Maria Campos
I'm a professional Audible narrator with a humble but growing list of titles.
I also love doing character work. I've had improv training as well as voice over training at schools including but not limited to The iO Theater, Kalmenson&Kalmenson, BangZoom!, and Closing Credits.
I have a Youtube for personal projects I do between paid gigs. My alias, Quetzal, has been garnering more traction that the alias Maria Campos. So, don't be surprised if you see a name change here in the near future.
I have more Audible titles under that alias, but please bear in mind most are 18+
Between the years 2016-17, I completed the multiple levels of improv courses taught at the iO Theater.
From beginner's improv to advanced level (which included stage performances).
While a student at The iO, I also took general level improv courses at The Annoyance Theater, Chicago.
I took an entry level voice acting class at Kalmenson & Kalmenson. While the school focusses on commercial voice over, it also teaches basic voice acting skills catered to all voice over artists. Curriculum included booth etiquette and an overview of booth equipment.
This course, in partnership with Adventured in Voice Acting, focused on character voice acting for animation and dubbing. Voice training and booth etiquette were also emphasized.
Emphasis on technique, getting in to character, and playing with emotions within a character. Also emphasized how to improve one's home studio and how to handle the business side of voice over.
$150-200 per hour. For indie projects or projects that do not pay per hour, I'm willing to negotiate.
I'm eager to expand the range of voices and characters I can. I'm open to any constructive criticism from those willing to share it.
