Project Overview

About The Project

Magicide is an indie animated pilot currently in production as a passion project.

✦ It follows Magi, a burnt out artist just trying to make it in the corporate world before getting tangled up in magical girl shenanigans and reluctantly joining the fight against the oppressive Mir(AI) corp.

✦ The pilot is estimated to be around anywhere between 5-10 minutes long.

✦ Disclaimer: Despite the cartoony art style, the dialogue will feature cursing and loose mentions of adult themes. (Swearing, alcohol, cartoon violence, ect)

About Us

Studio StarStick is a small indie team consisting of myself as the producer, a pair of extremely talented 2D animators and an incredible 3D artist working part time to make this a reality.

Voice Actor Info:

✦ Please ensure a good quality mic with no background noise

✦ Ensure you're available for line revisions or alternate takes.

☆ Pay is based on the amount of dialogue per character.

✦ Preferred payment is through bank transfer (though paypal can be accommodated) and each character is paid a flat rate for the whole set of lines. (I wish I could pay more, and hopefully one day I will be able to, but as this is all coming out of pocket I have a very limited budget at the moment)

☆ I am also happy to compensate with artwork/commissions provided in addition to the flat rate :)

✦ Please have a discord account available, this will be the primary method of communication for the project.

✦ Feel free to audition for multiple roles!

☆ The voice references for each characters are just rough guidelines of what they could sound like, so we encourage you give it a go even if you have a completely different voice in mind! ☆

✦ There are currently no plans to continue after the pilot, we just want to make something cool together, but who knows what the future holds!

    Hi all!

    First off thank you so much for everyone who applied to be in our silly little indie animation, we're blown away by the quality and support!!❤️❤️❤️
    Finding the right cast is very important to us so we will be working closely together, carefully listen to each and every one of the auditions to nail down the right crew for the project.

    That being said it will take a bit of time to get there as it will no doubt be a very difficult choice, however we want to lock in by end of April latest!

    We will be looking to contact folk around the start of next week- April 27th.

    There will be some additional information on how to follow the production of the project with the casting announcement if there's interest!

    Again, genuinely thank you so much for all the time and effort put into bringing our characters to life! We're super excited to be pursuing a passion project and being able to work with such talented folk!
