Hello, my name is DestI! I’m here to tell you about an upcoming project that we would like to start on February of this year. We will be doing a fan dub of the popular WEBTOON called I LOVE YOO. My friends and I fell in love with this novel and want to bring it to life with our Voices!
I LOVE YOO is a wonderful Web comic done by the brilliant Quimchee. The story revolves around Shin-Ae, plagued by pain and misfortune, she decides she wants nothing to do with people and Certainly wants nothing to do with romance. Content with her anti social tendencies and boring, loveless existence- she unexpectedly meets two strangers who changed her life as She knew it, forever.
Disclosure: This is a NON paid Voice acting gig, and we will not be making any profit from this experience. We are not sponsored by WEBTOON nor the Author. This is just for fun and to deepen your experience as a voice Actor/Actress.
Requirements:
Voice Actor/Actresses: Please have a good quality mic, and a good acting space to avoid any loud background noises. But for the audition, we will be accepting Raw recordings! Please be active and be prepared for long term (a year or two.)
Video Editor/Audio Engineer: Please communicate With us and also be active. We are aware that life comes in and we aren’t asking you to be active all the time but as not as we can get a response from you within the day that would be ideal.

Kousuke, at first, seems like a cold and snobbish person but he had a soft side to him when people get to know him. He can be overprotective, especially towards his younger brother Yeong-Gi. However, he can also be condescending and blunt to people he sees as inferior to him, as demonstrated by his first few interactions with the female lead Shin-Ae calling her names and insulting her because of her lack of wealth.
(Serious, Blunt, snobbish Tone.) Give it back? With that sad, low quality outfit of yours? Don’t make me laugh. Judging by the amount of food on the floor, you’ll be fine without it, Fatass. (Switch to a muttering annoyed tone.) How did you even get invited to this party? Have the standards dropped that low? You’re not even wearing a mask.
(Surprised, disgusted, flabbergasted .) GEEZ, Have you gone to see a doctor or dentist? That’s a terrible underbite you have there! And oh god! That voice too.. you should get some surgery to fix all that.
(Strained, cold, brotherly tone.) No. He’d be here right now if he did, you know that. And don’t worry, I made sure this visit was not on record. The overnight staff agreed to keep their mouths shut as well. They gave me their word. (Switch to a sharp underlying ton.) But, we need to leave as soon as possible- This room is supposed to be Vacant. You know how busy it gets during the day shift so Hurry up.
Rika is a kind-hearted and benevolent girl who is the most sensible one out of her close group of friends. In general, Rika is a sweet, gentle-hearted person but she can sometimes act unusually jealous when it comes to the things she adores (such as Mr. Huge Jackedman's biceps, which she wrote a whole blog about). Rika is smart but tends to hide it.
Rika is very understanding, knowing her faults and mistakes should not be a burden for others. She tends to blabber to the point where it may be unnecessary and then regret it afterward. Rika is also quite an observant girl and because of her observations, Rika was able to identify what Maya was doing and so she warned Maya about her actions, stating that it may affect her and Shin-Ae's friendship.
(Concerned tone) Shin-ae, I don’t think that’s going to work. First of all, they deal with plenty of creeps.
I was saying maybe when you find a guy, he’ll provide for you so you won’t have to worry about a thing.
Come on Shin-ae. There are plenty of other ways to make a living. (Giving a suggestion to shin-ae) (slightly annoyed)You know what? Why don’t you end that no dating attitude of yours.
Maya is friendly and good-natured which leads to her being a great friend. She acts responsibly since she works in a bakery, and she's extremely generous and kind. Maya has a sneaky side to her, just like her brother, but these situations usually lead to Maya getting nervous. She loves to have fun and unlike Shin-Ae, Maya cannot stand being bored and seeks more of an adventurous life.
Even though Maya doesn't like violence, she can act hostile and intemperate when pushed to her limits. She also makes rash decisions which lead to Rika warning her about her actions. Maya freaks out easily and when she does, she often jumps to conclusions.
We’re heading back to class then...We’ll meet ya outside your classroom after school.
(Sarcastic)By the way, if the college thing doesn;t work out…(teasing and suggesting to shin-ae) you can always become a housewife.
(Concerned Yelling)The poor guy! You could have at least done it nicely!
Dieter was born in the US and spent most of his childhood in Germany but he also stayed in the US. Dieter moved to Asia with his family because of his father's job as an officer for the US Navy. Growing up, he never really had a permanent home so he often struggles to properly explain where he comes from.
His father was an immigrant and joined the US Navy after he was naturalized and his mother was a German tourist visiting the US. His parents met during his mother's visit, and they decided to keep in touch and visit each other a few times a year. Eventually, they got married and Leah was born, and then, Dieter.
Dieter met Yeong-Gi and Soushi the summer before their first year in high school.
Dieter is a judoka, or someone who practices judo, a Japanese form of wrestling. Dieter was invited to the school Tae Kwon Do team by Min-Hyuk Park, the captain of the team at the time, but Dieter declined due to the two sports being vastly different.
Throughout his friendship with Min-Hyuk, he managed to ask him about Shin-Ae many times, before Min-Hyuk left for Chicago.
Dieter had a crush on Shin-Ae for quite a while before he decided to confess to her.
