Hooky Fandub is as the name suggests a Fandub for the Webtoon: Hooky by Míriam Bonastre Tur. The series follows two young twin witches from a powerful family, Dani and Dorian Wytte. After missing the bus to magic school, they eventually get wrapped up in a prophesied war between witches and humans.
Rules & GuidelinesYou must be 18+. I do not feel comfortable working with anyone under 18, please understand.
You may audition for as many roles as you would like but please note that actors will only be given 1 main role, 1 minor role, and extras. (This can be subject to change due to circumstances)
No headset, phone, or low quality mics will be accepted. Your microphone doesn’t need to be an XLR or anything fancy! As long as you sound clear and background noise is minimal we can work with it!
Limit your background noise as much as you can! If you are able please remove background noise using audacity, or whatever recording software you are using.
Try to do 2-3 takes for a line using different inflections, emotions, etc. Really showcase your acting skills here!
I am mainly looking for characters from chapters 1-21! Projects like this can take up to months and I don’t want voice actors waiting for an undefined amount of time before their character in chapter 99 shows up. Additional casting for characters will happen as we get closer to the chapters.
Have fun with your audition! Give me your take on what the character sounds like! There is no “canon” voice for any of the cast so have fun and good luck!
Please only audition if you can commit to the project. Deadlines will be strictly enforced amongst all members.
When submitting your audition, please leave your discord user in the textbox so I can contact you. On this note discord is mandatory for this project, all communication will be done there, this is not negotiable. Also if you are okay with being cast as extras/background characters you can also include that in your audition as well!
I highly recommend you read the webtoon before auditioning (at least episodes 1-21) so you can get a better sense of the cast and story. I have also left the respective episodes the lines are in for your reference.

Also bad news: I was on vacation recently and I have gotten sick so unfortunately going through callbacks will take some time as I will also have to catch up on my work duties so casting will not be finalized until April 20th so thank you for understanding!
At this time I am not looking for any extra voices as there have been enough people who have expressed desire in voicing extras, but please keep an eye out in the future if I do decide to reopen auditions for future roles in the webtoon.

