Here is a brief summary of the story

In the future VR tech has gotten so good there is simulated touch and omnidirectional movement. And because of that the world has changed and millions play MAST online, the most popular game in the world.

The Game world world's name is Reseph. It features 12 distinct continents, each packed with a ton of content. Crucially, the players run the game; there is no built-in story, only player-driven narratives. They utilize motion-tracked fighting and EEG-mapped magic, where the strongest abilities (special moves) are scattered across the world and incredibly difficult to obtain. Magic and martial arts are deeply intertwined. Outside of combat, the game offers incredibly realistic RPG elements.

There is a new expansion with biggest contest in the world THE MGB !


The grand prize is 50 million, there are preliminary prizes that players can accept but cant continue.  There was a Tournament to create a leader board for players.



On an alternate Earth in the near future, VR technology by the company AXIOM has completely changed the connection of the world, with the invention of the AXIOM 🦋SILICA. A VR environment which not only tracks omni-directional movement but touch. 70% of remote jobs/education rely on Silica. Some jobs and Activities have transitioned to VR because of the surge.

Touch is simulated with the SILICA dust, tiny, almost microscopic beads which assemble into solid shapes within 6ft of the user's IRL space. The Silica dust can also lift/carry players, with a weight cap of 300 pounds! The SILICA’s surface is able to change position, as well lifting and sinking to the terrain of the simulated space. The surface is made up of spinning blades similar to the Disney’s Holotile. [LINK]

GAME WORLD : MAST ONLINE

The SILICA is not without flaws. Axiom has come under fire for Addiction: "Silkworms" (12+ hour users) suffer muscle atrophy,and a myriad of health ailments from the system. Axiom markets "health pills" to offset symptoms. Axiom added the GuardRails™ System to monitor the health of the player and execute safety measures.  Theres also the poor ventilation, dust hazards for children. Despite it being very dangerous, nobody seems to care enough to stop using it. 

While the axiom is priced at 2000$ for the oldest model and goes up to 4000$ for the newest ones. 


The SILICA has opened a new world of gaming. Since the Silica can double as a console and one game has taken the world by storm. MAST online.  A VR sandbox survival Fantasy rpg with an entire world run by players.

With the recent unemployment crisis, the Game has been a haven for players to make some real money with revenue  capped at 30,000$ a year for players. 

GAME WORLD : MAST ONLINE

Ressheph planet with a lot of special material called Blue Tears.


Reseph has 12 continents: Klisso, Dicant, Lululeva, Glowmire, Senera, the Solar Mane Empire, the Gravling Archipelago, Mnemes, Silikar, Zulo’s Maw, Veila’s Garden, and the Astral Expanse. On top of these 12 continents, there are 8 moons.

The game has zones, which are areas with specific content designated as special by the player base and the developers. There are 1,500 zones in total. The game is unimaginably large. Still finite. The amount of new content released every month makes completion practically impossible.

This season will focus on Klisso, which has over 50 zones and is the hub for most new players.

PvP areas. Non-PvP areas.

MAST Online — 538 million active players (92% of Silica users). NPCs are rare; players fill all roles (farmers, kings, pirates). Axiom’s "WorldWeaver" generates terrain, monsters, etc. (Content), but players create history! Every player action can trigger butterfly effects.

Layered Ecosystems. Predator/Prey Cycles. Player-Driven Civilization.

Races:

  • Beastmen: Animal hybrids (wolf, cat, eagle).

  • Imp-Elves: Spade-tailed elves with horns.

  • Whir: Basically elf-humans.

  • Luminari: Fish people.

  • Squee: Basically Dwarves.

TONE

At the heart of all this ridiculous sci-fi fantasy spectacle lies the characters' drive to keep pushing for victory, the bonds they'll create and the changes in their character. 


This story is heavily inspired by the works of Mamoru Hosoda (like Summer Wars and The Boy and the Beast), One Piece, Kill Six Billion Demons, Gravity Falls, Adventure Time, and others.

