Housepets! Comic Voiceover
Project Overview
For those of you who read the webcomic "Housepets!" by Rick Griffin, now you can help bring it to life in this voiceover project! In this casting call, we will be looking for voices for all characters that show up throughout the first 10 chapters (from "Imaginate!" to "The Grove"). The characters as shown are listed in the order of their appearance.
It is recommended that you have a decent microphone, as that helps increase your chances of being cast if your voice matches what I'm looking for.
Also, if you're interested in joining the Discord server, go to https://discord.gg/eDdPVbE and hop on in, whether you're a cast member, or just someone who wants to follow us in our progress!

Peanut Butter Sandwich, or Peanut, is the main character throughout a good portion of the comic, and appears quite often in the series. I want him to have a medium-high voice, if you know what I mean. For those who have already sent in auditions, feel free to redo them if you wish!
If you can also pull off a good "Dad Sandwich," who is basically one of their owners, that would be great. If not, that's fine, he's purely an extra at this point.

I'm starting to regret this less and less.

(Sleepily) GUH-- Grape? What was all that racket?
The salesman was either very good, or very bad at his job.
Grape Jelly Sandwich, or Grape, is a main character of a good portion of the comic, and appears quite often in the series. I want her to have a tomboyish tone to her voice since she generally doesn't have much of a feminine look to her.
If you can also pull off a good "Mom Sandwich," who is basically one of their owners, that would be great. If not, that's fine, she's purely an extra at this point.

(In a monotone, alien-like tone) WE ARE THE MASHED POTATO MEN FROM MARS, AND WE ARE HERE TO CONQUER!

Bino is a supporting character for the beginning of the comic, but gains more relevance in future arcs. For him, I want your interpretation of how he should sound.
Oh, woe is me! Woe is me! Woe, woe, woe, woe, woe . . .
It is so terrible, this fate which has befallen me! How horrible, how dreadful, how ghastly!

AHA! Now that you know of the game, you can never un-know it, for to know of the game is to play the game, and to think of the game is to lose the game! There is never any recourse, never any escape! It will haunt you forever! FOREVER, DO YOU HEAR ME? AHAHAHAHAHA!
Sorry Peanut, we're going to have to revoke your Good Ol' Dogs' Club membership.
Sorry, Peanut, it's in our bylaws: No cat lovers. Also, it's really weird.
Rex is a supporting character throughout the comic. If you're cast, but worried you won't be needed often, you may be able to send in lines for extras, which will be useful in the long run. For his voice, perhaps make him sound all tough and intimidating, but also be able to pull off a more gentle version for later on.
You must also be able to sing in character.

Joey is a supporting character, and will gain a bit more relevance later on in future arcs. Make him sound innocent. Other than that, give me your interpretation of him.

Yeah, roleplaying! . . . speaking of, I have something to show you.
The raccoons are supporting characters who appear throughout the comic, but don't adopt their names, Falstaff and Truck, until later. I imagine them having Brooklyn accents, but this may be changed as their design changes later on, as these could possibly be two different raccoons.
Waiting for trash day is too much trouble too, I take it?

Don't make any sudden moves! W- We're just here for your trash. Alright? My buddy here is going to take the bag out of the bin, and we're going to back out the pet door slowly... seriously, don't make this any harder than- ACK!
Tiger is a supporting character who appears from time to time. Give me your interpretation of his voice.
You know it! Just... being catlike! I guess.
Ha! I never get tired of how you and the other dogs point out that my name is, in fact, that of a large cat, and that I hang out with a cat!
*laughing ensues*

Marvin is a supporting character who lives with Tiger. He doesn't have very many appearances until later in the comic. Give your interpretation of him.

Max is a supporting character who has a "love interest" in Grape. He doesn't have very many appearances until later in the comic. Give your interpretation of him.

Fido is a supporting character who most everyone has some sort of interest in. He doesn't have very many appearances until later in the comic. Give your interpretation of him.
You don't have to be cast as his father to get the role as Fido, but it would be great if you could do both, as the father is just an extra at this point.
*Fido.*
I could use the rest. Hunting squeaky toys and attacking people with thick clothing is tiring work.

Bino is the one Jake owns, right? Is there a problem between you and him?
I don't know, he was more than willing to talk about how Bino cries during movies.
I figured as much, but I didn't want to say anything pre-emptively.
Daisy is a supporting character who almost never says anything other than "Hi I'm Daisy!" Her appearances are a bit scattered all over the place. If you know who Princess Daisy is from the Super Mario Bros. franchise, and you know what she sounds like, then you'll know what I want you to try to aim for here. Or if that's not your cup of tea, you can always try your own take, which is perfectly fine.

I spoke with her a few weeks ago, she was ruminating on the expectation of obeisance from all dogs, especially by her owner, and was having trouble reconciling the systemic reinforcement of her projected behavior.

(worried or nervous) Sometimes it's easier to put on a happy face, you know? But it seemed like when Sasha came back from obedience training, she wasn't even doing that well.
If she ran away, she has a small hideout in the woods, though only a couple of dogs know where it is . . .
This otter in particular comes to the zoo from another country, and doesn't speak English. That said, I'm not sure what she says here (http://www.housepetscomic.com/comic/2008/10/17/you-mean-she-otter-be/), but if you know what language it is, and are able to speak it, by all means, please do.

These kangaroos are two of many animals Grape and Peanut come across in "The Zoo" chapter. I want some Australian accents for them.
