IMPORTANT NOTICE The role of sunny is something we understand is probably not going to hold much effort in terms of lines. The role would primarily be of few lines such as grunting, muttering etc, because of this we found a way to work around it to give more lines and opportunities. We've decided to have non-character dialogue such as, internal narration, for example, "you [blank]" and other narrations that appear in game to be narrated by the person who obtains the sunny role. In shorter terms, the role of sunny will basically be the role of the narrator.

Throughout both his childhood and the game's events, SUNNY is extremely shy and quiet. He rarely speaks and does not like to smile. However, despite not expressing it as clearly as the others, he still appears to care deeply for his friends, as his most treasured memories in MEMORY LANE and the LOST LIBRARY are of his time spent with them. BASIL describes SUNNY as a "really good listener" who does not mind listening to him vent. HERO also states that SUNNY has a great memory.

SUNNY appears to struggle with issues of self-confidence and self-worth. He perceives himself as weak, worthless,and not "good enough."As the "baby of the group," he often falls back on others to take care of him but feels guilty for this as he does not believe he does anything for his friends in return. While these self-worth issues existed before MARI's death, they drastically worsened afterward to the point where SUNNY may become suicidal in certain endings.

Despite being quiet, SUNNY is angered easily, from minor frustrations like the HOUSEFLIES in OTHERMART to much more significant things like his resentment toward the violin. This building resentment ultimately leads to him throwing his violin down the staircase, causing his and MARI's final argument.

SUNNY has also always had a very vivid imagination. He enjoys toys and video games and tends to get lost in daydreams.However, after MARI's death, these daydreams turned into the full-out escapism of HEADSPACE as he became too afraid to face the truth.

HERO (also known as Henry) is a young, 19 year old med student with a mild personality. He is passionate in domestic work like baking, cooking, and cleaning, making him an ideal employee. HERO has a charismatic side that he uses to charm others. He notably possesses talent in succeeding in virtually everything he tries, though he admits his reputation is heavily exaggerated. HERO is rather calm and understanding towards anyone he meets, even trying to comfort them in times of distress. Despite this, he is rather mellowed down in terms of personality, mostly due to suffering from depression over MARI'S death and trying to get his life back on track. HERO also appears to keep his emotions in check most of the time, although he does get deeply emotional whenever he remembers MARI's presence. Regardless, HERO still ties to remain strong for his friends and will do anything to make sure they feel comfortable and safe. 

Compared to HEADSPACE BASIL, the real-world version is more anxious and sensitive. He appears to fear major changes in his life and finds the most comfort in maintaining his reality as "uncompromised" as possible. This can be observed through analyzing his logic, when helping SUNNY with the shielding of MARI's death, often mentioning when referring to SUNNY "he did it, in hopes of things becoming fixable".

This could also explain his sense of comfort behind physical possessions making him recall pleasant memories. He is a target for bullying, typically by AUBREY and her friends, but usually KEL and SUNNY save him from the harassment. In some scenes, such as when he locks himself in his room, he appears to be more closed off than usual. Due to being a witness to MARI's murder, it can be inferred that he suffers from guilt or worse, possibly in the form of SOMETHING.

VANCE is a character and enemy in OMORI. He is one of the six members of THE HOOLIGANS and the older brother of KIM. VANCE is shown to be rather gruff and blunt at times when dealing with new people. He often tends to support his sister KIM in anything she plans to do, mostly to make sure she feels happy. Despite his menacing appearance, VANCE holds no grudges against anyone that his sister confronts and actually possesses a kind heart deep down, Despite their different demeanors, VANCE and KIM both share a love for candy, to the point of repeatedly attempting to shoplift the candy store to get their fix. Taffy in particular is one of their favorites.

KIM is shown to be a tombot at heart, often engaging in rowdy antics and encouraging her friends to go along with her plans. She often expresses herself in a rather arrogant manner, She also has a good bond with her brother, VANCE. She often grumbles in the same way her father does. Despite her unruly disposition, she is shown to be capable of showing kindness towards those she is close to. This is most evident with AUBREY when she comforted her when the latter felt devastated over MARI's death. Even during the present, KIM still continues looking after AUBREY's well-being. She also warms up to the group on the final day, where she tells SUNNY that moving won't turn out to be bad after all. 

