What is Zodiac Idols?
Zodiac Idols is a new virtual idol group directed by myself, Mir! The group centres around twelve girls, each one corresponding to a Zodiac star-sign (i.e. Aries, Gemini, etc.). The girls meet at their high school, Astral Academy, when the two leaders, Virgo and Taurus, set up auditions to be in the school’s new idol group. There is a rush of people to join, and unbeknownst to any of them, there is exactly one member per Zodiac sign in the group!
Zodiac Idols will mainly be a cover group, though we may have an original song every once in a while. We will cover all styles of music, from rap to k-pop to musicals! We will be singing in English.
I am going to be voicing Virgo (Valerie), so there will be no audition slot for her.
Of course, you may audition for any girl, even if you don't share a Zodiac sign with her!
Guidelines
Please be thirteen or older to audition!
Be respectful to everyone in the group, be they a team member or not.
You may audition for any role you like, regardless of race, religion, sexual orientation, etc. We are an accepting community! (You can still audition if you aren't female, Leo and Sagittarius have more masculine voices!)

FIRST YEAR - 14 YRS OLD
Anna is a tsundere at it’s finest. She is loud and always speaks her mind, and can be quite aggressive when shot down or told to be quieter. She has a big superiority complex, one only rivaled by Lina (Leo). In fact, she and Lina have major conflicts, almost weekly, because the two of them can’t seem to accept that the other might be right, or “better”.
Inside, she really wants to please people, no matter how hostile she acts. Luckily for her, people seem to like her, or at least respect her.
Her voice is loud and aggressive, though a bit high-pitched. Still, her voice is so intimidating that no-one dares make fun of its squeakiness. Look to the lead singer in “The Ballad of Sara Berry” for reference!

SECOND YEAR - 15 YRS OLD
Tomiko is the main peace-keeper of the group. She is quite satisfied in life, or so people would think. She struggles quite a bit at home, but tries to not bring it up to anyone. Still, she knows her limits, and when she is really in need of support, she will bring it up with the group. She is fairly well-liked at school, though many people don’t care to really get to know her, but she is fine with that. She knows she’s got friends where it counts.
She, along with Valerie (Virgo), is a co-founder of Zodiac Idols.
Her voice is quite soft and low, while still being cheerful and friendly. It’s a voice that many would associate with a dark and brooding girl, but she is quite the opposite of that. Look to Eponine from Les Mis for reference!

Gina is kind of crazy, but in the most endearing way possible. She loves pulling pranks on her friends and playing group games like Mafia and Uno. Gina is very charismatic, so she has many friends while remaining “unpopular” (it’s mainly because the cool kids think she’s annoying). Still, she hasn’t got any enemies!
As fun as she is, Gina has a reputation for ruining things, which made her a difficult choice (on whether to accept her into the group). In the end, she got in!
Her voice is fairly medium-pitched, though it gets higher the more excited she becomes. Look to Mina from BNHA for reference!

Chihiro is a complete sweetheart, and really loves all of her fellow idols. However, not all of them feel the same way, as she is quite sensitive and is known to burst into tears at the most minor insults. Because of this, she doesn’t have many friends, though wanting them desperately.
Chihiro is immediately taken under Liliana’s (Libra) wing and begins receiving tips on how to become more popular, much to Chihiro’s chagrin.
Chihiro’s voice is soft and low, and she tends to stammer when nervous. When she’s about to cry, her voice transitions into a more high-pitched and frantic tone. Look to Chihiro from Spirited Away for reference! Yes, they have the same name. Yes, it was intentional.

Lina is a true tomboy. She, along with Sumire (Sagittarius), loves sports and met Sumire on the basketball team. Lina is very well-known amongst the school, though whether in a good or bad way is up to who you talk to. She thinks that she is the best at everything she does, which has earned her both admirers and enemies. Again, whether she is actually good at those things is up to who you talk to.
Inside, Lina has a huge superiority complex, which leads to her acting this way (similarly to Anna [Aries]). She, however, comes from a rich family and can afford to get therapy.
Her voice can be any pitch, but is bratty and has a nasally quality to it. Look to Heather Chandler from Heathers for reference!

Liliana is one of the most popular girls at school. She, like Lina (Libra) comes from a very wealthy family, which probably influences her popularity. Given the minuscule size of the Academy, she is easily the most desirable girl there. Her sheer charisma matched with her good looks make rumours of her being a goddess’ child circulate throughout the school (of course, she’s just a normal human).
She really is a sweetheart, though she can be controlling at times. She, like all of us, is just trying her best.
Her voice is high and angelic when she sings, and chipper and sweet when speaking. Look to Glinda from Wicked for reference!

Selene is unstoppable. She’s a fourth-year, so she’s been at the Academy long enough to be completely in control. She seems to have everything figured out, though nobody’s really close enough to her to say. In fact, has anyone ever heard her say what she plans to do after high school…?
Anyways, Selene’s doing great, as far as anyone can tell. And nobody can tell much.
Selene’s vocal type is strong and powerful, easily the most commanding out of all the girls, despite her not being a director or founder. Look to Linda Monroe from Black Friday for reference!

Sumire is friends with nearly everyone. She really is the epitome of “popular”, though she hates to be referred to as such. She is a big sports nut, and she met Lina (Leo) on the basketball team, where she was mentoring the first-years.
Sumire is known to be very friendly and open-minded, but she is also known to become cold-hearted and distant at a moment’s notice. Due to her status at school, if anyone crosses her, Sumire won’t hesitate to turn others against them. This has left many failed friendships in her wake.
Sumire’s voice can be any pitch, but it is very cool and calm. When she gets angry, her voice gets deeper and scarier. Look to Diana from Next to Normal for reference!

Connie is extremely motivated and loves to be the best. Unlike some other members (ahem, Leo and Aries), however, she won’t push people down in order to rise up. This leaves Connie as both a well-known and well-liked student at Astral Academy. She is quite possibly the most successful girl in the group, despite only being a third-year. Many people are jealous of her, but don’t care to admit it.
Connie loves the arts more than anything, but her parents would rather die than see her become an art major.
Her voice type is medium-pitched, and loud enough to bring attention to herself. Still, it has a somewhat graceful quality to it, which really comes out when she sings. Look to Elphaba from Wicked for reference!

Anika, like Liliana (Libra), is one of the more popular girls at the Academy. Unlike Liliana, however, she can tend to be cruel because of her status. She knows that she’s a top dog, and she isn’t afraid to use it.
Despite only being fifteen, many people at the school are scared of her and give her a sort of begrudging respect. Others simply want to be her.
Her voice is a bit nasally and annoying, while still maintaining an air of control and power. Look to Heather Duke from Heathers for reference!

Pamela is very dependent on other’s approval, and she doesn’t try very hard to hide it. Outside of school, she is a ballet dancer, and she really becomes herself on the dance floor. Because of these two things, Pamela doesn’t have many friends at school, but is one of the most popular girls at her dance studio.
Pamela adores all art forms, so she was very excited to audition for the idol group.
Her voice is soft and high pitched, and is quite quiet when she talks. However, once she starts singing, her voice is powerful and angelic.

I, Miriam, am an awful artist. So we need people to help draw final sketches and designs of the girls, as well as the environment surrounding them. This art will be used in YouTube music videos and on our social media.
