long so it shouldn't be too much of an issue) that way you have a basic idea on the story and the characters.
2.) Have a good microphone, an audiobook isn't good if the quality of the microphone is below standard
3.) Have little to no background noise.

Sebas Tian is the head butler of Nazarick and overseer of the Pleiades. Despite not being a Floor Guardian, his abilities rival theirs, specializing in unarmed combat. He takes on the form of an elderly gentleman with a neat beard. Unlike many of the other NPCs, he doesn't completely hate humans and actually has a strong sense of justice, much like his creator. Go for a sort of gruff but gentle and respectful voice when talking to those he is familiar with.

[calmly] “I see, however, the Young Mistress will most likely not accept that suggestion. Or rather, given the Young Mistress’ personality, she will not change her mind.”
[calm with a sense of pride] “The Great Tomb of Nazarick was hand-crafted by the Supreme Beings, and defended by us, who have pledged our lives in service. Anyone who could penetrate an impregnable fortress like that and breach the 7th Floor would probably not be stopped by a trap like that…”
[calm with a hint of panic/concern] “I misspoke, please forgive me. I was merely a little uneasy. It would be fine as long as your ‘Blood Frenzy” doesn’t kick in.”
Pandora's Actor is an egghead whose behavior is always over-exaggerated, which Ainz sees as humiliating to his own past. However, while Pandora's Actor is over the top, he can also be extremely practical. In addition to that, Pandora's Actor is outspoken and self-reflective enough about how his actions as his master's body double may hurt the reputation of Ainz in the face of his foes. He admits to going overboard with his acting performance and is critical of his own transgression for it.

Nigredo is an NPC of the Great Tomb of Nazarick, she is the older sister of Albedo and Rubedo. Though she acts insane and attacks her visitors without mercy if a baby-doll isn't given to her, Nigredo is assumed to be tender-hearted under normal conditions. In addition, Nigredo has a soft spot for babies, perhaps even surpassing that of Pestonya’s. However, her compassion is often limited to that of infants. Once they live past the age of two, she becomes mostly indifferent towards their well-being.
Her voice should have a bit of a raspy whispering tone to it. Think almost like a creepier version of Albedo's voice.

[greeting] “Lord Momonga, and my lovely little sister. I trust you have been well?”
[concerned] “All I can think is that you have been deceived by her. 'Spinel' will definitely bring a great disaster to Nazarick someday. I’ll wager on that.”
Yuri Alpha is the vice-captain of the "Pleiades Six Stars," the battle maid squad of the Great Tomb of Nazarick. She was created by Yamaiko, one of the three female members of Ainz Ooal Gown. Yuri is good-hearted and one of the two "safe" Pleiades to humans. Thus, she is relieved when Ainz tells her not to kill humans without proper reasons. When given permission to do as she pleases, Yuri chooses to help people in destitution. Try going for a refined and calm tone of voice for Yuri.

[curious, but respectful] “Lord Ainz, may I ask why these treasures have not been tidied up? Even if there are protective spells in effect, this is hardly an ideal storage method. You have but to command us and we will immediately begin tidying—”
[calmly] “My sincerest apologies. Please forgive my lack of insight.”
[curious] “Would that be why you chose me — forgive me, why you chose the three of us to accompany you?”
CZ2128 Delta AKA "CZ" (or Shizu) is an automaton battle maid and a member of the "Pleiades Six Stars," the battle maid squad of the Great Tomb of Nazarick. She was created by Garnet.
CZ2128 Delta appears emotionless and has a silent nature. Her Karma is relatively high, which makes her, along with Yuri Alpha, one of the two "safe" Pleiades to humans. Though she usually ignores conversations from humans, sometimes there is a possibility to communicate with her.
CZ2128 Delta hates cannibalism, but likes cute things. Try going for a flat and even tone of voice, akin to Rei from Evangelion.