ANGEL is shown to be very energetic and easy to get into fights. Having a passion for picking fights with other people, ANGEL has no fear when it comes to confronting those that are stronger than him. He also has an interest in collecting new cards and games to entertain himself. However, his older sister ARTIST appears to be the only person ANGEL directly fears. Another note is that ANGEL heavily respects THE MAVERICK, looking up to him to the point of trying to mimic some of his moves occasionally. 

MIKHAEL tends to demonstrate an exaggerated personality during most of his encounters, often making flashy poses and using dramatic speech patterns in ordinary conversation. He also tends to be a bit of a showoff, paying girls to hang around him so he can tell stories of how great he is. Despite showing disregard towards his family's tradition of baking bread, MIKHAEL secretly admits that he might return to his old tradition someday.

During his youth, KEL is a bit bratty, impulsive and rude, always getting into little tiffs with his friends. He is very competitive by nature, always wanting to win games or races, and is indeed very energetic and fast. He also thinks romance is gross and that girls have cooties. However, even though he is loud and likes to annoy his friends, he genuinely cares about them to the point of constantly protecting them with a strong sense of justice.KEL appears to share a strong bond with his brother HERO and occasionally bickers with AUBREY over petty disagreements over minor topics. He even sees the quiet SUNNY as someone who is a great person and believes the best in him. These traits are shared with his HEADSPACE counterpart.

BASIL's HEADSPACE counterpart is rather cheery, yet shy and humble. He is quick to forgive, as can be seen by his encounter with BOSS after hide-and-seek, and he is very empathetic. He's quite friendly, and his shyness seems to stem from thinking lowly of himself and putting others' needs above his own.

He's very sentimental, keeping memorabilia of his friends and happy memories through photos, and planting flowers that remind him of his friends, taking great care to plant flowers with flower language corresponding to how he sees his friends. His empathy stretches to his plants as well, showing a lot of worries when they're in danger of being hurt, and talking to them as he would with his friends. It is noted that he avoids conflict. He doesn't learn to battle, even after his friends nag him to.

During her youth, AUBREY is very cheerful and is always happy to play with her friends. Always acting true to her feelings and strong-willed, AUBREY serves as a constant source of morale for her friends. This extends to often reminding the group of the right thing to do whenever they are distracted. Despite this, she becomes sad and worried quite easy, such as being the most anxious when BASIL goes missing. Often she is clumsy, resulting in yelling from KEL, who she always fights with. She is also shown to be very emotional at times when something bad happens, occasionally being too hard on herself at times, a trait that KEL takes note of. These traits are shared with her HEADSPACE counterpart.

She's often spoken of as being kind and gentle, and plays a sisterly role in the friend group with SUNNY, HERO, KEL, AUBREY, and BASIL. Her first appearance shows she has a mischievous side, poking fun at KEL and AUBREY's mannerisms and afterwards teasing HERO. These traits are shared with her HEADSPACE counterpart.

Later in the game, it is also revealed she would pull pranks on HERO especially, such as putting bugs in his school desk. It is also shown that she was a perfectionist, spending hours at a time practicing the same piano piece over and over again.

Even after her death, her spirit form is shown to be forgiving towards SUNNY despite what he did to her. She also tries to help SUNNY forgive himself and reminds him to remember what's important. Despite knowing that her brother accidentally killed her in the past, MARI wishes for SUNNY to move on and live out his life without any regrets.

SWEETHEART is a vain narcissist, bragging about her demeanor and appearance often. Her vanity is fueled by the constant attention she gets from the SPROUT MOLES who make up the majority of her vast fan base. After her breakup(s) with SPACE BOYFRIEND, she begins to become entranced by the idea of true love, and causes havoc trying to find it. She's a very dramatic person and enjoys theatrics, following her every impulse and causing drama for no apparent reason.

