I heard about your introduction. He told me. I didn’t believe it at first. The idea of you lying in wait for him outside that door—(small scoff or laugh) I couldn’t quite imagine it.
Never! (Hastily) John, listen to me. I have not seen Edward Hyde since you and I last spoke. I had no knowledge of his actions until this morning. And now… He is gone. He will never more be heard of.
You simpleton. You fool! Are you so revoltingly stupid? It is not the pharmacist’s stock that is impure. It is ours! Can’t you see? My days are numbered. And without me… so are yours.

Ha! He never told you. (Jeeringly) I did not think you would have lied. Go home, Utterson. This is all you get!
This is what I came for. You’ve done your bit, Lanyon. Now the choice is yours. Do I take my things and leave, or do I stay and show you the end of it?
So that's it then? You expect me to kill us? Don’t give up! There’s got to be another way! Damn it, Jekyll! NO! (Starting to sob) Don’t leave me alone… (crying) Don’t leave me!

Let me be your friend. Let me help you. I know you, Harry. Something is not right. And we both know it’s to do with Edward Hyde.
Your name is all over this ghastly business, Harry. If it ever comes to trial, you will be dragged into it without a doubt. You know very well I won’t show Hyde’s note to the police. Not with your name on it. You have made me an accomplice to crimes of which I do not know the extent. But no more. This is the end of it, right here. Say it: “This is the end.”
Last chance, Mr. Hyde! Open this door or I’ll use brute force!

So that was Mr. Hyde, was it? So you drink that junk and you become this- this other person? This Mr. Hyde?!
Get out! (Breathing heavily) I never want to lay eyes on you again, Henry Jeklyll, do you hear?!You’ll rot in hell for what you’ve done.

Sir, nobody in this house knows anything on the matter. I can assure you of that.
I went to three pharmacies, Sir, but all say their stock is quite pure and sent me away. Shall I try another?
It is not Dr. Jekyll; and it is the belief of my heart that there was murder done.

Oi! What d’you think you’re doing, eh? Well? How do you answer for yourself?
(Scoff or snort) What, money? You want to buy these good people off? This is not a negotiation, sir. One hundred pounds.
(Scoff) I think you might have warned me before I went off like that. Well, anyhow, I met Dr. Henry Jekyll some years ago. And this man was not he.

Thank you, Dr. Jekyll. I am flattered to have been included this evening.
Pardon! Sir, do you mind assisting me. I was hoping you might be able to direct me. I seem to be lost.

You seem in a solemn mood tonight, Utterson. I suppose it has more to do with that Hyde fellow on the loose. Such sad business about Sir Danvers.
Well, there’s a rather singular resemblance. The two hands are in many points identical: only differently sloped.

He came in last night very late and left within the hour. Quite usual. His habits are very irregular.
(Excitedly) Ah! He’s in trouble! What has he done?

(Sigh) The face is so warped, there’s no telling who this bloke is. I take it there was no identification on the body.
Damn. This will make a lot of noise. Perhaps you can help us find the man. One Mr. Hyde.

Ah, Dr. Jekyll! What a surprise. Out on your own errands today, eh?
Perhaps if you find my drugs not up to your standards, you could try another pharmacy.
