Project Overview
Plot:
'Skinwalkers' is a Minecraft sci-fi series set within a high-security military compound where criminals are conscripted to serve as soldiers in exchange for a chance at redemption.
Ezra Brookes, wrongfully accused of murder, finds himself thrust into this harsh environment. As he endures the gruelling training, he quickly realizes that the compound harbours secrets far more unsettling than his unjust sentence.
With the help of newfound allies, Ezra must uncover the truth behind the increasingly strange behaviour of those around him and the sinister forces at play within the compound.
Requirements:
You must include your age and discord username in your audition's description.
You must be 16 or over.
You need a decent microphone with little to no background noise.
How many episodes will there be?
I am aiming for a complete first season with 8 episodes, however I may wish to carry this concept into a second season in the future.

Absolutely! So if you don't get a part this time, keep an eye out, as I might have you in mind for another character that appears later on. The roles that are listed here are only the characters that have lines in the first episode.
What will the series be like?
'Skinwalkers' will be a Minecraft machinima, body acted entirely by me using Blockbuster mod. The series takes inspiration from Coriolanus Snow's time as a Peacekeeper in the Hunger Games book 'The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes' and 'Holes', with an element of 'Goosebumps'.

Ezra is 23 years old when he’s sent away to a military base to make up for a crime he didn’t commit. He is introduced as quite desperate, almost whiny and making nervous jokes to try and calm his situation.
Throughout the episodes, Ezra will naturally grow into more of a leader role, taking things more seriously but not losing his charm.
My ideal voice for him is similar to Nicolas Cantu's performance as Leo in Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles:

(Nervous) Come on, man, we're friends right?! Let's talk about this!
An old classmate of Ezra’s who caused nothing but trouble, no shocker he’s ended up in the same place. Stanley is charismatic but also a reckless idiot, picking fights out of boredom.
My ideal voice for Stanley includes a southern accent.

(Disapproving) Unless you’ve become some murderin’ psycho in the years we’ve been apart, I know for certain that is not the doin' of Ethan Briggs!
(Smug) Oh, I've been waitin' for this moment since the cafeteria.
Better known as Fliss, She becomes fast friends with the two due to her extroverted nature, but behind all that, she is riddled with guilt. Fueled by regret, she attempts to work her way up the ranks to properly serve her sentence, even if that means being pushed to the limits.

(Gradual confidence) Yeah... Yeah! You're right! Soon you'll all be calling me Officer Fliss!
Wyatt is a man who tries way too hard. He seriously thinks he’s the leader of this little group formed on the base and attempts to control every decision. Despite seeming like a classic stubborn asshole, Wyatt does have layers and he may find out he has more in common with Ezra than he’d like to think.

(Threatening) All this weird stuff started happening the second YOU arrived, how do we know you're not one of them?!
Owen Ridgewell is the sunshine of this little group, radiating so much positivity and quite a large amount of energy too, inviting a lot of teasing from the others. He has gotten used to life as a soldier and tries to make the most of it, always looking on the bright side of things.
I imagine him to be quite similar to Mikey from TMNT 2012.

(Cheerful) Welcome to the madhouse, boys!
(Flustered) Oh, you startled me! Sorry bud, you’re gonna have to wait your turn.
(Prideful) You should've seen me behind that wheel, I was a natural. And then I reversed into a tree.
The motivated younger sister to Owen. She actually wanted to become a soldier and so got herself into trouble on purpose. Maisie has already achieved the role of officer and tries to hype everyone else in the group to join her. She can hold her own against most of the men, physically and often mentally as well. While there is a table for people in her specific rank, Maisie would rather eat lunch with her friends and brother.

(Confused) Something seems... off. It's like I'm talking to an entirely different person.
(Grateful) And now here I am, a real soldier! All thanks to my brother being a terrible driver!
Training rookies Ezra and Stanley is a job given to General Sage, the commander’s nephew. While he tries to pull off a tough persona at first, it’s obvious he has no idea what he’s doing and just lets the trainees take over when he’s unsupervised. Sage can be quite the pushover, especially when it comes to his uncle.

(Defeated) Ah man, I really tried. Oh well...
(Stuttering) Uh... I um... wanted one of the new guys to go firs- oh okay he's... he's doing it anyway.
Shaun doesn’t say much, leading to a pileup of rumours whispered about him. A mysterious dude who everyone thinks is a psychopath and purposely chooses to be isolated, however, with weird shenanigans going on at the base, Shaun may have to learn to make some friends, it might just save his life.
Shaun is a person of colour, so I'll only be accepting auditions from black or mixed race voice actors.
