Blood Brothers (Halo Reach Machinima)
Project Overview
Blood Brothers is a Halo Reach Machinima set in the Halo Universe. It centers around two sangheili brothers in the covenant, Grus and Jeso Zovamai. The Zovamai brothers were abandoned as children when their father was executed for heresy. They were eventually taken in by the Zealot, Casan Kragum. Since then, they both became Elite warriors and loyal soldiers to the covenant. However, all of that is shattered when they learn their mentor and step father has defected to the humans of the UNSC. The brothers are confused, wondering why their mentor would become a heretic. Grus is bent on stopping his mentor while Jeso contemplates whether he should join his mentor. To make matters worse, they are assigned to personally find and execute Casan. Now the brothers have to make a decision, stay loyal to the covenant or become heretics with their mentor.
Blood Brothers will be 20-30 minutes long and is rated to be PG-13. I am looking for voice actors above the age of 18, have good microphones and can communicate over discord. As this project features mostly sangheili characters, you'll have to be able to sound like Elites from the Halo series. If you have questions about the roles or any lines, don't be afraid to ask. NOTE: All audition lines are not in the short film. They are made to showcase what I want from each character.

The older of the Zovamai brothers, Grus is a loyal covenant soldier and acts in both faith in his leaders and honor to his mentor. As a child, he was the one to protect his younger brother when his father was killed for heresy. He was taken in by Casan 'Kragum and became his apprentice. He holds great respect for his mentor and family love for his brother. When he learns that his mentor has defected to the humans, it completely ruins him. He is conflicted on killing his old guardian, and becomes more heartbroken when his brother sides with his mentor. He is caught between a hard decision, choose his loyalty to the covenant or help those he considers close family.
Grus acts strong and confident in battle and is quick to put down those who oppose him. But when around his brother or mentor, his demeanor is soften and talks in a more caring and curious attitude.
Do you really think I'm afraid of a weakling like you? Let me make this clear. You mean nothing to me.
Don't worry Jeso. No matter what happens, I'll always be there for my little brother.
I don't understand Mentor? Why did you betray the covenant?

Juso is the younger of the Zovamai brother, always beaning sheltered by his older brother. When growing up, Juso relied on his brother to take care of him, acting very selfish when taking in by Casan 'Kragum . But over time, Juso learned to get over himself and become stronger when he relized his attitude distanced himself from his family. He may not have the same strength of his brother but he has a very inteliigent mind. He has a very close relationship with his mentor, as he helped him become a better person. He believs the words of his mentor and eventually joins him in betraying the covenant.
Juso speaks with a softer tone than his brother. He is cautious, polite, self reflective and seeks to better himself. He tends to get emotional when he feels like he is uncapable to do tasks or is too weak.
You don't need to baby me all the time Grus. I can take care of myself.
I've been thinking, maybe our mentor was right about leaving the covenant.

Casan is a Sangheili Zealot, an Elite solider who takes on high risk missions and artifact retrieval. Casan found the Zovami brothers when they were trying to break into his home on sangheilios. Impressed that they were able to break into his fortified house while showing no signs of fear, he instead took them both as his apprentices and trained them to become both better warriors and better individuals. He acts as both their teacher and father, and lovelying treats them like sons. Casan was never able to have children, due to fertility reasons. He has always longed for something more than fighting, and the brothers were the opportunity he sought. But now, he longs more than just war. He questions whether the war they fight with humans is just and whether the prophets word holds any value. He makes a discovery and finds a forerunner monitor that tells him the truth behind the forerunners and shatters his perception of the great journey. He makes contact with a human ODST and flees to a UNSC base.
Casan in a deep calimng tone. He is always calm and confident, acting like the word of wisdom and cares deeply for his step sons.
Give you brother some time Grus. He is still figuring out his own path in life.
I don't expect you to forgive my actions. But know I still love the both of you as my sons.
Hold your arms, human. I did not come here to fight.

Kato is a Sangehili Zealot and old partners with Casan. He now acts alone in his missions. Kato is knwon to be a very deadly warrior and has gained a reputation for his ruthlessness with the humans. He only acts respectful to Casan, as he was the only one to match his strength. When he learns of Casan heresy, he is sadden and furious. He wants to hunt Casan down and punish him for betraying his oath to the covenant and his respect.
Kato is very strong willed and ruthless. He is cold and stern but can burst out in complete anger if something sets him off.
You humans are not even worth my time. Die like the rest of your ape kind.
If you fail this mission Grus, you'll have to answer to my blade.
Don't speak to me like you're my friend, traitor. I'll rip out that tongue for what you did to me!

Suka is a Sangheili commander and leads a covenant corvette. He leads both the Zovamai brothers and oversees their mission to kill Casan. He acts calm and collective and speaks in an authortaitve tone.

He has committed greavious acts against our coveanant. When you find Casan, you are to kill him.

Micheal is an ODST (Orbital Drop Shock Trooper) that has seen alot of combat in his days. He has been in many wars and lost many people he cared for. All he wants is to see the war end and finally have peace in his life. He mets with Casan with hostility at first. But once he laerns about the monitor, he agrees to help the Elite escape. He hopes that whatever information Casan has, can help prevent anymore bloodshed.
Micheal is rather jaded and acts rather impulsivley. He is cautious and speaks in an old rapsy tone.
