Project Overview

Voiceover artists wanted for dialogue tests on independent animated drama project. Project is based around realistic, adult situations in terms of dialogue and content with a focus on drama rather then comedic elements. Voiceover tests are required for staging various sequences in terms of animation work, and the overall pacing of the material.
These tests will deal with a few specific scenes in the narrative.
The main characters utilised in these tests are described below.
This is a paid series of tests, exact payment is up for negotiation however it starts at $20 per role for completed material.

    Hello all, Thank you for a huge turnout in the auditions. The roles have been cast. A character that is at turns supportive and headstrong, as well as being vindictive and cruel. A controller masquerading as a supportive influence - she is eager to draw others in, but if they reject her, she will tear them down and make them pay for it. Her way is unquestioned law, and her adept social skills allow her to quickly adapt to a victim role and paint her critics as the villains, which she will do without any moral objection, because she holds no one above herself and what she deems to be right.

Attached lines are mostly for you to demonstrate dramatic range and shouldn't be seen as a direct reflection of the character herself.

A soft spoken, naive young woman. Has little social experience due to an introverted lifestyle and is only just starting to be coaxed out of her shell. Her experiences lead her to run the gauntlet from peaceful and gentle conversation, to devastated and desperate anguish. With immense emotional range, she struggles to find her place in the world, and has to fight bitterly to claim a sense of identity and self worth in a world that seems to want to destroy her everywhere she turns.

A character that appears externally to be well balanced, socially skilled and amiable in personality. Under the surface lies the truth - a sociopath with a power complex that borders on obsessive. Lying is inherent in most of his dialogues and he will often push emotional buttons purely for his own enjoyment. He does a tremendous job at hiding this sinister side from his immediate relationships, but in the right circumstances, he is truly able to shine in his more malicious true nature.

  • You're smarter then that. You know what's going to happen if you do.

  • There's a lot to talk about. Why don't we start a dialogue, hm?

  • Beautiful people are just better at hiding their secrets. Throw some filters on and no one will ever know how ugly you really are.
