Need a Mega Man X for a Dub Project
Project Overview
Hi there! My name is Jonathan Paul, also known as Variable Zero on the internet. I am yet again doing fandubs of Mega Man Zero audio drama! This time this will just be an audio drama, though I would still appreciate your help in this project. I am looking for a Mega Man X who matches the tone of the Zero games, but at the same time, can give the same delivery as one would if asked to record an X game. Good luck!
Requirements:
-Have a good mic on you. This means you must do away with phone mics, headphone mics, even lavalier mics. Think something along the lines of a USB or XLR mic.
-Keep background noise to a minimum. I'm here to listen to your voice and your acting ability. I'm not here to listen to your dog bark, or your neighbors' kids playing baseball. I do hope you understand.
-Have a Discord. I can understand wanting to work strictly on Casting Call for a project, however, if you need something like live direction, that will be hard to do on the site alone. Let's make the process as easy as we can, yeah?
-NO AI! If you come here using AI to audition, you will not be acknowledged. I'm looking for authentic, genuine acting, not your computer telling you your grocery list in Laura Bailey's voice.
Preferences:
-I would appreciate it if you would read each line three times through as you audition. This is not a make or break, but I do strongly believe it will help your chances.
-Give me a slight variation in tone each time, so I may get a feel for your range. Stick to the prompt, of course, but don't be afraid to explore your highs and lows.
-Please don't slate. We can get to introductions when I cast you, otherwise it is not that necessary.

Mega Man X is the protagonist of the Mega Man X series, and a side character in the Zero series. He was created by the robotics scientist, Dr. Thomas Light, in the twilight years of his life. X is a remarkable robot with many of the same features and characteristics as the original Mega Man, though he possesses something that not even the original had: the will of a free-thinking human being, coupled with limitless evolutionary potential. He is incredibly advanced for this reason, but also incredibly dangerous. It was for this reason that Dr. Light sealed X away in a capsule after he finished creating X, running him through a test in cyberspace to train his moral compass. Sadly, the process would allow X to outlive Light. He would reawaken 100 years into the future to another robotics scientist named Dr. Cain. Together with Cain, he would become the foundation for a new race of robotic organisms known as Reploids.
In the Zero series, X now takes the form of a miniature being known as a Cyber Elf. This form was taken after sealing himself away in an attempt to halt his own creation gone rogue: The Mother Elf, reclassified as the Dark Elf. He now appears to Zero as a spirit, essentially, and aids him wherever necessary.
X as a character is incredibly pacifistic and introspective. He hates thoughts and actions pertaining to violence, especially when it comes to his own kin, the Reploids; however, he hates the injustice and cruelty they choose to bring far more. It is for this reason that he chooses to fight himself, for a better future and a world where humans and Reploids can live as equals. In this way, X can also be considered an idealist. In this dub, X is characterized by that same sense of justice and belief in the betterment of man and machine that has pushed him forward. That said, after this last battle, X is at his breaking point, and desperate to hold on to the only person he has left to help anchor him in his beliefs. The attempt is in vain, and X eventually gives in to despair.

(Reflective, Nostalgic, Sorrowful) "The light of life born from the glimmering stars, the cries of machines made in a humans’ image, and the ever-burning fires of war that stem from conflict; none of them reaches me here. And yet, as my mind gradually decays in the tranquil abyss of Cyberspace, century-old memories from our days fighting together begin to resurface. I still recall your final words to me on that day, one hundred years ago, Zero."
(Defensive, Resolute, Optimistic) "I…No…WE are not fighting here to tear the people of our world down! Our goal was never to hurt anyone! We…We only wanted to create a world where the hands of two peoples can join together as one!!"
(Pleading, Despair, Commanding) "No . . . please, stop! Stop the sealing process now!!"
This scientist only shows up for one scene and has one line total. He speaks to X with sure explanation to Zero's situation, and he does so without any intense, dramatic emotions.