I want to have huge set pieces, crazy action, heartwrenching scenes and more. 


My goal is to create an immersive, fun adventure brimming with compelling characters. With this very rough draft pitch, I'm hoping to refine the story to reach that feeling.





FORMAT 



The format will be Youtube shorts around 1 minute each posted weekly/ bi weekly.
Each short will be parts of an episode which will be compiled and posted as 1 long form video every time it reaches its conclusion.
Shorts will be posted all over including Tiktok, Instagram, Twitter, Bsky.

The Long form video will be horizontal with a new composition/ version of the animations seen on youtube shorts so that viewers can see something new.

Theatre of the unaligned creates a Season compilation after the season completes:
Journey to the Quest Abridged: Animated series Season 1

My goal is to do the same, but with an episode. I want to follow the same monetization.
Patreon, membership, merch, sponsorship, adsense. 


These channels all make money and It's definitely not impossible to replicate!

The animation will be a mix of 2D and 3D animation. I'm utilizing tools like Blender, After Effects Live 2d, Adobe Animate. 


MONETIZATION

The goal for this series is to hit monetization on youtube and have a patreon with Early episodes, concepts, tutorials, lore, special events.  As I said before, my goal is to do the same as the channels mentioned, I want to follow the same monetization. Patreon, membership, merch, sponsorship, adsense. 


Season 1 plan:
I don't want to have people who join this project work with me in the dark. With no end in sight. I also don't want people to feel like this project could die at any moment. So the plan is to create one season of shorts and episodes. An outline of the story and schedule will be shared with the team. The scripts will be made as we go but eventually I will have them all completed before the end of the season.

Depending on the success of this series, merchandise will be created.

This project should pay for itself this way and I will be paying actors and any new staff that helped make this project happen.

Deferred pay:
As soon as the channel is monetized I would like to make agreements with actors on what we can negotiate to pay for each line you've recorded. Keep in mind this project is going to be a long haul to monetization if production is slow. I want to make it clear that the priority of the monetization is to pay actors and staff and then myself.

During production I will have the progress of the channel’s youtube studio be public and the team will be able to understand how close we are to the Monetization goal.


Season 1 Plan & Team Transparency:
To ensure stability and avoid team uncertainty:

  1. We will produce one complete season of shorts and compiled episodes.

  2. A detailed story outline and schedule will be shared with the team upfront.

  3. Scripts will be developed progressively, but all will be finalized before the season ends.

  4. The project aims to pay for itself, covering costs for actors and new staff.



Deferred Pay for Actors/Staff:

  • Once the channel is monetized, we will negotiate agreements to pay for recorded lines.

  • Acknowledge: Monetization may take time if production is slow.

  • Priority: Monetization revenue will first pay actors and staff, then myself.

  • Transparency: The channel's YouTube Studio progress towards monetization will be publicly visible to the team.

 

Why are you doing it  this way? Why not just make a pilot? 
Making a pilot with no previous audience is a very risky endeavor and I believe that making shorts and compilations will be not only easier but more effective at spreading the word.

If this project is successful, there might be no need for Shorts and we can transition to a longform only format with enough team members!

If I didn't have any worries about this project's monetization I would have done a pilot.



Why not make a  Kickstarter/crowd fund it ? 

I do not have any trust built with an audience because I haven't created any real indie projects online. This doesn't rule out the fact that if the project reaches a good amount of people we can open a crowd funding campaign! Regardless, I would like to start with building an audience.

Why is the plot so complex for a Youtube shorts series?
My goal is to have details for returning viewers to sink their teeth into and find that there is some sort of connected serialized plot. The YouTube creators I've mentioned before all have their own connected stories somehow. I am aware that shorts are usually more about entertaining the viewer and keeping their attention instead of cinematic/traditional storytelling; I will be writing the episodes in a way that there is a good balance of brainrot [not actually, maybe] and story!

