Original Animated Series: Super Gal

Project Overview

I am a college student, whose very passionate, about animation, comedy, and superheroes; and am in school to become an animator.

Super Gal is my own, original cartoon series, I have been working on since, practically middle school: A super, superhero parody. Former sidekick, Bebe, now, Super Gal. accompanied by her wimpy boyfriend, Princeton, save “Da City” from villains and monsters. Though the only thing more super, than Super Gal, is her superego.

I have finished the script and animatic for episode one, and have started full production on animating the episode. I am looking for talented voice actors, who are reliable, patient, and have good equipment, that are interested in what I hope will become a real show, but for now a web show.

Obviously, I have more episodes planned, and many roles to fill, but am CURRENTLY only interested in filling those of the first episode.

I hope to have the first episode done, sometime, this summer of 2018. But, please note, being still in college, I have class, home, and job responsibilities, and am just one person working on this, so making one episode, takes a lot of time; so please be patient with me. I do plan to post updates, wip, and shorts, to keep any viewers satisfied, and so you guys can see the fruit of your labors; while waiting for the official episode to come out.

If you have any questions for me, please contact me via E-Mail or, here, on the Casting Call website.

If you want to know more about the Project, again contact me, or check out my account on LinkedIn or YouTube account. Thanks!

Super Gal (Real name Bebe) is the main character of the series:

Seeking more attention and fame, Bebe left the sidekick business to become full time superheroine, Super Gal. Relying only on her years of aerobics and cheerleading, as well as vast wealth from rich parents, who are never there; Super Gal, alongside average boyfriend, Princeton, must protect Da City from the likes of The Nickler and other super villains. The only thing more super, than Super Gal, herself, is superego. As she would rather fight for herself and fame, rather than justice. Luckily for her, Princeton is just as a good of a moral compass as he is a boyfriend, or she be as bad as her bad guys.

I'm looking for someone who can put a lot of attitude, in the delivery of their lines; and just knows when to change the inflection of their voice, even within the same line. I want her to sound a bit more mature, because she's a young adult, not a teen, but she still needs to talk fast, whinny, and like a total bitch or brat. After all, its a comedy :)

Examples of What I'm Looking For: Melissa Rauch (Bernadette from: TBBT), and Noel Wells (Lord Dominator from: Wander Over Yonder)

  • *Pacing/Upset* I need, a name, that describes, me, as a crimefighter. *Pacing/Contemplative* Something that lets the public know, I'm super and a girl. *Angry/Frustrated* Ugh! If only I could find the right words--!

  • *Serious/Monotone* It's Super Girl, *Loud/Mean* BITCH!

  • *Sarcastic* Yeah right! *Bossy*You stay with, Princeton! *Proud/Confident* I'll take care of them!

Princeton, is main supporting character in Super Gal:

Bebe’s boyfriend, and sort of sidekick. He often puts his “normal lifestyle” aside, in favor of Bebe’s super one. He’s also the brains of the bunch, and the designated driver of the Super Van.  Princeton is neither a jock, a nerd, nor a outcast, instead, he’s  just an average guy, and frankly the most realistic and down to earth. He’s serves as Bebe’s moral compass, persuading her to do the right thing, even if her motives for it aren’t. When not helping her fight crime, or hanging around the mansion, up top of his cruddy apartment complex, Princeton is most likely working at his boring office job.

I want someone who just sounds average, but can deliver a punch line and emotion effectively.

Examples Of What I'm Looking For: James Arnold Taylor (Ratchet from: Ratchet and Clank), and Johnny Galecki (Leonard from: TBBT)

  • (Suprised and Easily Dumfounded) It looks like a giant nickel!

  • (Caught off Guard) What?! I'm not her sidekick, (Pause) I'm her boyfriend.

  • *Panicked and Exhausted* Are we late!?

Major Dick

Role assigned to: Harrison Bulman

Major Dick, is a superhero and supporting character of the series:

Super Gal’s former mentor, and the original hero of Da City. As his name suggest he’s a total dick. A superhero for the glory and fame, Major Dick would really rather do none of the work and take all the credit. Despite his disdain for his, former sidekick, becoming more popular than him, he’s always including himself in Bebe and Princeton’s affairs, as they are his only closest friends. When he’s not defending the Da City, or at least pretending to, he’s most likely goofing off at home, or working in his cubicle right next Princeton’s at work.

