I'm looking for long-term voice actors for my comic animation (I’m speaking of years if everything works out well). I've been creating the comic since November 2024 without any significant breaks. The aim is a monthly release of a ~5-8 minutes video episode, not everything is narrated. According to the first 3 episodes one episode is roughly 15-30 overall lines, the amount of lines per character vary. For the start a 2 month release is tested, to get into a working flow and improve it. It will be published on YouTube (channel will be newly created).
Payment: 1€/line with Paypal (I’m calculating in € because it is easier for me)
Note: My goal is to raise the amount to 3-5€/line depending on the length of the lines, currently they are really short. My current income with the comic is not big enough to finance the goal yet. You can see my comic income on my Patreon. I’m pretty open about it and I already have some expenses because I pay a proofreader. If my audience grows or YouTube raises money, the payment will rise.
Age rating: The comic is currently rated Mature (18+), the VA should be 18+ just to be safe. UPDATE (02.05.): I can’t lower my ranking due to the profanities throughout the series and my link towards my Patreon (where I offer NSFW content). but I’m in the process of changing it to Young Adults (16+), therfore VA have to be 16+. The comic covers serious topics like toxic relationships, neglecting and abusive parents and substance abuse by the parents, but not everything is “played out” just visually shown/hinted. Nothing sexual will come up, only hinting and talking about such topics. I can go into more detail if you have any questions. This is my personal rating according to Webtoons guidelines (see Document tab), but as mentioned I have to run through a process to change it.
Comic Title: Like Day and Night (You can find the comic on Webtoons and Tapas)
Genre & Setting: It is a drama romance story of two boys with the trope “opposite attracts”. The story is set in the current time and the location is mainly Austria / Germany with social structures of Japan.
Summary: In his final year of high school, Kazumi is determined to straighten out his future. His plan is simple: stay focused, aim for perfection, and avoid all distractions. But sometimes, distractions come uninvited – in the shape of someone named Takeru. Though Takeru is almost Kazumi’s complete opposite, perhaps there’s something they can both learn from each other.
Script Information: In this Doc Tab, you can see an example of how the script will look. With the feedback of the VA we can adapt it of course. English is not my native language, I made many mistakes, and the text might sound clunky. (I also cringe on some lines when I read them now, so bear with me!) I got a proofreader in Season 2, but the first 90 pages are not checked. You are allowed to make minor adaptations to be easier understood / read / feel more intuitive, but that's not mandatory.
Call Information: Currently I’m searching for the 2 main characters and the most important side character. Other character calls come later. Please make a minimum of 2 takes of every line.
