Project Overview
He's Harmless I Swear! is an English-Language webcomic by Basil the Bear.
The story stars a young woman named Thomasina "Tammy" Walker, who harbors a crush on her adorable next door neighbor, Tomoya Akamine. Her dream of being his girlfriend comes true when Tomoya's sweet but shy little dog, Nala, brings them together. However, Tomoya turns out to be hiding a past that he clearly doesn't want to share immediately. But as their relationship grows, Tammy can't help but notice a side to Tomoya that is a little...odd, to say the least. Tomoya also has (VERY OBSESSIVE) Ex abusive wife that is the protagonist right long with her brother and Tomoya’s father that he killed due to being abused right long with his younger sister. Tomoya has Split personality disorder, Meaning:
A disorder characterized by the presence of two or more distinct personality states.
Dissociative identity disorder, previously called multiple personality disorder, is usually a reaction to trauma as a way to help a person avoid bad memories. Later into the comic Tomoya finds out that his Abusive Ex wife has been hiding there 16 month old child from him But she finally chooses to tell him when her parents threaten to take away there baby “Dillan”.

Tomoya displays a sweet and shy demeanor, possibly stemming from the trauma inflicted by Olivia's abuse. However, there is a darker and more dangerous side to him that emerges when he, Tammy, or Nala are in peril. He goes as far as carrying a taser for protection. Tomoya's split personality disorder also contributes to some unusual traits, but Tammy's affection for him remains constant. Sam, on the other hand, represents a more intense and protective. He is fiercely possessive of his loved ones, so it is advised not to provoke him or threaten those close to him. Additionally, Sam shares a special bond with his dog, Nala.
Sam's voice would be more creepy anime guy sounding with a low tone, but can still talk like a modern person

Tammy, Tomoya's new neighbor, found him to be quite charming. As they spent more time together, bonding over their shared love for his dog Nala, their relationship grew stronger. Tammy, working in the therapy field, recognized that Tomoya had faced many challenges in his life. She was eager to support him in overcoming his past traumas and processing his emotions. Despite some peculiar moments from Tomoya, Tammy remained steadfast in her determination to understand him better. With an overprotective cop brother and affluent parents, Tammy remained grounded and compassionate, always ready to offer guidance and comfort. However, she also had her own share of heartbreaks and struggles from past decisions.

Olivia has been close friends with Sam and Tomoya since childhood, but eventually started a romantic relationship with Tomoya. She was well aware of the abuse taking place in Tomoya's household and tried to persuade him to leave. On the other hand, Sam bravely faced the danger and stayed by Tomoya's side for his sake. Dealing with her own verbally abusive father at home, Olivia made difficult decisions to try to salvage her relationship with Tomoya. Sam never truly approved of her, merely tolerated her presence. Unfortunately, Olivia's experiences with Tomoya and Sam's father led her down a dark path, causing her to become abusive towards Tomoya as well. The relationship eventually ended in divorce, leaving Olivia desperate to regain Tomoya's trust and affection.

She is the younger sister of Sam and Tomoya. During her infancy and childhood, she faced abuse and fear from her father, but her brothers did their best to protect her. Now that Sam and Tomoya have moved out and started their own lives, she is left living with her neglectful mother. Finding solace in playing the violin, she occasionally experiences bullying at school. She deeply misses her brothers, and eventually learns to trust Tammy.

Despite the trauma experienced by Tomoya and Sam, he remained loyal and protective towards them as their closest companion. Although he is married and resides far away, he is always ready to support them whenever necessary.

Father Chi is the main character in the series. Tomoya's father was extremely abusive towards him, his mother, and Soya. Tomoya's development of Sam can be attributed, in part, to Father Chi's abuse. Father Chi passed away, with Sam unintentionally causing his death.

Mama Chi keeps in contact with Tomoya but refuses to have an kind of communication with Sam.

Tomoya and Sam share a half-brother named Aki. Aki often witnessed Tomoya being treated differently, but their relationship was never very close. Things took a turn for the worse when Tomoya married Olivia and Aki discovered they were having an affair. This led to a major falling out between the siblings, and their relationship has never been repaired. Sam harbors a strong dislike for Aki and frequently instigates arguments to provoke him. Despite no longer being with Olivia, Aki chooses to live a solitary life nearby.
