Gamers, enthusiasts, my name is 5wordsman and I am looking for voice actors for my Original Character Tournament audition for Midwich Valley OCT.
The story follows Guy, an ex-employee of Midwich Valley Infinite Security Penitentiary who was recently demoted as an inmate. Guy does not want to go to prison - especially in a prison filled with monsters and supernatural entities. Guy is only human after all. But he knows something; his ex-employers are about to host a prison-wide battle royale, and Guy doesn’t want to stick around to be part of the slaughter. In an attempt to be as far away from the monsters of the prison, Guy meets, Deedric, a long-time inmate who knows all the ropes around this place. The two team up together to go to the edge of the prison, facing all sorts of dangers and hijinks.

The full animatic is about seven minutes long.
Okay here are some things to note:
This project is UNPAID. Unfortunately, I do not have to means to compensate voice actors other than crediting them.
There are 2 Main Leads and 5 minor roles.
Must be at least over 18 years old to audition.
Any mic is preferable. Just make sure there’s no heavy feedback or background noise.
You may audition for as many characters as you want.
Depending on if the OCT audition gets past the next round, I may need to ask the selected VAs to stand by. If I don’t get in/miss the deadline, think of this as a one-off.
The deadline for OCT auditions is Dec 31st. Whether or not I get in does not matter, this will be done regardless.

What is an OCT?
OCT stands for Original Character Tournament. It’s a visual story competition where entrants pit their original characters against each other in rounds. These rounds are judged by a panel and only one gets to go through to the next one. You may have heard of Law of Talos, an example of an OCT.
What is Midwich Valley OCT?
Midwich Valley is an OCT that is currently holding auditions right now. It is about a multi-dimensional prison where no prisoner may leave. One day, the overseers decide to do a battle-royale event where the prize is freedom. Your characters are most likely prisoners in this setting and they are willing to fight for their freedom.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Your audition should be in a single file. One file per character you audition.
Mono mp3/wav format for files.
Please do not use special effects. Minimal editing is fine.
Please Lable files as such:
Character_YourName.

Hey gamers and enthusiasts! It looks like auditions are over, yeah?
Well, technically yeah, but not really! I won't look at the files until tomorrow. Really sometime when I get on my computer and start making a spreadsheet or something.
So if you still want to audition, you may still be able to! I'm new to this site so if you can't submit files, then make sure to send them to my email in the google document on the top of the description. I can't wait to listen to everyone's audition(s)!

An anxiety-ridden mess driven by a heavy sense of self-preservation. Guy is an ex-employee of MVISP. All he wants to do is be as far away from the monsters of this prison.

Honestly, it's more on delivery than voice.
I don’t have any headcanon voice claims for him. But he’s supposed to sound like a pathetic everyman who gets easily anxious.

A long-time inmate in MVISP. Deedric may look human, but he’s actually 143 ravens that can shapeshift. He’s a laid-back guy who is willing to give you tough-love advice whenever.

Hints of gravel. It mostly shows up when he’s angry or serious.
At least 24 lines.
I’m more interested in delivery and how close the accent is.

Penni is an AI made to monitor all the activity of every single prisoner in MVISP. Her goal is simple: Make sure no one escapes - and she’ll do it with a smile.

As far as I’m aware, Penni does have a canon voice (See here) However, I do not mind any alternatives/similar voices.