[monotone, calm] “wow...” (this is a sound she makes when she finds a character "disgusting"
Bukubukuchagama had a cheerful nature and enjoyed playing pranks on her friends. She can be at times mischievous around her little brother's friend Momonga. When she acts serious, she would often quarrel with Peroroncino, insisting on the notion that the younger brother must obey their older sister. Moreover, Bukubukuchagama usually speaks in the high pitch tone she uses for acting. Whenever Bukubukuchagama had to reprimand her brother, she would become a very scary person, as described by the other guild members. Because of that, her tone would suddenly change, and she would use her original deeper voice to scold him.
For this Volume of the audiobook where she makes her Debut, just go for the high pitch happy tone of voice

Since these characters are basically just Randomly spawned mobs that serve Shalltear they don't have much in the way of personality other than being a suck up to Shalltear and confident when they're up against humans.

[angry] “Pretty smart. Still, a beast making a decision like that is little more than instinct…”
“Lady Shalltear. I searched the interior to root out any fish who slipped our net, and I found several women who seem to have been used to satisfy the men’s lusts. What should we do with them?”
Zach is a member of the Death Spreading Brigade. Born as a poor farmer in the Re-Estize Kingdom, his parents sold his adored little sister Lilia into slavery when he was young. After his third draft in the army, he ran away and joined the Death Spreading Brigade which let him join to replenish its depleted headcount. He is highly bitter and cynical, feeling no wrong nor regrets for his actions.

“That’ll be difficult, because it was that woman’s request.”
[scared and in pain as he’s being devoured] “Stop stop stop stop stop! Spare me, spare me, spare me please!”
Baldo is a calculating but good-willed person, thus he is always seeking for more ways to increase his business. However, despite his ulterior motive to gain a profit, he does have genuine concern about the safety of others, though that usually doesn't stop him from accepting a reward for a small deed of kindness and concern.

“He’s not a trustworthy fellow. I have no idea why you would employ someone like him, Mister Sebas.”
“I fear I have gone too far. I hope you will remove those words from your memory; though I would still suggest that you try to persuade your mistress otherwise.”
Brain Unglaus is a mercenary and the leader of the Mercenary group called the "Death Spreading Brigade". Brain is arrogant and supremely confident in his skills. Part of this stemmed from his incredible talent with the sword. As he was so exceptional that he was able to match Gazef Stronoff with very little preparation or training. Brain is somewhat amoral and willing to take on any job, so long as he can test his sword skills on a human opponent in preparation for his next duel with Gazef.

These are random Mercenaries that are working for Brain Unglaus. These guys are the worst of the worst.

Give me a break… even an idiot knows about that sort of thing. Ah, how about sabotaging a coach wheel and dragging out the departure until tomorrow?”
“That’ll be cutting it really close. Ah — what should I do. I’ll need to contact the others after this… With only two hours… It’ll be hard, but they’re prize catches…”
“You’ll have to wait for us to finish first, and since we’re going to ransom her off, you can’t go too far! Don’t hurt her too badly.”
Pluton Ainzach is the Guildmaster of the E-Rantel Adventurer's Guild.Pluton Ainzach is quite capable and vigorous. After witnessing the recent colossal amount of achievements done by Momon, Ainzach has shown to have a pandering side where he wishes to keep Darkness in E-Rantel by any means necessary.

[stern] “To summarize, about two nights ago, some adventurers patrolling the outskirts of E-Rantel encountered a Vampire. Five of them were killed by the Vampire. I have gathered all of you here because of that incident.”
[stern, explaining] “To continue where Theo left off, only about 20% of the adventurers in the Kingdom can be considered to be at or above platinum-rank. There are around 3000 adventurers in the Kingdom, so among the 8 million people of the Kingdom, there are only about 600 platinum-ranked or higher adventurers. Do you understand now? Platinum-ranked adventurers are that rare.”
[keeping his emotions in check after being super mad) “...Forgive me, Rakesheer, but please don’t continue making a scene.”
Theo Rakheshir is the Guildmaster of the Magician's Guild in E-Rantel. Though he appears as a calm and wise man, his demeanor only hides a thirst for knowledge and all things magic that border on obsession, his calm composure can be momentarily shattered upon seeing magic that far exceeds what is thought to be the limit in the New world.