[MAIN ROLE] The female protagonist of the series. A young witch that's more cheerful, bubbly, and outgoing compared to her twin brother; Dorian. Dani is optimistic and more socially secure than her brother. She is very confident and considers those around her to be her friends. Dani is normally happy and kind for she sees the bright side of everything and everyone. Despite this certainty, Dani is deeply worried by the lack of control and skill she has in her magic compared to Dorian.
[Episode 7] Dorian said he’s not mad at me. But I’m sure he is. He has the right to be mad. After all, I’m a shame for the Wytte’s Family. I wonder why I’m not able to do any proper spells… I’m a mess…
[Episode 10] Wait! Princess! Listen to me! Didn’t you say that you wanted to save your prince whichever way? Then, don't be silly and don’t give up at the first try! The master said the truth! We are against the evil witches! Yes, we’re witches but we don’t hurt anyone. It’s you who attacked us without thinking twice!
[Episode 15] Thats what worries you the most? The money? Aren’t you ashamed? Of being cursed, for example. I have no idea how to get you back to your original size. Even though, to be honest, I’m not gonna try to find a solution either. Not until you apologize to Dorian.
[MAIN ROLE] A young witch and heir to the Wytte family, he is more bookish, studious, and socially awkward than his twin sister Dani is, though he's better at controlling his magic. Dorian is very introverted; preferring to read and practice magic than talk to others. He is socially awkward but tries not to let that get in his way. Eventually, he makes friends with everyone (despite doing it much slower than Dani had). Dorian is curious, intelligent, and a very powerful witch.
[Episode 3] Are you sure this is safe? Won’t the cage fall down? But Dani… Isn’t it swinging too much? That’s not normal… Aaah! Be careful, turn! You’re gonna crash against that bird!
[Episode 13] There was a misunderstanding, princess… I’m not a wicked wizard… I reacted like that to defend myself, that’s all. I propose a truce. From now on we’re gonna be study partners, so we better treat each other on equal terms. No princess, no frog kids…
[Episode 58] I thought…I thought you were angry because of what I told you yesterday. I was sure you would use the party as an excuse to go back to the palace. I don’t know why…I was so scared…but now you’re smiling as you always do. Ah…I feel so relieved
[MAIN ROLE] William is shown to be quite careless and jocular throughout the series, though Damien states he likes to play dumb. In fact, under his joyous attitude, he's shown to be highly observant and deeply secretive. As the future heir of his own kingdom as well as Monica's (through their engagement), he was trained to reign from a young age. For this reason, he puts his royal duties over everything, even his own wishes. He knows he is not as strong as his friends, but he loathes feeling useless. For that reason he often makes reckless and bold decisions, putting himself in danger, especially when the people he cares the most are in trouble.
[Episode 4] You.. You and your sister don’t seem like them! Listen. Don’t trust anyone. They’re plotting something terrible. This is just the first step. They’re plotting
[Episode 39] What are you arguing about? There’s no time to lose! We’ve got to find a broom and go back to get the other ones! Let’s go!
[Episode 42] Let me go! I must be able to dominate a dragon! That’s what princes do! Heroic stuff! If we can’t find another broom, we are gonna have to look for another way to rescue the other princes!
[MAIN ROLE] Nico is a positive person, despite his inner turmoil with himself. He typically puts others in front of himself and keeps his problems inside, believing to be a burden to those around him if he were to speak about it. He tries to be a logical person, however, his emotions seem to affect his thinking and decisions more than he'd like.
[Episode 5] Don’t worry guys! I know everything about this wizardry stuff! I was the master’s assistant once, but I left the weirdo. Now don’t you worry, You are as much as weirdos as he is, you’ll get along…
[Episode 13] Don’t insist, dude. You’re a freak. And I would be so ashamed to take you with my friends. So outside of this house we’re gonna pretend we don’t know each other. Do you get it? See you, loser!
[Episode 18] What a disaster! Aghhh, they’re taking her! What can I do? They’re too fast… and too tall.. I don’t want to leave her alone… Can’t I do anything?! Damn it! Where’s that freak?
[MAIN ROLE] Mark is a generally nice person, though Nico described him as a bully. However, it was soon evident that this was simply out of jealousy and bitterness, though Mark has shown violent tendencies. Mark is admired by both Nico and Dani, along with his schoolmates. He is dependable and often helps his friends. He is, however, not very eloquent or poised and is a terrible dancer. He is usually tolerant but is not a doormat to those that anger him. If he is mad at them, he’ll show it normally.
[Episode 21] What are you doing? Trying to kill little girls?! You’re gonna pay for that! Fucking idiot.
[Episode 25] It’s obvious because I pay attention! But it’s not like you have a wart on your nose or something like that! Besides, you can be calm here. In this town we don’t kill anyone because of witch-craft, we’re not that crazy. You can trust me, even if you don’t believe it.
[Episode 51] I’m bad at hugging, but I'm even worse with words. I hoped the combo would count for something. There's nothing else I can do if I want to comfort you. But remember, even if everything seems fucked up, you’ve got friends and you’ve got your brother. It may look like the whole situation with your parents and the odd war issue is complicated, but we are going to fix it, all together!
[MAIN ROLE] She is an adventurous person and does anything to save her loved ones. She is confident and outgoing. She is also a bookworm and a hopeless romantic, even after reading various romance novels all day.
[Episode 10] I’m gonna save him. I’m his fiancee! Enough of hiding like a helpless maiden! I’m a strong and capable woman! My duty is to save Will and bring him home, safe and sound! It’s gonna be dangerous and bloody and many comrades are gonna die. But in the end, When I rescue him, me and my beloved Will… Are finally gonna get married!
[Episode 13] Pretending? What do you mean? Of course I’ll make it! Why not? Because I’m a girl? That’s Princess Monica for you! Don’t you dare talk to me ever again, frog kid!
[Episode 15] Heyyy, guys, guys, don’t you fight, I've had a wonderful idea! Look at this! It’s an exact copy of my castle! And look, this is my room! Isn’t it cute?! You can sleep here, Nico! You don’t need to thank me.
[MAIN ROLE] Damien is highly secretive, it seems, and his over-conscious demeanor can't go unnoticed. Damien can be nerved quite easily, as he is seen to be blushing or sweating due to small factors. He's aloof, however, and holds a dark personality that can only seemingly be lifted by William.
[Episode 28] If you allow me, my majesty…It’s dangerous. What they say is true, the woods is the territory of witches now. And you’re their principal target. Going there with no protection would be a suicide.
[Episode 39] What the hell is wrong with you? Are you stupid or what?! We could have killed ourselves! And the broom is broken! You broke it! Now how are we gonna leave here?
[Episode 62] I hope you’ll excuse what I'm about to say, princess. But you’re nothing more than a spoiled brat. You think this is all a game. You behave like an immature child and you don’t take any of this seriously. You think I haven’t seen you earlier? Dancing and giggling with that ginger boyfriend of yours. You don’t deserve that! Not now that Will is…! Not now that Will could be dead.