(Worried soft tone) Is that really true? Don’t say that. That’s mean…
(Soft tone)i was really comfortable during the math portion. I don’t think I would have felt that confident in my answers had it not been our tutoring sessions.
(concerned) I hope we weren’t too much of a burden to you. You look like you could use a break. Let me treat you.
Min-Hyuk is known as an easy-going person who has a bubbly and humorous personality as he often jokes around with Shin-Ae. He can be sarcastic at times as shown in Episode 14 where he jokes about how no one would like to be friends with Shin-Ae. Min-Hyuk likes to use modern slang.
Min-Hyuk can also be quite sneaky and cunning as he and his sister organize a meet-up between Shin-Ae and Kousuke Hirahara. He is also a caring friend to Shin-Ae, often showing a large amount of concern for her and her well-being. After hearing about Yeong-Gi’s carefully planned prank on Rika and Maya and his insistence on becoming Shin-Ae’s friend, he becomes worried after helping to set Shin-Ae up on a blind date with Yeong-Gi and Kousuke. Having second thoughts about his idea, he requests that Maya and Rika monitor the date in the chance that anything went wrong, especially wary about Yeong-Gi. After the intruder incident, he offered to attempt to schedule an earlier flight home after hearing about Shin-Ae’s troubles, despite not yet completing his school semester. Before leaving for Chicago a few months before the story begins, he also expressed concern for Shin-Ae’s well-being, enlisting his sister and Rika to help and support her in his absence.
(Upbeat Tone) Texting your best bud is different from seeing them..so what’s up with the video call?

Megan is an outgoing woman who has an outwardly enthusiastic and bubbly nature. She is quite determined at times, especially when it comes to capturing the attention of Kousuke, and is quick to jump to conclusions. She cares a lot about her appearance and was traumatized when Kousuke sprayed makeup remover in her face.
Megan acts very eager, specifically with her open affection and desire for Kousuke. She is shown to to insult girls to their face and behind their backs, if she thinks they are a rival for Kousuke's affections.
(Happy tone)Alyssa!!! How’s everything? Are you excited for tomorrow?? Because I am!! Do you want me to come over with some food? I know you’re on a diet for the shoot but we should celebrate! It’s your debut afterall!
(Flirtatious, Frivolous Tone) Kousuke~ I finally found you!! Why’d you leave me on my own at the party! That was so mean!
(pressing, annoyed, Judgey tone) Fine! What do you do, huh? What kind of job do you have??? Any family assets? What are your credentials? SPILL IT GIRL! Kousuke’s Make-up remover spray spares no one!
Alyssa Cho was at first a shy and timid little girl that was home-schooled for most of her childhood. Eventually, she asked her parents to allow her to attend public school. On her first day she was so nervous she began talking to herself but was overheard by Shin-Ae, a fellow new student who did not judge her. The two became friends instantly. However, during her time as a middle school student, something bad happened between her and Shin-Ae that has yet to be revealed.
At some point, Alyssa became a celebrity and began a relationship with Yeong-Gi.
Alyssa made her first official appearance in Episode 55 arriving at the Kim Black and White formal with her sister Megan where she met Yeong-Gi waiting for her.
I also texted mrs. Hirahara just now. She knows I’ll be getting there a little later.
(Happy)It’s not bad at all.. It helps that he’s so understanding. It would have been much harder if he wasn’t.
(cheerful) And oh my god! When Meg said you got tall ,she wasn’t kidding! It’s been way too long! You look so different!
Sim Han is a loving father to his daughter Shin-Ae. Since his wife left him, he tried to become responsible for Shin-Ae's life and study expenses by burying himself in work, usually coming home late.
He had a tendency to binge-drink whenever faced with adversity, most recently during his and Shin-Ae's current financial crisis.
(Worried) Do you think you’ll be okay by yourself here? I won’t be gone for too long…
(Happy) Tell you what, I’ll pick up some pizza on the way back home! Lots of meat toppings!
(Walking out of the house) I’m gonna get going! Keep the door locked and don’t answer for anyone without calling me first, okay? Stay strong!
Randulph does not show much emotion and often maintains a stoic composure. As the chairman of the Hirahara Corporation, he carries himself with class and sophistication. (A point he has impressed on Kousuke and Yeong-Gi several times) As befitting a man of his status, he is seen to be even-tempered as even when talked down to by Shin-Ae rather abrasively, he barely reacted. A clear contrast in his treatment towards his sons may be drawn: while critical with great expectations, he is noticeably more mellow towards Kousuke as opposed to Nol, who is often the outlet of his chagrin as he fails to measure up to his expectations. The reason for this contrast is yet to be revealed. He also gives criticism and praise when due, as seen when he chided Kousuke (despite him being the "favored son") for his ungentlemanly etiquette when Shin-Ae and he fell on the floor without him helping her up.
There are many aspects to his personality that remain shrouded. (Much like the rest of his family)
(frustrated, cold, condescending) Who gave you the freedom to roam about this party? I specifically told you to come early and wait for the rest of us outside.
(Frustrated, bewildere, dissatisfaction.)I come back from my trip to news that you quit work because of a friend as well? It’s just one disappointment followed by another with you.
(Disappointed, blunt.) What kind of gentleman arrives at a event without his date. Go wait for her outside the venue.
