Welcome to MASTERMIND! (Ep 1)


Synopsis:
Following The Master after crashing his TARDIS on a mysterious planet, the renegade Time Lord is to have an adventure where, perhaps, his nigh-immorality and far superior mind may come in useful for his own advantage...

What is the Project?

"Mastermind" is a Full Cast Audio Drama series set in the HyperTrain Media Doctor Who Universe (an acronym is to be invented soon), this project in fact being the first in the universe! Written and directed by myself, the project follows The Master in a solo adventure across multiple 30-40 minute episodes!


The first two scripts of the series has been written meaning you can start recording lines straight away!


Please note this is only EPISODE ONE of the entire series on here. More casting calls are to be held as the series requires more and more voice actors, so please follow to ensure you're kept up to date!



Please do not audition if you are unprepared to take on the work of 30 minute (minimum) episodes for at least a full 6-episode season which may be recorded over the course of 2023/24! Also, all auditions should have multiple versions of each line recorded (at least two of each line).

    Hey everyone!

    First of all I want to thank everyone who auditioned, you've been a massive help and those who are cast in all roles will help greatly!

    In the next few days I will be contacting you all on this app to start communication before we move the discussions to discord!

    For those who may not be cast, don't worry! I will try to offer everyone at least a role as an extra and if not, more casting calls for the next 5 episodes will be live in the next month or two! If you like I can contact you all then!

The Master is a renegade Time Lord who has one mission in life: Rule the universe. And if that doesn't work, burn it! Practically being an evil version of "The Doctor", The Master is the protagonist in this series - but do not mistake that for him being a good man! This incarnation has a wit and charm to him making him almost quite likable, though there is a sinister undertone to everything he says and does, moments where the darkness slips. Where The Master's true self can be seen - one of the most vicious and insane Time Lords in existence!

Alex  is a human soldier. Despite having a strong sense of morality and trying to be the good guy in every situation, Alex is a brave and cautious character, despite her missteps and her amateurishness.

Captain Williams is the firm but fair leader of the rebel resistance. A stoutly resolved individual with a mean streak directed towards people they disagree with, Captain Williams can be cruel and rude at times but always fighting for what they believe in - for the most part, that's the good of the innocent and the downfall of the evil.

Simon is the brother of Alex and is too a Resistance Soldier fighting against the Vonvite forces! Kind and trusting, Simon is a man who takes people at their word in hopes to see the optimistic side of life - though that doesn't always work out...

Doctor Martin Durmot is an inpatient doctor working for the rebel cause on Vonvite. A rather abrasive yet wise figure, Martin is a man whom puts his work before anything else, no matter what people think. And despite what people think of him, Martin does care for the rebel cause - he just doesn't come across that way sometimes.
