Project Overview
This project will be an Audiobook for one of my favorite books of all time. Matched by Ally Condie.
Summary: Matched, by Allyson Braithwaite Condie, is the first novel in the Matched trilogy. The novel is a dystopian YA novel about a tightly-controlled society in which young people are "matched" with their life partners at the age of 17. The main character is seventeen-year-old Cassia Reyes, who is Matched with her best friend, Xander Carrow. However, when viewing the information for her Match, the picture of another young man - Ky Markham, an acquaintance outcast at her school - is flashed across the screen. As Cassia attempts to figure out the source of the mishap, she finds herself conflicted about whether her Match is appropriate for her - and whether the Society is all that it seems to be.
Now I know some things you may be thinking, how long with this take? how much time will you have to get lines in? It's a good lengthed book with two others in the series.
I'm not aware how long this will take, but you will have plenty of time to get in lines. I understand people are in school and have jobs to do. I am in school as well and am pretty busy half the time with things. Saying this does not mean you can slack off and not try. If you audition, be committed, if it goes well and everyone is up for it. We might do the other books in the series. The parts will be given in chapters and before I do the editing I will go ahead and send lines for the next one. Your character will not appear in every chapter, the only character who will be in all is the MC Cassia Reyes. If you have any further questions, just comment.

Has the most lines and is the MC.
She is described as having green eyes and coppery/brown hair, her nose being straight and small and her chin, with a trace of a dimple like her grandfather's. On the book covers, her hair is long, dark, kind of curly hair that is brown and it reaches down past her chest.

Now that I've found the way to fly, which direction should I go into the night? My wings aren't white or feathered; they're green, made of green silk, which shudders in the wind and bends when I move--first in a circle, then in a line, finally in a shape of my own invention. The black behind me doesn't worry me; neither do the stars ahead.
"Ky!" For the first time in my life, I trun as fast as I can in public. No track to slow me, no branches to stop me. My feet fly over grass, over cement. I cut across the lawns of my neighbors and through their flowers, trying to catch up to the lead group moving toward the air-train stop.
Is he teaching her to write? My one step forward becomes many steps back as I turn and walk away from it all. From the glint of sunlight on her hair, from their hands, almost-touching, writing letters in the dirt; from Ky's eyes looking away from me; from the spot in the sun with wind and whispered words that are supposed to be mine.
Xander is seventeen years old and is described by Cassia as "golden, charismatic, clever Xander." In chapter 61 of Reached, Cassia says she recognizes him by his blond hair and blue eyes. Aside from his handsome looks, he wears normal clothing from the society. He and Cassia often kiss and hold hands during the book.

"Ky Markham? But Ky's not your Match, he can't be, because-- because I am, I came up on the screen, too, Cassia, but he was the one you chose to see."
Ky Markham is an Aberration that was adopted by the Markham family in the same borough as Cassia Reyes because their son had been killed by an escapee Anomaly. Ky is intelligent and mysterious, holding the secrets of his past close to his heart.

"Have you ever heard of the prisoner's dilemma? No, not the game. The Society changed the game. I mean the theory behind the game. If two people commit a crime together, are caught, and then separated and interrogated, what happens? That's their dilemma. Do they tell on each other in hopes that the Officials will go easy on them--a plea bargain? Do they refuse to say anything that would betray their partner? The best scenario is for both to say nothing. "
