Project Overview
What is it?
Jagged Alliance is a Comedy/Satire War Computer Game that was first released in the late '90s and had its last official update in 2003. Since then it has been kept alive by volunteers throughout the world. In all this time the characters and their voices have all stayed the same. This mod changes all that with new diversity and characters from around the world. 255 to be exact. You can see many clips of the character interactions by searching on YouTube under Jagged Alliance 2.
I have been hiring scriptwriters (over 50) for the last several months and now I am almost ready to have it voiced. On this site, there is some incredible talent both known and up and coming which is why I wanted to post here as well. You will receive credit for your work and have your name and contact information listed in the credits and paid $10 for a voiced script. This project will be given away for free so I am paying for it out of my savings and a labor of love for this great old game. So paying more is not something I can do.
I have multiple voice actors but with 255 characters the more diversity the better and this also helps with people's portfolio. There will be multiple people hired to promote this mod and the game to try to get more people playing and enjoying this wonderful game. Hopefully, that will get you more insight and other work. That is the hope. It will be released on http://thepit.ja-galaxy-forum.com and then to the Russian, Polish, Chinese, and other JA2 Forums.
CHARACTERS There are 255 characters, men, women, diverse personalities and over 80 countries. The scripts are in English but can have native foreign words. Voice Talent has flexibility in how they act their character and modifying the script. There is no sexual content in the game, nor religious or racial content but there can be curse words but not that many.
Name: (The name of the character)
Age: (Young, middle aged, older)
Sex: (Male, Female)
Description: (There are lots and lots of personalities from around the world so lots of fun accents and such)
# of Lines: (700-1200 words but varies somewhat by scriptwriter) NOTE: There is some curse words in some of the charcters but you have the flexibility to modify or change if you do not feel comfortable. There are no racial, homophobic, or negative religious lines)
Some Examples from "Second" Nicole "Second Amendment" Sutton or Second ran into some heat with the NRA who found her too pro-gun and militant. So, after having to quit after taking the Headquarters hostage. (They did not press charges; I think they were afraid) we are happy to offer this spitfire to our mercenary membership.
A bit opinionated and her ways are to be viewed as 1860’s meets the feminist era of the 60’s. Enjoy
A. SITUATION: The sound you say when your boss calls your name: this is a very short one to three words.
a. RESPONSE: You called? (sounding displeased)
B. SITUATION: A response to something good happening to you.

C. SITUATION: Cursing when missing a shot or failing at something you tried

D. SITUATION: The sound the character does when dying or falling unconscious
a. RESPONSE: Ah! (surprised)
E. SITUATION: When seeing an enemy
a. RESPONSE: Those fuckers are going down (confident)
F. SITUATION: When seeing an enemy, different variation
a. RESPONSE: Great, shooting practice (happy/excited)
G. SITUATION: You successfully picked up an item you found
a. RESPONSE: I’ll take that
H. SITUATION: You get hit or suffers from a wound
a. RESPONSE: This isn’t enough to stop me
I. SITUATION: You get hit or suffers from a wound, different variation than above
a. RESPONSE: Those bastards will pay
J. SITUATION: When spotting an object or finding something by opening a container
a. RESPONSE: What do we have here?
K. SITUATION: What you say fire after you are on an adrenaline rush and happy
a. RESPONSE: HAHAHA (maniacal laughter)
L. SITUATION: What do you want? - A pissed off response when ordered to do someone you are mad at
a. RESPONSE: You want something from me? (are you sure? Tone)
M. SITUATION: Okay’ Pissed off (you're not happy with your commander or his order)
a. RESPONSE: How dare you order a lady like me around
N. SITUATION: Short upset acknowledgment to someone you are very angry at
a. RESPONSE: Bastard (to a man) Cunt (to a female)
O. SITUATION: You reach a door, and you tell people it is locked
a. RESPONSE: Tsk… Of course it’s locked…
P. SITUATION: You open a container or box and tell people it is empty.
a. RESPONSE: Nothin here
Q. SITUATION: ‘Ah-huh’ A quick, upbeat acknowledgment
a. RESPONSE: Sure’nuff
R. SITUATION: ‘Okay’ A quick, upbeat acknowledgment, maybe with a bit of surprise
a. RESPONSE: Huh? Ya sure, whatever.
