Project Overview

🌙 VOICE ACTORS WANTED – MOONVALE

Moonvale is an upcoming cinematic Minecraft roleplay series combining slice-of-life, romance, comedy, supernatural fantasy, and mystery.

The story follows Ari Vale, a nineteen-year-old who moves to the seemingly peaceful town of Moonvale looking for a fresh start.

Instead, she begins experiencing strange events connected to an abandoned observatory, an ancient wishing tree, seven founding families, and a history the town has spent generations trying to forget.

What begins as a story about friendships, jobs, university life, relationships, and finding a new home gradually develops into a much larger supernatural mystery.

    Hi everyone!

    First things first I am so thankful to everyone who has submitted an audition already, it means so much to me that there have been so many of you interested in this series!

    As of right now, I have been reviewing the auditions so far and I am discussing with my co-director about everything on what we are looking for in each character.

    I also plan on releasing more characters (including female characters) for later episodes, but as of right now, the ones currently listed are the ones that will be featured in the first two episodes :)

Character Description:
Nova Reyes is quiet, artistic, thoughtful, and highly perceptive. She is naturally reserved and tends to notice things long before other people do.

Nova comes from the Reyes family, one of Moonvale’s founding bloodlines. Her family is connected to visions, foresight, and possible futures. She begins experiencing strange dreams, drawing places she has never visited, and seeing events before they happen.

The problem is that Nova’s visions are not always clear, and they do not always show a future that is guaranteed to happen.

She often struggles with knowing whether she should warn people about what she sees or stay quiet in case trying to prevent something only makes it worse.

Nova develops a close friendship with Ari and a soft, slow-burn relationship with Theo.

Her voice should feel natural, calm, and introspective without sounding flat.

THE WHISPERS / MYSTERIOUS VOICES

Character Description:
The Whispers are mysterious voices connected to Moonvale’s supernatural history, the Seven Seals, and the Veil. They begin appearing around Ari shortly after she arrives in town, sometimes calling her by the strange name “Astrielle.”

At first, neither Ari nor the audience knows whether the voices belong to one entity, several entities, people from the past, or something else entirely.

The voices may be heard:

  • Around Wishing Hill

  • Near damaged Seals

  • During dreams and visions

  • Through radios or corrupted recordings

  • Inside the Observatory

  • Within the Veil

  • During moments when Ari’s powers begin reacting

Some scenes may use a single voice, while others will layer several actors together to create a supernatural chorus.

Voice Direction

I’m looking for voices that can sound:

  • Quiet and unsettling

  • Ancient or otherworldly

  • Calm rather than stereotypically “evil”

  • Emotional when necessary

  • Convincing when whispering

  • Mysterious without becoming overly theatrical

Any natural voice pitch is welcome.

The final audio may be layered, echoed, reversed, distorted, or combined with other actors during editing.

Actors should still submit clean, mostly unprocessed audio unless specifically requested otherwise.

When Ari arrives in Moonvale and supernatural activity begins increasing, Seren immediately sees her as a possible threat. Because of this, she starts off distant, suspicious, and openly confrontational toward Ari.

Seren is not meant to be a villain. Much of her behavior comes from pressure placed on her by her family and the responsibility she has carried for most of her life. As the series progresses, she begins questioning the beliefs she was raised with and slowly develops from a rival into one of Ari’s strongest allies.

Her voice should feel controlled, confident, and composed, with enough emotional range for later vulnerable and intense scenes.

Looking For:

  • Strong dramatic delivery

  • Controlled, confident tone

  • Good confrontation and argument acting

  • Ability to sound intimidating without becoming exaggerated
