No Spring Chickens (Original TV Show) Main Character Recast

No Spring Chickens (Original TV Show) Main Character Recast

Project Overview

Hello! My name is Millicent Basler and I am looking for a voice actor for a new original animated series I am starting called "No Spring Chickens". It will be uploaded on to the YouTube channel Hooting Pictures, where I have another show I am working on called The McNormals, which has four (soon to be five) episodes released.

A Little Bit About the Show:

No Spring Chickens follows a group of senior women, Prue, Ida Mae and Lucia, who are all grandmothers and enjoy hanging out together and getting into shenanigans. It will be a fun, slice-of-life style show!

A Little Bit About Me and the Project:

I am Millicent Basler of Hooting Pictures. I will be directing, writing and animating this series, but it will be published on the YouTube account, Hooting Pictures, which is produced by Sally Basler.

What you will need:

  •  A Discord account. Please leave it in your audition description.

  • A good microphone and a quiet place with no background noise to record in.

  •  Acting skills. We want to bring life to these characters so go ham!

  • A cooperative attitude and dedication to the project.

  • Must be able to send audio files as MP3.

Role assigned to: Suzanne

Ida Mae is a sarcastic lady who is not afraid to speak her mind. She is very fun loving and loves to go out and have fun with her friends. She is married to her husband Barnaby, who is very quiet and hardly speaks in contrast to her more extroverted personality. I could imagine her with a softer southern accent but since these characters are so new I am open to different interpretations!

Voice description:
  • female senior
  • any
  • (when told it's too early for Christmas) I had no idea you were such a scrooge, Prue!

  • Oh my goodness, Barnaby said the funniest thing yesterday! I swear, someetimes he just cracks me up. Isn't that right, Barnie Boo?

  • Oh, don't you worry, Prue, this won't take long at all. I've just gotta pick up a few things for the grandkids.