She also loves being in the spotlight and has a strong desire to be adored, despite showing disdain for her love-struck fans. She is also a spoiled brat that is prone to outbursts and public displays of anger or rage when rejected or undermined, due to usually getting everything she wants. Her easy lifestyle can lead to her becoming bored, which encourages her to run amuck with various antics that cause chaos for everyone involved (and occasionally those who are not). She is also ruthless, evidenced by her large dungeon as well as the torture room inside it.

As the leader of the SPACE PIRATES, CAPT. SPACEBOY is an adventurous man who desires to explore the galaxies and seeks a greater purpose in his life. He is also shown to be deeply sensitive towards those he cares about, notably his father PINKBEARD and former wife SWEETHEART. CAPT. SPACEBOY notably appears to be a talented musician as he created his own SPECIAL MIXTAPE out of his love for SWEETHEART. His loyal SPACE PIRATES describe him as a competent leader with a strong amount of bravery and courage.

However, CAPT. SPACEBOY does possess a rather emotional persona whenever he suffers under his breakup with SWEETHEART or her overbearing personality. This transforms him into the vengeful SPACE EX-BOYFRIEND, who only comes out only if SPACEBOY is angry. In this form, SPACEBOY's personality takes a negative turn as he desires revenge against SWEETHEART for breaking his heart and will harm anyone who tries to interfere out of pure rage.

Despite this, he eventually returns to his old self and is amicable towards OMORI and friends. However, SPACEBOY's second breakup with SWEETHEART turns him into a emotionally despondent figure, becoming the nearly-catatonic SPACE EX-HUSBAND. Having no will to continue living, SPACE EX-HUSBAND loses all purpose in life and deeply misses SWEETHEART, constantly recalling any memory he spent with her. However, he snaps out of this state once OMORI and friends help him regain purpose and his life back on track.

As a caregiver, POLLY is shown to be kind and nurturing, as shown when she treats SUNNY and KEL to dinner. She regularly concerns herself over the well-being of both BASIL and BASIL'S GRANDMA. Though polite and forgiving, she worries that others consider her taste in food plain and often makes more than just a few people can eat, thus being happy when SUNNY and KEL are able to also enjoy her food. When BASIL goes missing, she immediately goes to KEL'S HOUSE hoping KEL can find him.

While she only appears once in the game, SUNNY'S MOM frequently leaves voicemails for her son, asking how SUNNY is doing and how his packing is going. Though never seen in person, one can infer that she cares a lot about her son, as she leaves sticky notes around the house to remind him to take care of himself and calls him regularly to check up on him. She knows what his favorite food is and recommends talking to his friends before he moves out.

KEL'S MOM is first seen yelling at KEL when he first returns to his house, over what took him so long to complete his errands. However, she shows surprise and concern when she realizes SUNNY is with him, causing KEL to take advantage and run upstairs to his room. She shortly proceeds to call KEL downstairs when POLLY arrives, saying she is there for KEL. When KEL decides to leave to look for BASIL, KEL'S MOM asks them to come back soon. After KEL and SUNNY leave, HERO arrives back from college, is informed that KEL and SUNNY are out looking for BASIL, and leaves to find them.

Later, in the night, HERO, KEL, and SUNNY arrive, having saved BASIL from drowning, though unbeknownst to KEL'S MOM. KEL'S MOM proceeds to lament her cold dinner, but is convinced to be happy that HERO is back from college, by KEL'S DAD. When SALLY starts crying, KEL'S MOM proceeds to go upstairs. After changing her diaper, KEL'S MOM goes back downstairs, where HERO suggests that he, KEL, and SUNNY visit SUNNY'S HOUSE. Upset that HERO is not spending time with her, KEL'S MOM reluctantly agrees after KEL'S DAD takes HERO's side, and making HERO promise to wash the dishes with her for the next week. However, she is still not happy about it. HERO fixes this by buying her flowers. KEL'S MOM accepts them gratefully and apologizes for her earlier actions, telling the group to keep hold of their friends because they are harder to make the older they get, causing KEL to reply about the depressing tone in the statement. KEL, HERO, and SUNNY then proceed to leave the house.

KEL'S DAD appears to be more laid-back and less strict than his wife, often able to get a laugh out of things that may have irritated others. He shares this trait with KEL. When he is spoken to in FIX-IT, he first questions why his son is there before laughing it off and promising not to report back to his wife that KEL was fooling around. He refers to KEL as "champ" and seems to be on good terms with him.

