Project Overview

Welcome to Koholint Island!

This is the setting for my brand new series, The Koholint Dreamer! I am excited to hear your audition! Before you begin your application, the Wind Fish wanted me to pass along some notes.

Requirements:

My only requirement is for you to make sure you have a decent microphone that can pick up little to no background noise. This is so it can be easier for me to import into my editing software.

Rules:

1) Please DO NOT slate your auditions! You are more than welcome to add any notes to your application prior to submitting.

2) Please share your Discord when you submit your audition in case I need to reach you for any retakes or additions to the script. If you'd like, I will also invite you to join a private Discord server where you can meet the rest of the cast as they are coming in and discuss the series.

3) Please note that for some roles, the only lines are the ones provided in the audition. Therefore, whatever you put in the audition, I will use for the series.

Deadlines:

Auditions: Now through July 5th at 12pm EST

Cast Announcement and Script Release: July 12th at 10am EST

Recording Sessions: July 12th - August 30th, 2024

First Part Release: September 20th, 2024

NOTE: This role requires singing. As such, one of the audition lines is to sing "Ballad of the Wind Fish". You do not have to sing the full song, but it is highly encouraged so I can get a feel for your vocal range.

It is said that you cannot leave the island unless you wake the Wind Fish. You should now go north to the Mysterious Forest. I will wait for you there. Hoot!

  • [Taylor has just rescued BowWow from a terrible fate.] (Impressed) Hoot! That is a fearsome-looking animal you have there! Do not forget, the next instrument is in Goponga Swamp!

  • [Taylor is shocked at the mural she has just read.] Hoot! I see you have read the relief. While it does say the island is but a dream of the Wind Fish, no one is really sure. Just as you cannot know if a chest holds treasure until you open it, so you cannot tell if this is a dream until you awaken. The only one who knows for sure is the Wind Fish. Trust your feelings. Someday, you will discover the answer.

  • [Taylor agrees to help you find the golden leaves.] Smashing! To tell you the truth, there are five leaves, and I want them all! OK, you’ll need to do some digging, so buy a shovel! Are you off then? Good luck!

  • [Taylor comes back from Kanalet Castle.] (In shock) You’re back already? (Taylor gives you the five golden leaves.) Ahh! Très bien! I see you have recovered all of the leaves! Now, move this statue and you will find your reward!
