Project Overview
Wizards of the Coast has begun releasing online web fiction for Magic: the Gathering once again! It is our goal on the Voice of All podcast to bring these stories to life through audio.
This week we are casting for roles in the Kaldheim story Direction. Purpose. Honor. Glory. Kaldheim is their brand new norse inspired world and we have many major roles to cast. You can read the stories here:

We are looking to keep up with the release of Wizards' stories as best as possible and will release our version the second following Friday, so expect to be cast this week and have your lines to me within a few days. This schedule may be slightly different for the time being as they are releasing two stories a week, but our schedule will remain one a week.
As a general casting note, I do not typically have any voice requirements in mind for characters. I would much rather hear your interpretations and choose from among them.

A man of few words, Ranar is an old spirit residing in Istfell, the realm where the inglorious dead reside. In life he was a guardian and a protector of children. In death he is much the same, roaming the world and helping those in need. Due to the nature of Istfell he has forgotten much, but his base instincts remain.
"The two of us could never accomplish such a feat. I do not mean to be unkind, but I worry this is a fool's errand."
"Bjorn... What happened to the people? Where did they go?" [voice rising, suspecting foul play]
"I know how to serve. And I know how to humble myself when I have made a mistake. In life, I stood guard, and in death, I did the same. This quest has tested me, and I failed. I ask for your grace so that I may guard others from my same failure."
A living teen who has found himself in the realm of the dead, claiming himself to be on a quest to reach Starnheim, the Kaldheim equivalent of Valhalla. He is regal, arrogant, and ruthless. In truth, he is Egon, God of Death, in disguise. Unique among the gods, he ages in reverse. Now with the visage of a teen he combines the wisdom of age with the arrogance of youth. His greed drives him to rule all realms, even if reaching Starnheim would spell the end of everything.
"My name is Bjorn of Beskir, and I am not supposed to be here. I was told to find Ranar of Istfell, who would help me on my quest. I ask for your axe and your strength to help me in this endeavor. Protect me, and I will see you rewarded." [About as humble as Bjorn gets, but still said with a scowl]
"I am come for what is owed to me by strength and song. Starnheim and all the realms of the World Tree will be mine." [bellowed like a war cry]
"You have no authority. I am grand. My quest was glorious. I am mighty. Per your own laws, you must let me in." [sneering]
The lone four-winged valkyrie, one pair white the other black. Firja is a paragon of valor and stands in judgment over those who would strive to enter Starnheim, the Kaldheim equivalent of Valhalla.
[cutting off "I demand entry-"]
"You may not. Starnheim is not open to the gods without judgement; it is not yet your time Egon. You will remain in Istfell."
[laughing] "I make no laws, Egon. I am its judge, and I use my own discretion. Allowing you into my realm would speak the end. So, I will not allow it."
"Consider the river. Though the water that gives it its body may change—is it not always a river?" [gentle and explanatory]
The ghost of a man in his prime with a figure like, well, a bear. The Bear King is massive and stoic, standing guard against those who would threaten the safety of his world.
"Indeed." [calm and stoic, preparing himself for a battle]
"There is still time to cease this grim work. Leave my tower. Give the lands of the Elk and the Crow to your champion. Make him a loyal vassal."
"You may have fooled the Elk and the Crow, but you cannot fool me. If you mean to send me to the Cosmos, grant me the honor of seeing your true form." [dying]
