Hello! Thank you for checking out this project!
We are an fandub project looking to create dubbing content related to The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles! Whether it’s official or fanmade content, Matcha Voice Recitals is on the case! Our main focus for the time being will be comic dubs and dubs of in-game dialogue.
Knowledge of the Ace Attorney series is encouraged— but not required— but knowledge of The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles WILL be if you’re selected. Even if you don’t know anything about TGAAC, you can still audition if you ARE interested in the games! You can learn more about TGAAC on a later date if you wish.
This is a CASUAL project. There will be no “big project” unless there is plans for it in the future. Folks who are selected will be assigned a character and asked to provide that voice for our projects. Think of it this way: you don’t have to do one large project, but a bunch of smaller ones instead. So, don’t stress too much about being the big role.
I ask that everyone auditioning to be 16+, to absolutely ensure that no one tries to lie about their age. We will be connecting via Discord, which requires you to be 13+. If you’re found to be lying about your age, you will be kicked from the project.
Auditions are to be done in an AAABBBCCC format. I ask that you do each audition line 3 times in different ways to show your capabilities. This does not have to be all in one take! You are free to edit together your takes into the AAABBBCCC format. Please have a good quality mic and have little to no background noise.
As for references, feel free to use the English or Japanese voice actors. Below are examples, and every character here is timestamped in the description:

Now, I ask that you'll be okay with *ship content*. While shipping content won't be the main priority, of course, there is a lot of Ryunosuke and Kazuma, Susato and (a character who will be casted another time), and Herlock and (a spoiler character who will be casted another time). If you're okay with this, that'll be a bonus!
Please note that the majority of the characters in this game are from London, or are visiting it. Their accents will reflect this! I AM willing to be more lenient for the non-English characters, but it’s still being considered.

Hi friends! I know this seems like an odd update, but I’m shortening the deadline to October 11th, because that’s when it’ll stop being listed publicly on CCC! I’ll extend the deadline if needed, but for right now I’d rather have it set as that date 👍
Ryunosuke is the lead character of The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles. He's a very visibly emotional man, and lacks a lot of self confidence to do his job at the beginning, but learns to believe in himself more as he begins to steel his resolve. He's typically a no-nonsense person, but can be very theatrical as well, especially when solving mysteries with Herlock Sholmes.
He practices tongue twisters as a hobby, and while not required, being able to do tongue twisters will be a bonus! Feel free to include one in your demo!
(Happy) There's not a soul in the university that doesn't know Kazuma's name. He's a living legend!
(Nervous) I won't deny that I'm no expert. I'm just a student. And one that could arguably study harder, too.
(Determined) I will stop at nothing to protect my client! I don't care who I make an enemy of!
Ryunosuke's best friend. Calm, collected, and determined, Kazuma inspires everyone around him. He has a bit of a temper, but this side is seen by few. He's very vocal about his views, especially his disdain towards authority.
(Angry) Until the judge has given his final verdict on the case, no one has the right to treat him as a criminal. So you will hold your tongue!
(Smug) You've become conceited with age, counsel, but the old have to stand aside and make way for the new.
(Happy) Hahahah! There you go again, apologising! Just like always.
Assertive, confident, and excitable, Susato is one of the lead characters in the game. Susato is a very competent judicial assistant, and more than willing to help, sometimes to a fault. She doesn’t think very highly of herself, and is willing to put others before her, only showing how she really feels when put at a breaking point. Susato is a huge fan of The Adventures of Herlock Sholmes, and will often nerd about how much she adores the series when it’s brought up.
(Assertive) Yes. I fully understand. I ask for only five minutes of time.
(Excited) I never imagined I would witness one of Mr. Sholmes’s great deductions first hand!!
(Angry) Prepare… for a Susato Takedown!! HIIIIIYAH!
The great detective himself, Herlock Sholmes is always on the case! Boasting an eccentric personality and boisterous laugh that all throughout the game hear, Herlock is… only somewhat competent as a detective. He often gets his deductions only half right, and needs someone else to correct him and lead him in the right direction. He’s quick to change emotions, and all his emotions are quite extreme, but he will always end up in a good mood in the end.
(Confident) Now everyone, let us begin! Herlock Sholmes is proud to present… his logic and reasoning spectacular!
(Angry) Don’t just look away like you’ve seen something absolutely abhorrent! What was that kick?! You had me winded, I’ll have you know!
(Sad) No one ever gives me the time of day around here… fine, see if I care!
The child prodigy who lives with Herlock Sholmes, Iris is a force to be reckoned with! Despite her childish demeanour, she’s incredibly smart! She’s the writer behind The Adventures of Herlock Sholmes and a clever detective in her own way. Every moment with Iris leaves you wondering: “She can do this at 10 years old?!”
