Heart Race (Student Thesis Film)
Project Overview
A straight-laced delivery driver finds himself in a high-speed chase when an escaped forest nymph steals his hoverbike, forcing him to choose between the job he loves and what he knows in his heart is right.
With sci-fi landscapes, evil corporate drones, and bursts of humor around every turn, this short film will be uniquely stylized and full of empathy.
IMPORTANT:
Do note that ON-SITE recording is HEAVILY preferred! If you're willing to drive to Orange County, California, we'd love to comp your gas and lunch.

A squeaky, gangly, goody-two-shoes delivery driver with a job to do and a blind loyalty to his city. The role of Riker will require comedic sensibilities and simulated anxiety, all the while staying grounded and human enough not to distract from the story.

(After witnessing an evil drone explode) I'm so sorry! This is my first time being hijacked...
(Dorky shriek) My perfect record!
A cat-like nymph who uses hisses instead of words to express herself. She has one chance to escape her shackles or die trying. Like a feral animal, Astra is slow to trust but–upon gaining her respect–cares deeply. The role of Astra will be animalistic and require effective non-verbal communication of intense emotions.