Philosophy?!
I'm very prepared for this show to possibly get little to no views at the start. I'm very confident that with continued improvement and consistent uploads, the show will gain traction. I've watched the channels I mentioned before grow from very small to big just from staying consistent. Goal: STAY CONSISTENT!


SCHEDULE/NEXT STEPS


During the process of people sending in their work, I will be writing and concepting and animating more materials for the team and making promotions. No shorts will go up until I create a buffer of 2 episodes. I will have a more in depth schedule for the team.

An unpredictable mess of a research chemist. though she can’t even call herself that anymore after getting laid off for starting a fight with Wallis after he tries to flirt with her. To strangers, she can come across standoffish, but if you manage to get past the walls she keeps up, she’s quick-witted, personable, and genuinely fun to be around. Because of her recent unemployment she has started to become a hermit.  She doesn’t take disrespect in any form and hates being told what to do.  She’s obsessed with the alchemy crafting system. She  actually just wants to see how much damage she can do. 

Before she swore off VR games for years, she loved old RPGs.. She is unpredictable but  she is far from stupid. She uses EEG Chemical reactions of elements  and items in the game to do destructive damage but other than that she has some very rusty taekwondo skills from when she was 15. Toni will be the guild/party leader of what she's calling the “Lowrollers”. Horrible name.

An abysmally low ranked player that had a viral crash out which most people in the MMO still remember. After watching his whole party wipe in the XYZ PVP he spazzed out and still lost, now people call him Revenger because he is a repeat loser to one specific zone in the game where his parties always lose.  Even with his reputation in the gutter, he’s determined to win the MGB.  No one wants him in their party though. Outside of the game, June’s life is hard work. He takes care of his mom, who’s either working or out drinking, and sometimes has to drive her home. None of this really bothers him except for  the fact that he works part-time doing odd  jobs which takes away from his time in game.  When he logs in hes on a mission. 

He’s got intense in-game combat knowledge, focusing on kinetics, with wing chun and wushu as his main styles. Though he has severe tunnel vision and is not creative. Does use EEG “Bullshit”. 

Despite punching holes in walls (and plastering them back), he’s never angry for the wrong reasons. Compliments make him squirm. Embarrassed by his past he has learned to manage his anger. While still harboring a notable amount of guilt. He plays an imp

Renown artist , cult f from her in game mural graffiti  work  , and that she is a sadistic broke art school grad with more unfinished projects than completed ones and bills piling up fast. Charming, slow-thinking, and allergic to rules.  the reason she’s never joined a guild is because she can’t stand power-tripping leaders. In-game, she’s a style-obsessed Imp who treats every fight like performance art, painting the battlefield with her bombs and causing beautiful chaos. Her “art” if you can call it that has landed her a cult following of solo players. None of them are in a guild; they just worship her. She has no impulse control and constantly lands the party in deeper trouble, but her loyalty is absolute once you’ve earned it. 25 Time Played: 5 years. XYZ Rank : did not compete– A self-styled, self-titled royalty figure who carries himself with an eccentric, over-the-top elegance that older players - especially his in-game “aunties” - absolutely adore. Leader of a massive, 500-member guild of extremely unskilled players (most over the age of 50), Radil has the strength to hold up the entire team with the help of a small, competent squad. His guild is aiming for the MGB preliminary prize of $5,000 PER Guild member, which he’s already promised to them, and he does not break promises. He believes he can talk his way out of any problem, a habit that sometimes leaves him underestimating real threats until they’re right on top of him. In reality, Radil is poor and has found that his only source of making money is through MAST. His efforts to help his Guild has landed him stability which he feels like he doesn't deserve.  He’s already earned a Blue Tear by the time Toni and the crew meet him, and while he’s unexpectedly welcoming, he gets  flustered over the strangest things. He uses Capoeira with a mix of kali in battle, he really sucks at EEG but pretends to be very good at magic by using flaunty kinetics.

