Project Overview

Mysteries of Mindsight is a lighthearted 2D animated indie cartoon series. It follows a high school student named Kuu Sequoia with telepathic abilities and major amnesia. What Mindsight is really about, however, is achieving self-happiness through means such as accepting yourself for who you are, and coming to terms with your past.


These are recurring roles (especially the lead roles).


Outside of voice acting, the team working on this series is exactly one person- myself! That being said, time between episodes (and script readings) can sometimes be spaced out by up to 3-6 months.

  • Mindsight's Casting Has Concluded!

    I want to thank everyone for your auditions, from the bottom of my heart. Both the quantity and the quality of auditions for Mysteries of Mindsight has blown me away. Listening to all of your 250+ submissions has been nothing but a blast! If I could, I would find a way to include everyone on this project.

    With that being said, this project only had 5 roles available, and obviously, not everyone can fill them. I spent hours repeatedly listening to your auditions, trying to decide which individuals to choose (a nearly impossible task).

    Do not feel dismayed or discouraged if you were not chosen. Know that any time I need another role filled, I will review these auditions first. Know that there will be plenty of projects that are just calling your name. Keep pursuing your dreams, and they will come true!

The voice of Kuu Sequoia is a lead role, as she is the primary protagonist in this series.

Kuu is pronounced 'Q,' just like the letter.

Kuu is an 18-year-old young woman in her senior year of high school.


There are 2 general rules of thumb when voicing this character:


  1. Kuu almost always avoids saying words with apostrophes.

    • [e.g.] "I am" instead of "I'm"

    • [e.g.] "That shirt belongs to Lucy" instead of "That's Lucy's shirt"

    • [e.g.] "My father let me borrow his car," instead of "I drove my father's car."



  2. Kuu is a very calm character, and expresses very minimal emotions. She is not, however, devoid of emotions. Therefore, she may still audibly experience things like frustration, shock, sadness and joy. As her voice actor, you would (of course) be expected to intuitively apply emotional nuance to her voiced lines.

Serving as the secondary protagonist, the voice of Lucy Wigburn is a lead role.

Lucy is an 18-year-old young woman in her senior year of high school. She is a highly energetic bundle of joy. Lucy is constantly smiling, and she is constantly physically doing something to ease her hyperactive tendencies. Lucy is a tomboy. She provides plenty of comedic relief.

Lucy's voice should sound youthful, fun, and energetic.

Fayvor is an antagonistic character. She is a condescending, preppy, and demanding person. She is slightly dramatic.
