KPD Radio

KPD Radio

Project Overview

There are two ways that you can join / participate / audition for this project, either by Discord or admission using the CCC admissions; although I will be sluggish to respond to CCC for a variety of reasonings: I will eventually get to you, if you choose that route.

Hi, this is a commission-less and public rewarding casting call that will not be reaping any profits nor will it aim to do so. Everything described in the following prompt will be free of charge for the public and those participating will only be rewarded with the conclusion of the project. The content being produced will not just be mimicking that of a music based radio show, but it will also contain offensive profanity that some will be offended by. Do not apply for this type of content if you have a soft heart or are unable to take extreme content very well. Do not apply if you are prone to be uncooperative due to others participating in the show that you disapprove of. Those with static or otherwise unacceptable microphone conditions have a place on this show as side characters, and will only be performing as these side characters due to microphone quality; in no way shape or form does this make you any less worth than others on the show. The deadline is this upcoming Halloween

What is KPD Radio? What's the project all about?

KPD Radio was a project started 2 months prior to the Halloween of 2017, it was a Holiday Special produced by myself that aimed to mimic that of a live radio show (It isn't live, it only mimics this feature with pre-recorded content.) on the night of a Halloween Party being hosted by the Main Host: Kui. While music plays in between skits that are planned accordingly, each break between music brings about a segment of comedy that aims at the adult and teenage audience; this means that adult humor and immature humor will both be present during the show. All of those participating are given chances to add to the show as they see fit, but ultimately, must be accepted by myself to push it onto the show. There will be several different teams that you can opt to join into, they will be followed. We (currently only myself.) also have a Discord! It can be found at the very bottom of this forum post.

Music Team: You will be in charge of finding music and submitting it. The music must be in acceptable listening conditions, and if additional content of relevance is able to be found; please forward links to the Discord. There is no guaranteed that the music will make it to the final cut, and after milestone phases of the project an opinion will be requested after the project has been forwarded to you for a listen. Only veterans will be allowed this factor, as keeping things without leak is important to the producer. Like all teams, joining the Discord is an absolute need.

Foreground VA Team: These people are the main voice actors, they will appear frequently as depicted characters and will have a dedicated voice to these characters. You must be reliable and able to switch on the dime. You will be required to have a voice that can find a range of emotions and tones. We are expecting you to come back to the Radio Show for future Episodes. ALL VOICES are acceptable as long as they are crisp and without problem. Like all teams, joining the Discord is an absolute need.

Background VA Team: As a background voice actor, you will be 'those' types of people. You know them, the nameless and the unspoken characters that don't quite get a lot of spotlight. Don't worry though, you won't be treated in the same way that your characters are: you'll be expected to be the pizza guy, the pizza girl, the calling numbers that seek interaction with the host, the person that calls in for a song request, that random asshole that tries to crash the party. You're in the background and you make content for the main voice actors to interact with. And in that way, the main characters wouldn't be anything without you. ALL VOICES are acceptable, even if you have a noisy or otherwise problematic recording space. Like all teams, joining the Discord is an absolute need.

Miscellaneous Team: It's goes without speaking that a Radio Show with music and a little bit of voice can get a little . . . redundant. Not to say that our comedy will be dead in the dirt, it is that there can always be more quality to add with sounds that can very well give a realism impression or cartoonist impression. Quacks, screams, shouts and soundboards of all sorts can be used by the characters or in the background as a means of giving atmosphere. Whatever type of atmosphere that might be, the Miscellaneous group can add to it. And in that sense, this group doesn't require a lot of credentials other than your time and effort. Like all teams, joining the Discord is an absolute need.

Those are our 4 teams, thanks for taking the time to take a look. It's just a simple show, I go out of my way to edit things together and gather about people; play music while a static image stares down your screen and try to entertain people with sound, and sound alone. You can find the empty, (I'm lonely, send help.) Discord at: https://discord.gg/UVMnQVT

Please have samples of work to provide when you join the Discord if you decide to take the Discord route of admission, and I look forward to seeing and working with you. If you have more than just 'a few' samples to work with. Thanks for taking the time, have a good day folks. The deadline is this upcoming Halloween. The final product will be given to anybody who is willing to download it and upload it wherever they want. Characters are owned by the producer unless if otherwise specified.

This test is not a character or to test your Voice Acting talent but instead to test your atmospheric and microphone quality to assume what kind of role / team / you may participate in within the community. If you are not applying for voice acting, then it is recommended that you instead contact the producer directly: this is because you aren't expected to audition for anything as a part of the two non-voice acting teams.

  • "Do you like toast? Do you like Pancakes? Do you like waffles?"

  • "All but the door was to open when it was very needed."

  • "Irritation comes from the act of frustrated and worthless actions that bring about no light."