MR. JAWSUM is an unbelievably successful businessman who wants his entire career to be successful. He doesn't hesitate to trick anyone into signing his CONTRACTS to work for him at LAST RESORT. JAWSUM often berates his workers if they make any mistake on any of his funding projects. Despite this, JAWSUM is actually a benevolent boss when getting to know him better, prominently shown with his demeanor towards HERO. MR. JAWSUM treats HERO with great admiration and even states that he's "like the son he never had." Notably, he keeps a framed picture of both of them on his desk. There's also multiple dedications to HERO strewn throughout LAST RESORT. One note is that he puts the people he forcibly hires into positions they're comfortable in. Instead of VAN, he put BERLY in his job as the bouncer since VAN is too soft and BERLY is hard-headed and stubborn. He even gives the lazy BANGS the task of inspecting beds and the puzzle-loving NEB an engineering job. JAWSUM isn't willing to lose any of his employees even after he sends PLUTO to send the party packing. Even though MR. JAWSUM appears to run LAST RESORT well, it's clear that the company is just barely staying afloat. This is evident by how some of the customers who are staying overnight are clearly dissatisfied with the quality and service. AUBREY points out that that the TOFU Charity is the worst thing to happen since it takes precedence over the other more important matters that have been rescheduled. These flaws lead to JAWSUM realizing that he isn't fit to work as the boss and his decision to hand the position over to HERO, knowing he'll do a better job in his place.

HUMPHREY can be interacted with his insides through buds. Each bud seems to be tasked with something by the SLIME GIRLS or just there to fill the emptiness of his gut with mundane activities, such as games and relaxing. He appears to be easygoing and fun-loving, shown especially in MEDUSA's lab by how he has designed games that can be played inside himself. He can also be careless and prone to mistakes, demonstrated mainly in MOLLY's lab. His buds appear to be afraid of MARINA, as she uses them as test subjects.

However, he is easily overwhelmed by his hunger for clams. If he is unable to eat clams, he resorts to eating anything, including the SLIME GIRLS, and even turning on the party to satiate it. He is extremely sadistic, toying with OMORI and his friends and telling them that their struggle is futile. He also has a habit of speaking in rhymes during his boss fight as well. He also contains skeletons in his gut, which are implied to be the remains of past visitors who did not make it out alive.

BRANCH CORAL states that HUMPHREY has lived for so long that he lost his sense of morality, explaining why he was so quick to decide to devour OMORI and friends despite being friendly to them earlier. This implies that HUMPHREY may have been kinder and more empathetic in the past.

MOLLY is the devious and cunning oldest SLIME SISTER, appearing somewhat passive aggressive and sometimes flirtatious. She often addresses people as "darling" and has a laugh that sounds like "fufufu." As a scientist, MOLLY seems to prefer working with metal. She puts dangerous puzzles and traps around her lab to counter her younger sister MARINA's attempts to steal her stuff, which can disturb her HUMPHREYS' work, much to their annoyance. According to HUMPHREY, she loves to play games too much and could probably do much good for the world if she would focus, as she sabotages their experimental data for the fun of it. Unusually, her CONVEYOR-BOTS dislike polite people and are accustomed to people being rude to them, as it reminds them of MOLLY. MOLLY describes herself as a busy person whose work takes patience and appears skilled. She is actually extraordinarily lazy and prefers computer sciences and technology as her medium due to the minimal amount of movement required to create her experiments. When it appears HUMPHREY is going to eat her and her siblings, instead of planning escape she accepts her fate without a fight, noting she was already tired from the earlier fight. Later when she loses her body and is reduced to just a head, she ends up finding it convenient and wishes she had thought of it sooner, as it's less to drag around with. She is also quite fond of cheesy potato chips, which are stereotypically considered something that lazy people are fond of. She can deceptively appear gentler than her sisters and at times seems to look out for her easily frustrated younger sister MARINA. After the gang is revealed to lack the money needed for their payment, she says she likes the quiet one (OMORI), and wishes to keep him as a pet, opting to sell KEL for profit. Despite attacking the children, she later apologizes for her earlier behavior and states the sisters tend to get too carried away. Though preferring technological sciences, she doesn't understand some basic codes and blames her laziness on others on occasion. MOLLY is stated to find enjoyment in everything, including pain, as she smiles elatedly when getting hurt during battle and excitedly states that she is having "so much fun" and had been looking forward to another "hunt."

