Hey chooms! Welcome to Neon Ignition, an audio / visual drama set in a cyberpunk cityscape where the future is as bright as it is dark.

Nefarion, a near-future city, presents a skyline of towering skyscrapers symbolizing corporate excess. At street level, it's a vibrant mix of synth-food aromas and loud electro-punk music, with a maze of alleys and bustling boulevards. Here, alliances are fickle, and danger lurks as much as opportunity. The city is a hub of advanced technology, where cybernetic enhancements blur the line between human and machine, and the pursuit of augmentation is an obsession. Nefarion is a place of darkness, grit, and danger, but also vibrancy and life. In its streets, one's limits are tested, temptations abound, and transformation is inevitable. Whether you emerge as a victor or fall as a victim, one thing is certain – Nefarion will leave its mark on you, forever.

 

SYNOPSIS

In the gritty backdrop of our city, a band of unlikely mercenaries find themselves thrown together, surviving the collapse of a building that should have been their grave. They've been marked as dead for over a week, just another group of mercs lost in a tragic accident. But they're very much alive, and it's a mystery that's got them all asking questions. Why aren't they dead? How did they come back to life? They're about to dive deep into a world of secrets and shadows, searching for answers in a city that's full of surprises.

Please be aware that the script includes mature themes such as drug use, bodily harm, gore, sexual content, violence, and strong language. We are dedicated to handling these topics with sensitivity and respect for our audience.

We're excited to present a storytelling experience that combines immersive 8D audio and engaging visuals. Our story lets you feel the sound, enhanced by an array of dynamic images, subtle lighting, and light animations in a colorful, comic style by SylvellaArt. Plus, we're featuring music produced by Seth Austin. Currently we do already have the scripts for 20+ episodes prepared for the first season written by myself - Vyxenah.

PROJECT TIMELINE

The first episode of this series will be released in four segments on YouTube, with the full episode available on Spotify and as a podcast. Extensive promotion is planned, including live-action scenes. This project is a long-term endeavor, born from a dream and passion for this world. We are excited to embark on this journey with talented voice actors who share our excitement and passion for bringing Neon Ignition to life.

The recording process will be a collaborative effort with our director via Discord. Sessions will last 1-2 hours and will be scheduled based on your availability. A contract outlining the terms of distribution and your rights as a voice actor will be provided and signed to ensure clarity and mutual agreement. [This project will also be an IMDB series.]

AUDITION GUIDELINES

For optimal audio quality, we require the use of high-quality XLR microphones. Recordings must be free from background noise to preserve the immersive aspect of our audio drama. The project demands dynamic voice acting capable of expressing varied emotions, including yelling, screaming, and realistic battle sounds.

PAYMENT DISCLOSURE

Compensation for each role is customized, considering the required time and effort. Main characters will receive higher pay due to their greater involvement. We are dedicated to supporting our voice actors to the best of our ability. As the project progresses, we plan to review and possibly revise the rates to more accurately reflect your contributions.

WHY THE RECAST?

Our actress originally cast for the role will be taking a temporary leave for the first three months due to health reasons. During this time, we are seeking a new voice for Annie to help us with promotional activities and the initial episodes. Beyond this period, we're excited to offer the opportunity to voice another named character, ensuring our collaboration continues seamlessly.


ABOUT ANNIE

Annie, a 32 year-old woman, and a long-standing employee at NCN (Nefarion City News), embraces life with a light-hearted approach. Her tendency to openly express her opinions often lands her in hot water. However, it's her charisma and straightforward, no-nonsense demeanor that have propelled her career forward. She's a blend of confidence, sharp wit, and plenty of attitude.


Appearance: Annie stands at 5'6", with an almost ethereal paleness to her complexion. Her cybereyes are a rich glowing green, complementing her long, wavy light blonde hair. She's always impeccably dressed. Her build is slender, and her style has earned her recognition as the third hottest woman in Nefarion, as voted in last year's edition of Future Buzz.


 Voice Tone: Medium Pitch - Alters to a bubbly Medium-High when broadcasting. She has plenty of sass, confidence and wit.

It's another day in our terrible city - the corpo's just keep rising higher, and everyone else sinks lower.

  • 2. (Almost threatening/Sassy.) If I had a byte for every time someone's tried to silence me, I'd own NCN. Let me make one thing crystal clear: staying quiet isn't in my playbook, and if you even think about telling me to zip it, you're in for a reality check.

  • 3. (In shock at what is happening to her city, almost like she's mourning/speechless.) Last night, tragedy struck with the devastating collapse of a building, claiming the lives of 108 souls. Amidst the rubble, not a single survivor was found, leaving a community in mourning and a city grappling with the magnitude of this calamity. ABOUT ERYX

Eryx, a 28 year old tech prodigy, began his career as a mercenary using drone technology, striving to support his family financially. Despite facing numerous challenges, he's never felt self-doubt; instead, he channels his energy into perseverance and hard work. His ambition and drive for power caught the attention of Quantex, where he rapidly ascended the ranks. Today, Eryx stands at the helm of the company's security division, having established his own subsidiary, Zahfira Tech.


Appearance: Eryx stands at 5'11", with a slender yet commanding presence and a striking visage complemented by golden cybernetic eyes. He embodies confidence in his corporate attire, ensuring he always makes a strong impression. Aware of his past reputation as a playboy when he was a mercenary, he is now dedicated to cultivating a more refined image.
