I started this project because I love this anime and I was surprised that this never received an English release.
As stated in the name of this project, I am only planning to do episode 1 at this moment, if there is actually interest in this project then maybe more episodes will come (this is no muscial btw). ;D
Auditioning:
First I want to say that a decent mic is mandatory.
Try to prevent background noises or static.
Throw yourself into the audition!
The use of effects is allowed.

Casting:
Casting will commence at the deadline of this project, no one will be casted beforehand, I have seen a lot of situations where roles got casted in just one day, it's a shame that people don't wait longer before casting a role, you might miss out on some great voice actors!
Proofreader:
English is not my native language (maybe already noticable). I am making the script at the moment but I am not very confident in my English, that's why I'm also looking for a proofreader, someone who is native to the language is preferable.
So if you are interested in proofreading my script, please send me a PM.

Hello everybody!
I'm still casting people from time to time but have a hard time making these difficult decisions...
I have added two new roles, narrator 1 and narrator 2, they show up at the end of the episode, I was planning on cutting them out of the episode but I have decided otherwise...
I will try to finish the script somewhere next week and then I will send it out to the people that are already casted.

Hello everybody!
First I want to thank everyone who auditioned for a role, I really appreciate the attention this project is getting and I can't wait to start making this episode!
I will use the upcoming weekend (probably only saturday but you know what I mean) to listen to all the auditions and I will start casting some of the roles.
Because not all roles will probably be filled I have extended the deadline for this project to the 15th of January in the hopes that more people will find out about it, so if you know someone who does voice acting and likes Les Misérables then please ask, no BEG, him/her to audition!!!! jk ;p

Cosette is the titular protagonist of the series. She is about three years old in the first episode, she and her mother (Fantine) are trying to find a new home and job, but no one wants to hire anyone with a child. Her mother reluctantly leaves her with the Thénardiers and promises to come back for Cosette once she has found a job.
Mommy, are you angry?

(Crying) Please wait mommy! Mommy come back!
Éponine is the eldest daughter of the Thénardiers. She is a spoiled and pampered child who only wants the attention of her mother and she always bullies Cosette. In the first episode she is around four years old, at this point she doesn’t seem to feel any hatred towards Cosette and actually treats her kindly.

Hey Cosette, here. You dropped your pretty hat.
Let’s go and play again, Cosette.
Azelma is the youngest daughter of the Thénardiers. She also is a spoiled child and looks up to her older sister Éponine. In the first episode she is about two years old and, same as Éponine, doesn’t feel hatred towards Cosette.

Madame Thénardier is the wife of Monsieur Thénardier and the mother of Éponine and Azelma. She does not respect her husband and appears to dislike him. She is very kind to her customers and daughters but can be a very cruel person.
Just leave them be. Will you be staying? Or do you want a meal?
It’s difficult to find work when you’re a single mother.
Éponine, Azelma, come here. Cosette doesn’t have any time to play right now. Come here immediately!
Fantine is the mother of Cosette. After having difficulties finding a job she leaves her daughter with the Thénardiers to look for a job on her own.
This is my precious pendant. I will give it to you when you grow up. Do you want it?
Oh no, I’m fine, Cosette. Thank you very much for asking.

Who is Jean Valjean?

Monsieur Thénardier is the husband of Madame Thénardier and the father of Éponine and Azelma. Monsieur Thénardier is a born business man, he owns the Waterloo Inn where he always tries to swindle people out of their money and belongings.
Why don’t you leave your child with us?
If you look for work by yourself, you will probably be hired. The only thing that we ask is that you pay for her room and board. We already have children of ourselves, so one more wouldn’t hurt.

Jean Valjean is the deuteragonist of the series. He is very kind to others and tries to help people wherever he can. He has a dark past that is revealed later in the series.