[sternly] Indeed, you are correct. Initially, I felt that this was not enough to qualify Mister Momon for orichalcum rank. However, the discovery of a set of bones bore testament to Mister Momon’s might...That is to say, the bones of a Skeletal Dragon. Mister Momon slew a frightening undead creature that possessed absolute resistance to magic.
[humble, grateful] Please allow me to thank you on behalf of the city, Mister Momon. If not for your swift response, many more lives might have been lost. And while I can only speak for myself in this matter, you have but to come to me with any request you have and I will do my best to fulfill it.
[shocked, amazed] ...It can’t be! It’s impossible, unbelievable…I once read an old tome… they say that the Theocracy possesses powerful magic items which they consider their national treasures. This is one of them… a spell-sealing crystal. How did you come to possess such a thing?!
Panasolei Gruze Day Rettenmaier is the mayor of E-Rantel.
He is described as a mass of bloated, fatty oil, so much so that even his chin consists of excessive fat. His face resembles that of an unremarkable obese bulldog. The white hair on his scalp is thin enough to reflect light.
Panasolei sometimes breathes like a pig sounding like he is wheezing which lowers his overall impression as untrustworthy at first glance but he is in fact, a very clever man. His behavior aims to make others to look down on him so that he can catch them off guard.
Unlike many nobles, he doesn't look down on commoners and actually cares for them. He is also hardworking, taking a large amount of time to get accurate statistics to help forecast future trends in the economy.
go for a stereotypical "fat old British nobleman" with a nasally sound for fair amount of his dialogue along with his wheezing during certain lines of dialogue, except for when he's within the company of his peers that he trusts, during that time he takes on more of a grim tone, dropping the nasally voice and talking a bit more gruffly.

[curious] “(wheeze) you’re quite well informed. I instructed that the matter not be made public due to receiving some troubling news. Where did you hear that from?”
“I see. I’m not too clear about this incident myself, but I would be wasting everyone’s time if I asked for a full explanation. I’ll ask if anything I don’t understand comes up.”
[concerned] “How troubling, we couldn’t even get any evidence from it… the only possibility is that secret shrine under that chapel, no? It would be good if we could learn something useful from it.”
Bellote is a mithril class adventurer and the leader of Sky Wolf. Bellote appears to be a fair man, willing to give others the benefit of the doubt, as shown when he decided to allow Momon to handle the vampire due to his reputation and character.

[annoyed, stern] “Shut up, Igvarge. Adventurers protect all humanity from monsters and as such, borders do not exist for them. As a fellow adventurer, I am ashamed at your griping about the unspoken rules which govern our guild.”
[matter of factly] “I doubt that would be possible. In order to work as closely as that, we’ll need to craft intricate battle plans, but the more complex the plan, the more likely it will go awry when something unexpected occurs. Rather than risk that, it would be better to not work together and just operate independently. Speaking of which, why did that Vampire appear there? What information does the Adventurer’s Guild have about it?”
[muttering, envious] “There’s a lot of adamantite on the front of his armor… how much did it cost, anyway?”
Moknach is a mithril class adventurer and the leader of Rainbow in the fortress city of E-Rantel. Moknach seems like a humble individual who is also proud of his strength. He greatly admires those stronger than him, like Momon.

