L4D2 Sonic Voice Project
Project Overview
Introduction
This is a casting call for a project of mine. The overall goal is to replace the majority, if not all of the voicelines in Left 4 Dead 2 with characters from the Sonic the Hedgehog series, coinciding with a series of model mods that have already been published on the Steam Workshop. For context, the character lineup is as follows.

Please understand that I am not looking for voice actors for Sonic, Tails or Silver. These have already been filled using voice actors from a previous project of mine(still in development, about 40% of the way done).
There is no "lead" or "main" role here. Some characters are considered as leaders of their respective groups but none are considered more or less valuable than the others. The amount of lines does vary per character, however. On average, L4D1 survivors have about 1300-1700 individual lines of dialogue, while L4D2 survivors have about 2000-3000. This is mostly due to L4D2 adding significant amount of content in the forms of items and other game mechanics, and getting new lines as a result. Most of the L4D1 survivor lines were reused to cover these gaps in most cases, with some exceptions where new lines were recorded, so as result they have less overall lines.
All roles are in English. Tone ranges from quiet whispers and mourning to loud yells and pained cries. You must be ok with swearing in your respective character's voice. Severity ranges from minor (Amy, Tails) to moderate(Sonic, Blaze, Silver, Knuckles) to severe(Shadow, Scourge)
Background:
The events of this story take place in an alternate timeline where the cast of characters are older than their canonically accepted ages. The period of time that has past is about 9 years. The "Green Flu" from Left 4 Dead has been replaced with the "Metal Virus", a virus from the Sonic IDW comics that turned mobians into Zombie Robots or "Zombots" upon contact. The "on contact" piece is still true, but the difference is that some characters(in particular, our 8 survivors) are immune to the virus and cannot become Zombots.
Deadlines:
This project does not have a hard deadline. I understand that people can be busy and as such I am not forcing anyone to rush as I prefer quality over quantity. All I ask is that you can provide a batch of lines prior to one month after you agree to join. I need to make sure people are active to a degree and do not want wasted spots.

This is a purely for fun project. Do not expect payment.
Lastly, this project will take place over discord as it makes it incredibly easy to quickly send voicelines for processing, as well as communicate with the fellow VAs on the project. Lines will be written on a separate document which will be linked to you in DM. Make sure your lines are clear(unless specified otherwise) and of good quality. Feel free to retake anything you feel is inadequate. You may send your lines individually or (preferably) easily identified chunks.

Recommended Voice Comparison: Scott Dreier, Sonic Heroes
Knuckles tends to get angry a lot faster than the rest of the characters. He doesn't take particularly kindly to humor focused at him, but at the same time, will do absolutely anything to protect what he cares about. He tries to help the best he can, but often times can struggle due to his overall demeanor being very rough and/or degrading. His voice is deep, not quite as deep as Shadow's, but a little deeper than Scourge's voice. Accent is up to interpretation, due to Knuckles design history it is understandable to give him a Jamaican accent, or anything similar, or just a plain North American one.
Tends to bicker with Sonic frequently.

Amy is the kindest of all of the characters. She does her best to make sure everyone is ok and will happily try and pick anyone up after they are down. She cares the most about the physical health of the group, but most of all, she cares about Sonic. Amy is completely obsessed with Sonic, proclaiming him as her one true love, and that she will do everything in her power to try and make him like her. She is still unsure if Sonic replicates these same feelings towards her. Outside of that, she does not speak poorly of anyone in her group but will sometimes get frustrated and call people out for it. When he does get angry, she gets VERY angry and tends to take this rage out either by pounding someone with her Piko Piko hammer, or in this case, takes it out by blasting some zombots.
Her voice is meant to be distinctly feminine, and of a somewhat higher pitch, but not to the level of where she sounds extremely young.

Recommended Voice Comparison: David Humphrey, Sonic Adventure 2-Sonic Heroes OR Jason Griffith, Shadow the Hedgehog-Sonic and the Black Knight
Shadow has a determined and deep voice at his quiet moments, and a confident and angry voice in his moments of focus. He is a leader character, not the one to bark orders but the one who always has a plan and can adapt quickly to the situation at hand. He is also the oldest out of all of the characters, being chronologically about 50 but due to his status as the "Ultimate Life Form", age does not particularly affect his mental or physical strength. He is also the father of Silver, and takes extra care that his son is ok. He will frequently find himself arguing with Scourge due to their clashing personalities. He is the 2nd most vulgar of the characters besides Scourge
Shadow also canonically sacrifices himself to save the other 3 in his group, evidenced by his body being able to be found in one of the campaigns. Because of this, Shadow has the least lines of any of the 8 characters.

Scourge is the only character in this casting call without a canonical voice, as he only appeared in the Sonic Archie comics and never in any of the games with a speaking role. The closest voice IRL I can compare my vision of him to is Dave Mustaine of Megadeth. Alternatively, if you think you can pull of James Hetfield's voice on the album "St. Anger", that might work as well.
Scourge's voice is meant to be somewhat gravely with a hefty tinge of a punk attitude and slight craziness. His tone ranges from cocky and dominant to bitter and angry, even remorseful in some very specific situations. He does not genuinely despise any of the characters but will show some disdain towards them in the forms of insults and complaining, particularly Silver for the most part, although he heavily argues with Sonic when they eventually run into each other. He is not meant to be moral, and instead be reckless and always willing to kick someone's teeth in given the right opportunity. Also thinks he's indestructible and better than everyone else. Scourge is also the most vulgar of all the roles.

Blaze is the most reserved of the characters. She speaks with a feminine, but assertive voice. She also tends to be the most considerate of the group, and tries to get along the best that she can. That being said, she can be defensive sometimes and is not afraid to show her frustration towards the other members of the group, particularly Scourge.
