Project Overview

Hello there! I am making a comic dub on the newly finished, Hazbin Hotel Prequal Comic.

If you are unaware of what this comic is then here is a quote from the Fandom Wiki of the show.

"Hazbin Hotel Chapter 1: Dirty Healings is an official comic that is acting as a prequel to events of the pilot episode of the show called Hazbin Hotel. The comic was partially released on October 27, 2019[1] before the remaining pages were released on July 7, 2020[2].

The comic is focused around Angel Dust and the specific events that led to him becoming the Happy Hotel's first patron."

I will not explain plot points so I don't clutter the description.

Requirements


  • A clear and well-treated microphone and room. This will help us with mixing and without a well-treated microphone, it won't sound as good as it would need to be.

  • Accuracy if it is needed. This is really important because these characters are from Hazbin Hotel and some of the characters in this have voices in the pilot episode.

  • Effects can be used. This is due to some of the characters that may need effects and we just can't do those effects needed we would need someone that can do the effects wanted.

  • You may do multiple takes. We are doing this to give the voice actor the opportunity to give us different takes.

  • Be dedicated to the project. We don't want someone who doesn't care about the project.

  • Expect to be criticized. We will see flaws with anything, if that is delivery or the voice itself, when in return fixing those said mistakes you are allowed to do whatever you want to the last recording.

  • Discord is not needed but is recommended. This will be where I will be talking to voice actors and other staff members.

  • Be 13 years or older, this project is not for a child under that age range due to all of the themes included.

  • Update Time (Might be Bad or Good Depending Who You Are)

    So, the specific cast I have for this project is being changed to a permanent cast that will stay on with my channel/another channel later on when funds can be met. This will mean that you might be in the roles you are in now, or you may not. I will be holding auditions but it will take time to set them up.

  • To Extras and Voice Actors Who Didn't Make It...

    Hello there! I am going to have this comic on a bit of a hold and push over to the second comic the Hazbin Crew cooked up. This will mean, I will be collecting a few of you to be in that comic dub. I will hold a casting call once everyone who can be taken is taken. This will not include Alastor, just the extras such as Vox or the girls with Rosie.

  • Updates on Casting

    So, I wanted to clarify something with all of you. If you don't have a well-treated microphone or well-treated room, from now on, it will not be allowed in. There are ways to get out of rejection. 1. Have a good microphone (it can be USB or XLR). 2. Have a good enough space to record in. I don't want a room where there is a lot of echo in the audio. A recommended place to go is a closet or make a pillow fort/ hide under some thick blankets. To any who have these problems, please fix these things. I want the dub to be easy to mix on my parts (some scenes can't have room echo). Thank you for reading!

  • "Angel. Angel Dust? The porn star? I'm kinda famous here bitch." *He should at first sound confused until the last sentence where he turns smug*

Due to his design making him look strong and threatening so try to sound intimidating with a deep and rough tone to it. I don't care what accent is given just as long as it sounds intimidating.

I don't want a growly voice but him to sound scary without screaming and stuff.

Do sort of something like this voice without all of the vocal processing.

  • "I can just tell a weak-willed stooge when I see one. Easy money. Val must not give much of a shit about this deal. So why not take it instead? Maybe if you behave then maybe, you can keep your head... in exchange." *He should sound threatening with a smug tone to the line*

  • "So, let me get this straight?" *He should sound serious; this rope of emotion should continue into the next line over the not to be read line*

    [PLEASE DO NOT READ THIS LINE] "Mmm?"

    "Val has a lanky filly running his deals for him now." *Pass over the direction from the previous readable line*

  • "And what language is that fa-" *He must sound smug*

Try to sound insect-pimp with a more synthesized type voice. He should not sound deep but should have a middle to high tone in his voice.

I can accept females if they sound the way I want the character to sound, again, you can use effects so that's why this is the case.

This is a good example of what I am looking for.

  • "So, tell me, Angel Cakes. What the fuck was that?" *He should sound at first kind of threatening and then quickly become more menacing*

  • "Now let's talk about how you're going to make up for the work you missed." *He should sound confused with a happy tone*

  • "I think! You can get out right here and make up for the time you missed filming." *He should sound excited with a tone of threatening in there*

I want the voice to sound like how the show is.

I would use this to get the perfect voice I am wanting.

  • "Aw! You can't tell me you enjoy standing on the side of the street waiting for someone to- um... ya know!" *She should sound happy of sorts of but slowly regretting what you are going to say*