MARINA has a reckless and brash personality. She has a short temper which is shown when she yells at SWEETHEART for not paying her the clams she needed, or when she screams at KEL for biting her after they attempt to take him away to sell him for CLAMS. She also tends to be the one to angrily yell orders at HUMPHREY. She addresses SWEETHEART as "lady" in a somewhat rude manner and has a mischievous laugh, "kikiki."

Like her sisters, MARINA is a scientist, though she works with live test subjects and ever since she was a kid she has enjoyed taking apart creatures and putting them back together. Like a mad scientist, she has created at least 667 unnatural living experiments, having no care for her experiments' suffering. She appears completely desensitized to gore, screams of pain, and keeping small creatures in tiny cages. It's also stated that the HUMPHREY that work for her in her sector keep "disappearing", causing her to continually ask MEDUSA to give her more. She appears to be more fond of conducting experiments on her own time, showing low confidence in MUTANTHEART's existence after creating her and instead demanding the money.

Much to her sisters' annoyance, MARINA's horrific experiments are largely responsible for them being known as sea witches even though they consider themselves followers of science. According to MOLLY, MARINA likes "feisty ones" and she'd like to keep AUBREY, though it's not stated for what reason exactly. She acts in a more violent manner than her sisters, willingly combative, and immediately assumes that when SWEETHEART promises the children will pay for the costs, she means that they are to sell them for profit. Despite her compulsive behavior, she doesn't seem to hold long grudges.

After she loses her body and meets the children again, she says they shouldn't take her wanting to rip off their arms and legs so personally, as it was just a "spur of a moment kind of thing." She wishes to recreate her body out of quality rat meat and thinks that giving someone a severed finger is a good sign of gratitude, and needed to be reminded of the concept of giving things in return in the first place.

Despite being the youngest of the slime sisters, MEDUSA also appears to be the most mature and practical. Calm and collected, she rarely lashes out and is shown to be extremely patient, demonstrated as how she tolerated much of SWEETHEART's complaints and how, according to her FOE FACTS entry, she is skilled at calming down her other two sisters whenever they argue. However, she does not like people with bad manners and feels they should be taught a lesson. She often addresses people as "doll". She loves everything pretty, experimenting with liquid elements as she believes they are just that and being horrified and unusually emotional when her furniture is ruined. She also loves pretty boys, appearing attracted to HERO and wanting to keep him to herself because he is "too pretty to sell." Her superficial personality is further shown after she recreates her destroyed body, marveling over her own gorgeous body and laughing mischievously while pointing out that she gave herself some "minor improvements," likely referring to her chest size. She also mischievously gives OMORI a MYSTERY POTION, claiming it has "entertaining" results, and it ends up temporarily transforming him into a girl when used underwater. During her more mischievous and suggestive moments, MEDUSA lets out a "kukuku" laugh. Out of the three siblings, MEDUSA seems the most skilled as a scientist due to her focused personality. When creating PERFECTHEART, she does not make mistakes in the process unlike her sisters, and the only reason her experiment is shunned by SWEETHEART is because SWEETHEART herself was intimidated by the perfection of the project. The HUMPHREY working for her pride themselves as being the best of the best and appear to be more refined than the ones who work for her siblings, as they do not often complain about their working conditions and are shown to possess more high-level thinking abilities. Unlike her sisters, she doesn't mistreat her workers and never yells at them, but the way she'll pace back and forth when she's mad is frightening to them regardless. Her HUMPHREY workers are also allowed to play games and relax.

Throughout the player's journey, talking to him multiple times results in different dialogue that seem to mainly talk about the HEADSPACE OMORI resides in. Like most minor characters, he has a vague personality, but is suggested to be caring as he frequently offers to bring the team out of the LOST FOREST, knowing it is a dangerous journey.
