Lovecraft is a visual novel with anime girl versions of lovecraftian monsters. The story is original, there are five routes, and as of now, over 35,000 words. We need some supporting and minor role voices for characters that are route specific. We may also need a new Nyala down the line.
Zara (Aphoom-Zah) is Carrie’s long lost sister, and having lived up in the arctic region of the lighthouse map, her flames have turned freezing cold along with her personality. She’s rude and rather deadpan in most of her delivery, and her social skills are minimal.
“You probably know this, but I don’t like you. I’ve never liked you. I don’t know what Carrie sees in you.”
“My name is Zara. It has been a long time, Carrie. I’m glad to see you survived. So, what’s with the meat sack? Seems like deadweight.”
“Yeah, that’s nice. I’m glad that ended well, now either get a room or stop being cute, it’s making me feel emotion, and who needs that.”
Shari (Shub-Niggurath) is a trickster, and an ancestor of Carrie’s, though not a direct relative. Like Nyala, she likes to cause trouble, but unlike Nyala, she’s far less concerned about who she might harm along the way. Life a television show, people and other gods are the participants, and she’s a less-than-passive observer who will mess with the pieces to see what happens as a result.
“Haha! It’s so jumpy! What a funny thing you’re keeping with you, Carrie.”
“Carrie, honey, why would I lie to you? C’mon. Put the swords away and perhaps we can have a civil discussion.”
“You really know nothing, don’t you? Very well. My name is Shari. You’re a silly little human, and I have no need for a pet.”
Gwen (Ghatanothoa) is a cave dwelling girl whose gaze turns people to entrapped zombies, conscious but bent to her will for eternity. Since she does not particularly want that, she stays underground and away from others. She is very socially awkward as a result of the isolation, will sometimes say disturbing things without realizing it.
“There is no sense in yelling me. I can hear you just fine. My name is Gwen. You are more than welcome. It is quite lonely down here. “
“Do not worry about me. Feel free to visit any time. I only request you not light any fires on the way out. Hurts my eyes.”
“Sometimes I will get unprepared visitors, but they tend to scream and die very quickly. I do not wish that on them, but I can’t really stop it either.”