[surprised] “Graveyard incident? You don’t mean the incident concerning the appearance of vast quantities of undead?”
[stern] “That is the best possible outcome of the worst-case scenario. Need I remind you that our foe is a one-man army?”
[amazed] “...The 8th tier… there’s no way, right?”
Igvarge is a mithril class adventurer and leader of the adventurer team: Kralgra. Igvarge's dream was to become a hero who would end up saving the world, just like the Thirteen Heroes of the past. He sacrificed everything to achieve this dream, going as far as spreading false rumors about himself or using his companions as meat shields. Everyone beside himself were all stepping stones for him to reach the peak. He is very full of himself and egotistical

[coldly] “Before that, there’s something I’d like to ask you, Guildmaster Ainzach. I’ve never heard of the name Momon before. Since he’s a mithril-plate, he should have done something noteworthy, right?”
[mockingly] “Before that, shouldn’t you show some basic courtesy and remove your helmet?”
[angry, panicking, shouting] “You - you little bitch! If you don’t let me go, I’ll kill you! Hey!”
he is simply one of Igvarge's many party members. He has a much more friendly attitude towards Momon (Ainz) unlike his leader.

[chuckingly, apologetic] Hahaha, my apologies. That guy… he’s not really a bad sort, but he gets blinded by what’s in front of him sometimes.
[happily] Nope, everybody’s been with the team ever since it was formed. That guy’s a pretty good adventurer, despite what his personality would suggest.
[amazed] Oh, that’s amazing, to think you can maintain your balance in such a precarious position. This would be pretty dangerous, even for someone with a good sense of balance like yours, no?
Ramposa III is a humble man who believes it is the duty of those in power to protect their people. Despite being king of a nation that placed such importance on background, he ironically judges people based on merit and generally treats everyone with the same respect. He's also very determined, insisting on walking himself despite having problems being able to.
Go for an old, somewhat weak, but strong voice.

[curious] “Is that so? That certainly is a glowing review of him. To think, he would go headfirst into danger to save the weak…”
[apologetic] “I apologize for not being able to protect you because of my lack of consideration. I could not even outfit you properly before giving you that dangerous command… Please forgive me for the lives of your men that were lost because of that… because of me.”
Marquis Raeven was actually a cold-hearted person before the birth of his son. His intelligent and careful nature makes him seem cold-hearted and is characterized as an opportunist by some, Marquis Raeven is a good father and a patriot in the Re-Estize Kingdom. He is a highly skilled noble and a master manipulator, being able to single-handedly keep the Kingdom united through his connections to both the Royalty and Nobility Factions.
Try going for a posh/ fancy sounding voice, but also sound humble when addressing those on equal or higher standing.

Renner Theiere Chardelon Ryle Vaiself the Third Princess of the Re-Estize Kingdom. She is known as the "Golden Princess," due to her instrumental role in some of the major changes that have happened within the Re-Estize Kingdom. The most important event of which was the abolishment of slavery. Try to aim for a cheerful and optimistic tone of voice for Renner's voice.

[cheerful] “But Father, now is the time for me to go walking about. Please permit me to go on a stroll with Climb before returning.”
[disapproving] “Climb’s fine, Warrior-Captain. He’ll be able to protect me, no matter what happens.”
Climb is the bodyguard of Princess Renner of the Re-Estize Kingdom. Owing his life to her for taking him in when was living on the streets, he serves the princess with unwavering loyalty. For her sake, he trains tirelessly every day to improve his swordsmanship in order to repay her kindness. Climb is hardworking and hot-blooded. Go for a mostly stern tone of voice with hints of determination, kind of akin to a young soldier eager to prove himself.

Six Great Nobles are the six great noble families and the second most influential power faction within the Re-Estize Kingdom behind the Royal Family. Seeing as how these are a bunch of different people, there is no voice in particular to aim for, just make sure you give off a sense of confidence

[smugly] “It’s our turn to take the offensive. Let’s attack the Empire while we’re at it.”
[curious] “If that’s the case, could it be that the suspicious magic caster who aided the Warrior-Captain is a man from the Empire? Perhaps he intends to infiltrate us as a spy.”
“Perhaps we could consider capturing him alive. Frankly speaking, the real problem is the Adventurers’ Guild. They count several magic casters in their number and do as they please. We need to deal with them as soon as possible. Perhaps we could make them our vassals or something.”
