Hello! I'm Mari and I'm working with my partner Eden. We're looking to cast MULTIPLE PEOPLE to play civilians in our 6 animated shorts for the relaunch of our original project Malaprop.
Malaprop is a collaborative worldbuilding project about a world of magic where humans inherit powers from random titles soul bound to them at birth. Its world grows as the community grows. Please read more about it here: Malaprop Info Site
Project Details
There are 6 shorts in total. Each short will have multiple talents and be posted to our social media. (~6-8 people per short)
The overall tone of the project is lighthearted and fun.
The project is set to be in full production by mid June 2026 however we will be casting people throughout April and May.
This is a virtual production, everyone works from home.
This is an UNPAID position. It's fun volunteer work! Proper credit will be provided in posts along with a copy of the shorts for portfolios/demo reels if requested by the talent.
Requirements
Must be 18+ to receive a role.
Must be able to communicate through discord.
Must have good to high quality sound/equipment.
Role Details
The roles are listed by sound/vocal performance. There's a lot of creative liberty with the auditions since we aren't casting for specific characters. In a way, we're casting talent to turn into characters.
Make sure to show off your strengths. Whatever is most comfortable and fun for you even if it's just your speaking voice.
Once you've picked up the role, you'll work alongside us to create a character for you to play.