 35 Time Played: 12 years. XYZ Rank: 12th placeProbably the most mobile alcoholic in the world its a mystery to all in how he’s maintained such immense strength despite being perpetually inebriated. Once personable and charismatic, the last few years have made him bitter  but still likable. with a loud, snarky, and dismissive edge to everything he says. Younger players see him as someone to play with.  Formerly the leader and “King” of his guild, the Solar Mane his is now scratching his ass eating while plugged in. He is a veteran player who once led his guild to the finals in the XYZ , Kataga now has no interest in the “stupid” MGB, convinced it’s draining all the fun out of the game. Instead, he spends his time sparring with other players in his small Guild kingdom, while he rarely loses because hes losing passion. The loss of most of his family, and more recently his brother in real life, has sent him into a spiral — one that’s made him both dangerous and unpredictable. Kataga is supposed to be using mixed martial arts but because of his drinking his kinetic style has evolved into Drunken fist. So annoyed with other players using EEG, hes learned EEG wind magic to whisk people away. He has a weakness to imps and their tails he thinks they are so short and cute.

One of the highest-ranked players in the last XYZ competition, known for his wild creativity With EEG weaving , deep plotting, and a playstyle that’s both numinous. Despite being a silly little freak, his presence in-game feels like a signal that something major is about to happen. He’s not malevolent, but he’s far from safe. Paraplegic in real life, he’s always mounted in-game. His modded SILICA is a Frankenstein of old versions, used parts, and even kids’ models that are all pieced together out of his obsession with the game. 

Jona is the leader of his own guild , commanding respect not through brute force but through his strange charisma. He loves breaking down the personalities of unique players, asking philosophical questions to understand what makes them tick. He will just not pay attention to you if you're boring. His obsession with the game is apparent and can predict what most players play like. 

Jona actually identifies himself with the world and believes it to be real. His in-game time bleeds into reality, where he is much less respected. With most of his siblings gone from the nest, he's the only one still living with his supportive but quietly concerned parents.

I wanted to ask you: what do you think about using EEG for communication instead of fighting? Most people couldn't pull it off, but I think you can. Also, what about your gear—"

A straight-up asshole who never fully listens to anyone, Wallis has an aggravating streak that only ends when he shuts up. Terrible with women, quick to dismiss any opinion but his own. Extremely emotional. He’s a walking headache. A research chemist, he’s now better known for his ego and abrasiveness than his intellect. Every interaction with him feels like a challenge you didn’t agree to. Add that he plays whir and likes to use EEG Harth Fire magic . He's lucky he's  at least smart. His goal to win is through exploitation, lying, smoke and mirrors. He wonders why anyone would play fair?  After all it's just a game. As you can imagine Wallis is headed down a dark path within the game.

ADMIN KWAN – Any gender, The Admin for the game is always laughing and undermining the cast. As the Admin of the first zone, his influence is limited; eventually, his admin rights can't keep up with the expanding zones. He's a passive character who basically cannot intervene but can give advice and hints. Hes so giddy cause hes getting paid by AXIOM. Hes getting good money watching people gamble their lives . Their admin rights are limited to the first zone, and as the team progresses, their power fades, making them more of an observer than a god figure. There’s an odd, almost possessive energy to the way they watch over the cast, like they’re more invested in this story than a normal admin should be. Yes he has 6 fingers.

39 Time Played: 3 years XYZ Rank: Did not compete Loving mother of two with a warm, nurturing personality outside the game, but an unshakable competitive streak when it comes to the MGB. She’ll do anything to win. A trusted member of Jona’s guild and one of the few people he actually relies on, Georgia started as a non-combat crafting player before turning contestant. Her offputting wholesome energy masks a calculating determination.  She loves cookies and it gets caught in her mic. Add that she uses mostly terrifying EEG tactics, utilizing Illusions and diversions in battle. Decisive CQC kinetics to lock in her pray.

Need around 2 Animators for this project. The role will include modeling characters, animating them, drawing backgrounds characters for live2d/ stills. Modeling props and environments. I will be Handling most of the load but I'm predicting my ambition will get the best of me. So, it would be wonderful to have some help.
