Meridia's Order - A Skyrim Mod
Project Overview
Hello! Welcome to the Meridia's Order casting call. I'm really pleased you're interested in the project! Please have a read of all the information here and about each character you wish to audition for as it'll help you greatly!
Meridia's Order is an expansive quest-line mod for Skyrim, adding many hours of content to the game. The player faces a great threat of Necromancy against the righteous Meridia's Order and will craft their own story through their choices.
I ask that all auditions have great quality audio. There is a small amount of leniency for this as I can clean up the tracks, but this is a professional project and should be treated as such! Each character has an estimated line count, but these are subject to very minor changes across development.
A few things to note if your audition is successful:
- I'm keen to make things as easy as they can be for both of us! Your script will be in a PDF format, and will number each individual line (along with additional information about that line - circumstances, emotion, lines that have come before, etc). I ask that all lines are sent over as separate tracks and are numbered in correlation with the line number on the script.
- I prefer to work over email, so if you are successful, I'll send you over my email so that we can get started!
- Some of these roles have a lot of lines and will need serious voice actors to do them justice! For most roles, I will place the current line count (subject to minimal changes) along with how I'd like the voices to sound. Some characters have more leniency than others when it comes to accents/voice styles, and some I'll be entirely happy for you to come up with your own spin on things!
- To give everyone the best possible opportunity, some characters are collated into voice types rather than characters. This will give you a good chunk of lines to do! If you successfully audition for a voice type, you will receive multiple character scripts. When sending lines over, please follow the same format as mentioned earlier, and be sure to keep each character's lines separate.

High Priestess Alara is a main character in our story. She is stoic and headstrong but is susceptible to doubting herself and her faith. She works hard to protect those around her, and is a maternal figure for many in Meridia's Order.
Line Count: 470
Voice: I'd like Alara to have a classic Nord accent or Scottish. However, I am open to other voices. She is righteous, but can also be soft and caring when she needs to be. If you think you have a good spin on it, please do audition!

This Necromancer has been practicing their vile arts in the Hall of the Dead, defiling corpses and violating the sanctity of death.
It's nice to travel with someone outside the confines of our Sanctum. We haven't inducted an Acolyte into our Order for sometime.

Paladin Marith is a main character in our story. She is the player's main companion during the story. She is caring and compassionate, but is very capable of cracking a joke every now and then.
Line Count: Estimate 570
Voice: I'm very open to Marith's voice. She needs to sound friendly and engaging.

One of my main responsibilities as Paladin is to disrupt and destroy any dark or undead machinations. From what I hear, you follow a similar path.
I'm glad you're alright. I was worried about you. For a moment, when you vanished... I thought that was it...
In Combat: Just another day killing something that is already dead!
Garin Anathri is a major character in our story. He used to study the art of necromancy before being saved by High Priestess Alara, and now hopes to repay her by guarding Meridia's Sanctum with his life.
Line Count: 255
Voice: Garin should have a low but warm voice. Accent should ideally be English.
I hope I will be forgiven in death and not spend eternity in a deplorable plane of Oblivion or even worse... the Soul Cairn.
Stand down, or face execution at the hand of Meridia's Light!
Look, you might feel a slight pinch, but if I cast it right, hopefully it won't be anything more than that.
Arch-Paladin Laracin is a large character in our story. He is stoical, ruthless and does not suffer fools gladly. He will protect those he cares about with his life, and is a strong leader.
Line Count: 195
Voice: Laracin should have a commanding voice without being too aggressive. He should speak confidently but not too overbearing. Ideally an English accent, but I am open to this.
I am Arch-Paladin to Meridia's Order. I serve our Lady by spreading her light to the darkest corners of Skyrim.
As you've seen, it would appear their narrow-minded thinking is preventing them from seeing our purity. As such, they pose a threat to our Order.
In Combat: Yield, and you may still find mercy!
Fiya is a large part of our story, and is the main antagonist. She has a dark backstory and has even darker ambitions. She is the leader of our opposing faction and is ruthless to the core. Despite her evil nature, she doesn't let this stop her from having some fun with her enemies.
Line Count: 90
Voice: Fiya is obviously evil and delights in it. Her dialogue should be sharp/pointed.
None shall stand to oppose us! Least of all you, and your pitiful Order.
Years of my life were spent watching petulant nobles trampling over those who did their dirty work. Too pompous to sully their hands with our filth!
The time has come for you to pay for your crimes against The Malevolent. I'm almost too excited to say it. It's so delightfully delicious.
Meridia is an important character in our story. She is a God that the story is centred around. She has a very recognizable voice for many Skyrim players.

