Project Overview
Long 15 - NCR Expansion is a large mod for Fallout: New Vegas that allows the player to explore Interstate 15 (I-15) in California within New California Republic (NCR) territory.
The mod will include over 200 voiced NPCs, and 10-15+ hours of highly replayable content with exciting quests and a living, breathing world that reacts to your actions.

Hey, hey! Stay back from the tunnel. There is an ongoing Search and Rescue operation underway.
For your own safety, I need to ask you to not go any further.
Shit, we are totally unprepared to handle something like that. I’ll radio it in, thanks.

I am Brigham, and I am willing to help you see the light for a small pittance.
The holy city of New Canaan, in Utah. It is the city of God's chosen tribe in the Wasteland.
Many years ago, I helped a number of them embrace the love of God. For this, they agreed to escort me through their territory whenever I pass.
Brigham's 80s guard. Doesn't like talking to strangers.

Big tribe. Lot of mothercycles {yes, mothercycles}. We ride from California to the Salt Lake.
We fight pretty much everyone, but we've been mostly fighting the Legion these days because everyone likes it when we do that.
I'm required to recommend that you buy something from Brigham. So do that.

Major Halstead’s team breached the lower tunnels a few hours ago, but the explosions down there must have stirred something up. Cazadores. Swarms of them.
They came out of the walls and the rubble, headed straight for us. They're way too fast for us to escape, and running would just lead the cazadores to the rest of the expedition.

Hey, I recognize you. You're one of them Mojave Express couriers, right? You passed by not too long ago, I think?
Sure. So, this is the Long 15. It runs from Dayglow to old Canada. This stretch of the interstate is pretty safe.
And then, there's the arrival of the colonel, a pretty impressive war hero coming to our little backwater.
The boss of DRC 15, West. Passive-aggressive that you don't have the paperwork to pass.
Voice Description: Late 30s-50s general American accent. Passive-aggressive and a bit grating.

I am the supervisor. I'm filling in for Clarissa, who got conscripted, so kindly please watch your tone.
That's understandable, but it's not something this office is really equipped to deal with.
Oh, I'm sorry, but I'm not going to be able to help with that. Have a nice day.
Generic irritated female customer at the DRC (Department of Roads and Commerce)
Voice Description: Female, Anywhere between late teens and early senior ages is fine, general American accent
Didn’t think I needed an appointment to be ignored.
The Republic sure loves its paperwork.
I fell asleep earlier, I hope I didn't miss my number.

If I die at this desk, don't let the NCR put ‘loyal civil servant’ on my gravestone.
Just once, I’d like someone to have all their paperwork in order.
If you’re here to complain about how long this is taking, get in line.
Works at the NCR Base’s DSPV office. An agitated man who effectively has to do all of the paperwork in this sector by himself. Won’t hand over Grugor (a super mutant)’s pension because if the bill to strip Mutant veterans of their pensions passes, then he will be criticized as being “fiscally irresponsible” by his superiors back West.
Voice Description: Late 30s-50s general American accent. Frustrated, grumpy.
Medium role, involved in a couple of side-quests.

Then, buzz off. I'm busy. I don't have time to deal with a trooper right now.
Medical insurance claims, family pensions, records, posthumous medals, review boards, GI benefits. All of it.
I'm sorry, I can't help you. You're making me fall even further behind, and this backlog of claims could probably stretch across the whole I-15 end to end.
The boss of DRC 15, East. A vulgar and rude man. Works to prevent his office from releasing stats that are too good or too poor, with the goal of just maintaining the current levels of funding.

That's quite the coincidence. We just received paperwork for the arrest and processing of an ‘Elias Turner’ in Baker. Surely no relation, right?
Well, I don't want to spend all day doing paperwork when I could be looking at magazines with very nice pictures of some very pretty ladies.
The name on the desk says 'Jay Bowers'. That is, in fact, my name.
A simple caravaneer who’s stuck at the Mojave Outpost due a case of identity theft. Leads an intro quest to the Long 15 worldspace. Likely the first Long 15 character most players will interact with.

Hey you! Can you help me? Please, I’m trying to get home but they won’t let me through the gate.
Sounds great! Just follow the 15 and keep going West. It’s a long walk, but the biggest danger is boredom. This should be easy money for you.
No way, you’re the best! I really owe you one. Here’s what I’ve got for now - don’t forget to come by Baker later to get the rest!
Recent escapee from the NCRCF. Shot a corrupt sheriff in a town in southern Oregon. Doesn't really want any trouble and is laying low at the hitching post.

{Chuckles}Just got used to watching my back. Old habits die hard, y’know?
I'm from Ashland, up in Oregon. For years, I'd heard about the NCR, even seen some of their traders, but they were always some far away place.

Name's Toby. Is there some reason you're talking to me?
What the hell? Hand that over. The beret has to be earned, not picked up off the ground by a damn vulture.
No, I don't gamble. Waste of money. I hope when the NCR annexes the place, they'll clean up shop in Vegas.

Last month they said I had to wait 30 days for my travel papers. This month they’re telling me I missed the deadline.
The Republic sure loves its paperwork.
Huh... that guy was in front of me this morning. Now he’s behind me. What the hell?

Yell all you want. The clerks don’t listen to me, either.
