Batman Voices + Villain Voices Needed for LEGO DC Universe (Bane, Black Manta, Orm)
Project Overview
INTRODUCTION
Hello, everyone! This casting call is for my fan project DC Universe web series currently airing on my YouTube channel; ThatMendezGuy.

The series is animated in the form of LEGO Stop Motion along with some mixed media elements to be thrown in soon, currently up on my channel are several chapters and videos that exist within the current universe (Suicide Squad, Justice League, Joker's Asylum!
Unfortunately since the project is a hobby/passion project of mine/currently a student at the moment, and since I as the creator am not making a profit, compensation cannot be provided. My gratitude is always expressed and creative feedback regarding the character is always welcomed and encouraged.
UNIVERSE OVERVIEW
So what's so special about this DC Universe?
It's not just a retreading of stories we've been told over and over again. Our characters are thrust into impossible situations that have never been explored before that will explore the role of creation, freedom and what it means to interfere for the greater good. We'll explore how every move is a political move, what one's responsibilities are with power and the inevitable conclusion that humanity is good spirited. Or maybe a certain character has had the tiniest change in their origin that changed everything about them (Black Canary being offered a position at Lexcorp). Likewise, maybe a certain event in this universe didn't occur (Abin Sur, the original Green Lantern not dying upon his impact on Earth). Our villains too are heroes within their own right, (Luthor forms the Injustice League to combat Injustice all around the globe), and a recurring theme is instead of defeating our enemy, we ask them to join us. Each chapter will explore a day on Bane's nation island of Santa Prisca, the Suicide Squad infiltrating said island, or the Justice League dealing with Steppenwolf declaring himself humanity's creator.
DEADLINES AND AUDITIONS
The deadline for auditions is August 26th , 2025! Looking to cast fast! The deadline is subject to change, please inform me if you'll need an extension! Once roles are casted and slides/lines are shared I would love for a 1-2 turnaround time (adjustable for larger roles/special circumstances).
WHAT TO EXPECT
Voice actors are listed in the end credits after each chapter along with in the description with your character name, actor name and link to a social media/contact info.
I communicate primarily through email but am open towards Discord or other forms of contact. I am always open to meeting on Zoom or Google Meets to discuss the character/the approach/ect.
There are also SO many roles! Feel free to apply to as many as you want! While some roles may seem more important than others, I promise you every character listed will have a role that will carry on for a while..
WHAT I ASK OF YOU
Most of all have fun -- as series as I write these stories/chapters, at the end of the day it's still LEGO and looks cute when a LEGO character on screen is monologuing their dark backstory.
In terms of cutting your lines, I really don't mind cutting them down, but if you wish for me to use your favorite take I'll highly suggest you inform me which take you'll like me to use/cut the line.
Please submit your recordings as either .wav files or mp3 files to my email address which will be provided to you after casting.
I occasionally ask for line re-dos, but I do this sparingly and only after great consideration - I know your time is so valuable, and I don't want to ask too much of you.
Lastly, since this is my magna opus/passion project, this is a project I'll be working for the foreseeable rest of my life. I''d love to cast people who will be able to stick with us for a while. I'm so incredibly proud of current cast that have stuck around for a while, and when starting a new project, I frequently return to voice actors I've worked with in the past. Once again the creative process is a collaboration and your feedback or thoughts are always welcome.
WHO AM I?
I'm currently a film student attending uni! I'll like to believe my animation has drastically increased from some earlier work on the channel. Clearly I have a love for DC Comics, but also have a love for writing, cinematography, A Song of Ice and Fire, ect.!

A cruel, pompous, lauchdor with a god complex who's found himself in a massive position of power in the Caribbean. Knowing he's near his end Bane has found himself more reflective and yearning of simpler times connected to a lost lover of his. The role is a lead antagonist with a large monologue.
Silence boy! You talk too much, listen too little. Make too many mistakes.
Let him see no sunlight, feel no warmth, let him be the boy that climbed the 9 circles of hell to lead a nation.
My right of conquest is more legitimate than that of a bastard baby.
Resentful of the injustice around Gotham, Selina blames that on Bruce Wayne. This Selina is manipulative, sly and ambitious. The role is a tertiary role character for one scene.

An inter-dimension fanboy imp of Batman, Bat-Mite is played very much as a product of Bruce's increasing insanity, but it's left vague if he is real or not. This version of Bat-Mite isn't as goofy as other versions of the character, but he still does relish in how fun this is for him. Looking for a goofy, unhinged, prone to outbursts type voice meant to highlight insanity.

Appearing in a vision secretly being controlled by Bat-mite, this Martha Wayne is soothing, able to switch her personality quick and later loses her anger (Bat-mite's personality coming through). Tertiary role in one scene.

An estranged son with a deep hatred and vendetta for his father. There isn't much humanity left in this villian. There comes a point where he has this revelation and chooses to not turn back. Loyal to his word and highest bidder. Supporting antagonist.

Tell me, how do you expect us to take down an Atlantean, a Speedster, a Green Lantern and an Amazonian?
Looking for something upper-class British English and a voice that could command a room. The Orm in this series begins as King as Atlantis and doesn't have a hatred of his brother. He loves his brother; Aquaman but is ashamed of him as well. Orm is scared of what it means to have a family, putting up walls and attempts to remain detached from emotion. Has been taught to hate the surface yet hatred is hard to find for him. His arc will explore what it means to be a good king. Supporting Protagonist

Thaddeus Brown, once a master escape artist, has grown significantly older, imprisoned by a dictator that has been attempting to brainwash him for many years. Thaddeus is tortured man, paranoid, unhinged and constantly attempting to assert himself to prevent more pain. In a way Thaddeus is seeking an end to it all. Supporting Protangist.

Advisor to King Orm, ally to Aquaman. Caring, and quick to de-escalate tense scenes. Something akin to Lord Varys from Game of Thrones.
Lord Curry, King Orm has nothing but brotherly love for you.
This is a version of Oliver Queen who's fed up with the idea of superheroes abiding by the law. Masked with a sense of comedy, Oliver Queen feels powerless in a world of flying heroes and has turned to unconventional means to make change, even if it means betraying his own beliefs.
From one coast to another, you know the world really is ending when Superman asks Green Arrow to join the Justice League.
Believe it or not, some of us aren’t doing this for cash.

Slightly resentful of his powers that would go on to change his body forever, Victor attempts to prevent that side of him from emerging. Victor is an optimist at the end of the day and despises the schemers and manipulators that surround him. When surrounded by Barry, Victor feels at ease and confident of his abilities. There's a deep seated fear in him that thinks of himself as not even human anymore.