[SUPPORT RECURRING ROLE] Hilde is a witch and the aunt of Damien, Dani and Dorian to whom she was also the mentor for a short time. Aunt Hilde bears a resemblance to the Evil Queen in the tale of Snow White, both in appearance and personality. She is crude, wants to be on top of her brother and does not like humans. It seems though that she does have a slightly caring side.
[Episode 2] It makes sense! Dorian, Daniela! Don’t you worry your lovely aunt will teach you the art of black magic.I have the perfect chore for you! You’ll start working tomorrow morning!
[Episode 47] Yes, well…that is where I was going. There are people that claim they've seen a little boy and a little girl riding on a dragon. The third dragon that’s missing. And they fit perfectly in the description. Maybe in the end, the old woman was right, and the kings are…
[SUPPORT RECURRING ROLE] Pendragon is introduced as a seemingly kind and respectable wizard, whose main goal is to improve the image of witches in the eye of the kingdom. He is well liked by the townsfolk, who openly know he is a witch and are not bothered by this fact. He takes in Dorian and Dani as his apprentices when he first meets them, knowing the potential they have, and wish to make them good witches. He is serious and straightforward when teaching them, and later Monica and Nico, not wanting to waste time getting side tracked. However he seems to go easy on them, and lets them stray away from their lessons on occasion.
[Episode 5] That’s why I, The Master Pendragon… Versed in body and soul to defend the honor of witches and wizards and the life of the innocent. I take you two as my apprentices! Dani, Dorian… Your training starts today!
[Episode 10] I see…I see a very high tower where you’re gonna be locked, in the dark…Full moon nights, white roses, ashes, and fire. But in opposite order. The ashes first. Then the fire. Much, much fire…And one more thing. About that prince of yours. The only way to find him…is staying here. With us.
[Episode 21] I told you before. I’m not sure we’re doing the right thing.You’ll find out soon… when the right moment arrives. And Nico, just one last thing… don’t get too attached to them.
[SUPPORT RECURRING ROLE] Angela is typically characterized as being a sweet, caring individual to those close to her. She is very loving and affectionate towards her family. When Damien accidentally turned a village child into a toad, she was not upset with him, and rather comforted him when he was scared of what would happen. When villagers came to attack her family, she stood in the way to protect them, and sacrificed to be burned before her son would. Despite this, it seems much of her gentleness left her after her attempted burning. She wants revenge so badly, and is ruthless to the point of harming anyone who stands her way, even if they are friends of her children. She is renown in both the witch and human communities for her wrath, and all fear her because of it.
[Episode 19] Come on, dad. What are these straight faces? Nothing has happened, don’t scare the kids! You’re not going out of the house again, right? Promise?”
[Episode 19] Don’t worry about it anymore, kids. Dad already has plans for you when you grow up. He’ll fix the problem. Hmm, well… Revenge.
[SUPPORT RECURRING ROLE] Hans was once understanding of humans earlier on, trying to deal with the bigotry shown to the witches. This changed and he later showed a hatred of humans, trying to enact revenge against them for harming his wife, due to Angela persuading him. He was angered by his rebellious children, though he had been pleased with the fact that one of his children is heir to be the King of Witches.
[Episode 19] Don’t be stubborn, Dani! If I say “No”, it means “No”! Don’t you see it’s dangerous? You can’t play with other kids. You’re different. If they notice that you’re witches, we’ll be in trouble. You won’t get out of this house until you’re old enough to hide your power.
[Episode 67] Damien, Son! I found you, at last! We came here for you! You know that, right?! You know you’re the chosen king?! It’s you, Damien! The most powerful king! The dark king, the king of wizards!

[SUPPORT RECURRING ROLE] A stern, somewhat grumpy character. At first, he is cordial with Dani and Dorian after they bring him the last prince he was searching for. However, once Dorian is caught stealing a dragon’s egg, he immediately brands them as traitors, and vows to capture and punish them. He is not concerned with potentially hurting them, and even though they do not escape with the egg, he still is determined to capture them for even attempting to ruin their plans. He is one of the first antagonistic characters in the series.
[Episode 4] Don't feel pity. They are our enemies. Enemies of wizards and witches.
[Episode 4] Betrayers...So the Wytee have betrayed us. Knock them down!
[Episode 36] If you want to put yourself against half of our community, it's up to you...The new king has not been chosen yet. It could be anyone, even myself. Ah, and you forgot your hat.
A sweet girl, not putting up much of a fight for anything. She goes along with what is said and is seen to be an opposite of Ivy, who is much more open about her feelings. Anne is quite emotional, and is affected by the emotions of those around her.

Pessimistic and is reluctant to join the other characters on their adventures, preferring instead to stay indoors with Amir. She is also depicted as rather lazy and rude, unlike her foil, Anne.