I'm looking for someone who voice, sounds mature and heroic, but can be very comical on thier delivery, and capture an air of arrogance in their voice.

Examples for what I'm Looking For: Jim Ward (Captain Qwark from: The Ratchet and Clank Series), Patrick Warburton (Kronk from: The Emperor's New Groove), and Townsend Coleman (The Tick from: The Tick tv Series)

  • (Pretending to Be Sincere) Oh, Mary, there's nothing to tell. I was just on my daily "heroic" patrol, and happened to see my ex-sidekick, Cover Girl, here; struggling with these two weak, common burglars, and thought I help her out, for old time sake.

  • *Defensive* What? *Critical* Why bother robbing a bank, if all you're gonna steal, is lousy pocket change?

  • *Sincere* Well, Princeton, someday, you just gotta let the baby birds, leave the nest, to spread their wings and fly. (Pause then Aside) *A little mean* And pray, they crash and burn, in the process.

The Nickler

Role assigned to: Uncle Lumpy

The Nickler, is Super Gal's lamest and greatest arch enemy:

Super Gal’s first archenemy. Surviving from one a tragedy of a backstory: losing his high school, sweetheart, because he was a nickel short of paying the bill at dinner, he turned to a life of crime, and became The Nickler! Weak, ugly, and incompetent, the only good thing about this villain is that he never gives up! Should have been a one-time villain, he keeps coming back, wanting the sweet success of having bested his arch, rather than have succeeding taking over the world.

I'm looking for someone who can be menacing, but a bit goofy, and capture his low self-esteem and insecurites. I haven't fully decided on a high voice or a low voice, for comedy sake, so suprise me, on what you think best.

What I'm Looking For: John DiMaggio (Drakken from: Kim Possibe), Christopher McCullouch (The Monarch from: Venture Bros), Dan Povenmire (Dr. Doofenshmirtz from: Phineas and Ferb), and George S. Irving (Heat Miser from: A Year Without a Santa Claus)

  • *Serious* It's alright, Bill. (Pause) *Actually Sincere* Oh sorry! You know, I just can't tell any, of you apart, in uniform. (Awkward Pause) Ahem! (Clears Throat) Anyway, you two seemed to have no trouble collecting the funds, for my latest evil scheme.

  • Why the giant nickel? You ask? (Starts Reminiscing) See when I young--

  • Curse you! Super (Can't Remember Her Name), ...Super Makeup, Cover woman, ...girl? (Confident) Ah! Curse you, Super Gal! We will meet again! You haven't seen the last, of The Nickler! Muwhahaha--!

Henchmen Bill and Buck

Unpaid
Role assigned to: Uncle Lumpy

Buck and Bill are the two identifiable henchmen, of The Nickler:

They are, the stereotypical fat and skinny, idiot henchman duo. They're not too different from any of the other henchman, other than they actually get names and lines.

I want the basic fat guy (funny guy), and skinny guy (straight guy) voice.

What I'm Looking For: Basically Henchman 21 and 24 from: The Venture Bros.

  • Henchman Buck: I'm just saying, why bother robbing a bank, if all you're gonna steal, is lousy pocket change? *Critical* It doesn't make any sense-

  • Henchman Bill: (To Buck) Good thing we threw out that rope, it was really weighing the copter down.

  • Henchman Bill: (Talking To The Nickler Via Over the Intercom) Ugh, actually, you haven't paid us at all.

Henchman Buck: (Butts In) Yeah, I think that are paychecks literally went into that giant nickel.

Female Extras

They're three female extras.

Lois L. Is subliminally a reference and parodie of Lois Lane, from Superman, but all she does is give that line.

Mary is subliminally a reference and parodie of Mary Jane, from Spiderman, she's an extra, but will probably re-appear in future episodes, still as a an extra and reporter.

Super Girl is subliminally, of course, Super Girl, from Superman, she's just an extra for episode one, but will be a minor character later, under the name: That Other Girl.

I'm not looking for anything at all, in particular, but if you want to do your best impression of their respected characters, they parodie, be my guest.

  • Lois L. (Reporter): Word is, that, that other girl, from the Da Metropolis, has just saved the day, for the first time, makng a fresh start for her new superheroine career--*

  • Mary (Reporter): Major Dick! Mary Anne, from Channel 7 News. Can you please tell us, how you saved Da City, yet again?

  • Super Girl: That Bitch!
