Kaiju No.8 In Minutes
Project Overview
Hello! My name is Mike, and I have a small YouTube channel called MikeandAMic (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCJlTf9h9XqnLRNAsrRRVaKA), where I upload parody anime in minutes video! It's pretty much a fun voiceover video that also works as a quick summary of the series.

IMPORTANT:
(1) Being able to meet deadlines. <-- Extremely important! I will be expecting lines to be delivered within 1-2 weeks.
(2) Interest in the anime series and in this project. (If you watched the show, that's a bonus!)
(3) Decent microphone and quality audio. XLR is preferred, but USB is totally fine! However, I would request that there be no background noise and distortion.
(4) There will be screaming involved as well as cursing, so please keep this in mind when auditioning! Please make sure your audio doesn't peak/distort when auditioning!
(5) A form of communication is required. Discord is preferred, but Gmail is fine as well.
(6) ACTUALLY communicate!! Please try to respond to all messages within 24 hours of receiving them!
(7) There is a chance I may ask for a re-submission of lines when working together!
(8) Please provide at least 2 takes per character! Preferably in AABBCC format.
*I may add more characters in the future, so please check back often if interested!
DEADLINES AND AUDITIONS
The deadline for auditions is July 12th, 2024 (12:00 PM EST). However, there is always a chance I may extend the deadline depending on how this goes! I will notify voice actors cast in roles within 24 hours of being selected and send scripts to voice actors the same day. Depending on the characters, I will request voices to be submitted within (roughly) 1-2 weeks.
NOTE
I am prioritizing voice actors who can show emotion and energy more than sounding like the original VAs. Although of course, similarity to the originals will be a bonus.
I do provide feedback upon request so please don't hesitate to ask!

Protagonist. A 32 year old who made a childhood promise with Mina to fight alongside together against Kaijus. A twist occurs when a Kaiju enters his body, turning Kafka into Kaiju No.8.
Kafka has a very likable personality and strong conviction.

Mina Ashiro is the Captain of the Third Division of the Defense Force and Kafka Hibino's childhood friend.

Kafka Hibino... No, Kaiju No.8, you are to be detained and will be taken into custody.
Soshiro Hoshina is the vice-captain of the Third Division of the Defense Force. Soshiro is rather laid-back, always smiling. He seems to enjoy making fun of others, especially Kafka Hibino considering him a comic relief. However, he does have some serious moments when he speaks firmly and opens his eyes to emphasize the seriousness of his words.

Kikoru Shinomiya is the tritagonist of the Kaiju No. 8 series. She is the young daughter of Defense Force Director General Isao Shinomiya and a member of the Third Division.

Isao Shinomiya was the Director General of the Defense Force and the father of Kikoru Shinomiya.
In the past, Isao was the sixth captain of the First Division.

These are for the children version of the main protagonists (Kafka, Mina, and Kikoru).
You may audition for multiple (or all) of these characters.
They will only have a few lines.

Kikoru: Daddy look! I got top marks in all my classes!/ ....Dad, for the last time, I'm only seven. [First line happy; second line disappointed]
It is a humanoid Identified Kaiju who goes around reviving the kaiju killed by the Defense Force for the sake of taking back the kaiju power stolen by humans.
