METAL GEAR SOLID: PEACE WALKER: THE FAN DUB
Project Overview
STORY SUMMARY:
Stories tell of a legendary solider who once waged war against the world. His name was Naked Snake, a.k.a. Big Boss, and the truth behind this legend will finally be told. The era is the 1970's . Big Boss had stationed his "Soldiers Without Borders" in Colombia, South America, where he was approached by visitors from Costa Rica, a "nation without a military." In the wake of the Cuban Missile Crisis, as Latin America became a key to maintaining the power balance between East and West, Costa Rica had miraculously managed to maintain its peace and neutrality. However, in various regions of the country, a mysterious armed force seemed to be engaging in suspicious activities. Now, to preserve peace in this nation without a military, the "Soldiers Without Borders" move into action. In time, they would be known as the founders of "Outer Heaven."
REQUIREMENTS:
-You must have a decent sounding mic in order to make recordings. I cannot emphasize this enough: DECENT QUALITY MICROPHONES THAT CAN RECORD WITH PERFECT CLARITY. If a recording contains any background noises or dialogue, it will affect the audition process and judging. For the best effect, try and record with a Blue Yeti Microphone, as it is one of the best sounding microphones in the business.
-Make sure you read the dialogue BEFORE rehearsing your lines. If you decide to just jump in and do your best Snake impression on the first try, it is highly likely that you will notice a few mistakes. It's always a good thing to read and look at your dialogue before you decide to voice your characters.
-Doing impressions is highy discouraged: I know that this is a Metal Gear fandub, but it is also a project where one can experiment with different vocal ranges. Don't try and do impressions that try to sound similar to the original voice actors. It's better if you a voice range that is more comfortable for your setting.
-If you need some assistance on how to do some of the lines, try and search up the METAL GEAR SOLID: PEACE WALKER cutscenes on YouTube! Listen to each character, and how they sound, then try and work your voice around that piece of dialogue to make it sound unique!

Coldman's private military force, the Peace Sentinels were designed to oversee the protection of the robot Peace Walker as it was completed.
Fearless, obedient, and trained in the arts of warfare, these CIA mercenaries know their way around Costa Rica...
"Yes, sir, we broke him. We've acquired the whereabouts of Target 520."
"Spears are loaded! The barge is clearing Port Bravo!"
"We're under attack! Going to alert status!"

Originally a Costa Rican professor, this KGB agent holds an alterior motive for assigning Snake and his mercenary group to eliminate the CIA threat in Costa Rica. However, could he hide another reason for his actions?

A young Costa Rican girl, her passion for peace help inspire Snake to fight off against the CIA presence in Costa Rica. Her innocent virtues show a kindness that no one can even match up to.
"My name is Paz, and I will do anything to protect my namesake. It is my one and only purpose."

"Please, get them out of my country...Make them leave Costa Rica!"

The youngest of the Libre family, Chico assists his sister in running the Sandinistas with his expert knowledge of the jungle and lands. However, underneath that chipper exterior, lies a longing to be a soldier to die for his country...
"Everyone treats me like a child! I-I couldn't stand it anymore! I'm not a kid, I'm 12!"
"Now that papa's gone, my sister is La Commandante De La Revolucion!"

The father of the soon Hal Emmerich, Huey is the lead designer on the walking, bipedal weapon, Peace Walker. As soon as he meets Snake, he devotes his energies to making sure that a nuclear holocaust isn't on his hands, nor anyone else's....

"Peace Walker is a fully autonomous system. Unlike the other machines you've fought, it's command authorities are located inside it's cerebrum, the mammal pod."

Big Boss's own private military force. These soldiers decided to give up their native homeland and fight to become a nation where soldiers can live in peace. Although highly trained by the legend himself, these soldiers are loyal, friendly, and respectful in serving Big Boss....
"Look alive, ladies, the Boss is here to join us! Show 'em how it's done, Boss!"
"But, in revolution, doesn't one triumph or die?"
"Alright, why don't we do something special since the Boss is here! Anyone who feels like getting their ass kicked, step forward! Don't hold back, Boss!"
Original Actor: David Hayter
The legendary mercenary who slain the Boss during Operation Snake Eater. After being merited by the CIA as "Big Boss", he shunned his country and went on to found the Militares Sans Frontieres.