Voice: I'm very keen for the voice to be as close to the original as possible. We will be revoicing all original dialogue however, so as long as the voice is powerful and commanding, I'm open to changes.

Paladin Asger is a medium character in our story. He is a Paladin and warrior who has dedicated his life to the Order. He is hardy, but cares about his friends.
Line Count: 177
Voice: Asger should have a voice befitting a tough and steadfast warrior. Low, grumbly, etc.

This Sanctum is full of good people who have their hearts in the right place. Best remember that if you're looking to cause any trouble.
Findar is a minor character in our story. He is a confidence trickster. A liar and a thief.

Voice: I'm open to this one. Findar tries to keep the mood light, so bear this in mind.

The one and only. Findar the Wise. Proprietor of stolen goods, friend of the shadows, and soon to be king of the underworld.
It was almost their only valuable possession. I wouldn't be a very good thief if I had robbed them and not taken it.
Excellent. Watch my back. Oh, and don't worry, I managed to sneak in my own dagger. Don't ask how.
Vaegra is a minor character in our story. She was once part of the opposing faction to Meridia's Order, but has defected. She has no ill intent, and is not very powerful.

Voice: Very open to this one. She's young and kind.

Acolyte Una is a medium character in our story. She is a follower of Meridia, but her faith has been shaken recently. She is unsure about her loyalty but can be brash and quick to anger.

Voice:Very open to this voice. Just need to convey her frequent confusion and angst.

Initiate Valrar is a medium character in our story. He is a healer, and dedicates his time to healing the injured and sick. This character is homosexual, so please be comfortable with that before auditioning.

Voice: Open to interpretation. He is kind and relatively young.

Initiate Velteth is a medium character in our story. He studies different Gods to better his understanding of them, but he has a darker side.

Voice: Velteth should have a low voice. Accent should ideally be English.

Anvaril is a minor character in our story. He is an intelligent necromancer.

Voice: Anvaril is haughty and self confident.

Dralos is a minor character in our story. He is an evil necromancer.

Voice: Dralos is old and wicked.

Tahlani is a minor character in our story. She is a gossip, and is considered to be academically weak by her colleagues because of this. Despite her reputation, she is actually more powerful than many of those around her.

Voice: Tahlani is haughty/posh but upbeat. She obviously loves the sound of her own voice. An English accent would likely suit her, but I am very open to other accents.
Finally, another Altmer. Someone to match my intelligence! It's so dull around here without someone to talk to. I'm Tahlani.
: I know it might sound 'ridiculous' but I promise you, she's up to something! I see her writing notes about me behind my back. In her journal.
In Combat: I'll skin you alive!
Alzacar is a minor character in our story. He is a Dremora and loyal to the main antagonist, Fiya. He lives a life of servitude.
Line Count: 53
Voice: Alzacar is downbeat and obviously miserable. A little nasally.

Cleans-Many-Boots is a minor character in our story. He is the outspoken leader of slaves.

Voice: He should sound coarse and rough like the originals.

This voice type encompasses three characters. They are older, around age 60-70. They can be nasty when they have to be.

This voice type encompasses three characters. It ranges from cowardly characters to stoical ones. Voice just needs to be relatively young male. Accent is whatever you want to try!
