Project Overview
Hello everyone!
So I'm working on a few machinima shorts/character shorts in Halo 5. So far they all are connected, but there is chance of having completely different stories as one-offs or something along those lines. Sometimes they'll be machinima shorts, or even character shorts for a machinima short (or an independent thing)
I'll be updating this as more shorts come into play as more VA's will likely be needed.

Max is a mercenary, crowned as the best sniper in the galaxy. He is ruthless and always wanting money where he can get it.
He served in a specialized unit in the UNSC, serving alongside some of the most elite soldiers, augmented and unaugmented soldiers alike. He was dishonorably discharged because of his itchy trigger finger, often killing more than required.
In spite of being discharged, he kept his set of armor, a set that only four people in the galaxy have for their service in that unit. Shortly after, he became a mercenary, taking odd jobs.
(Annoyed) Quit stalling, Kiefer. I want my bloody money.
(Taunting) You could only do your best... clearly wasn't enough.
(Confident) I always see myself as a jack of all trades, master of few.

Kiefer is a mercenary who is trying to take down a large weapons development company, constantly trying to save his former friend who works as a bodyguard there.
He is sarcastic, and can get pretty serious at times, wanting to do what is right by him, which doesn't always apply to everyone else. Kiefer also has an AI called Zeta, who he uses to hack tech and get him access to anywhere he needs to go.
He used to serve in the UNSC as a scout, alongside his friend Desmond. After Desmond was taken by a person called Buck, Kiefer was sent to a different outpost and soon took down a large terrorist organization, getting the leader arrested. However that has had consequences on Kiefer and it forced him to go AWOL and on the run. He managed to find Buck and Desmond again and now wants to do what he considers right this time: Saving Desmond from Buck, and stopping Buck from unleashing his plan.
(Aggressive) This doesn't involve you either, you've been molded into this war by a deluded sociopath.
(Stern) Who the fuck are you supposed to be and why are you wearing the same armor as me?
(Nonchalant) Oh hey Desmond, long time no see.

Zeta is Kiefer's AI, having been found by Kiefer many years back. Zeta is often sarcastic, making jokes and trying to keep Kiefer in check so they both don't find themselves dead.

(Aggressive) Listen here, Buck. We don't have time for your tragic backstory.

Buck is a weapons developer and businessman. and serves as a main villain in this story. Buck is talkative, eccentric, sadistic, manipulative and bitter, living behind 2 masks. His public face is often displayed as kind and gentle, great with people and a beautiful passion to help humanity as best as he can. Underneath it all, he houses a very dark heart full of hatred, anguish and sadness that wants to destroy the UNSC for wrongs they have done to him in the past. He works with an ambitious scientist in order for him to gain tech to take them down from the inside while also supplying her with money and some tech he creates on the side.
He often is playful with his friends and enemies, treating life as a game and believing he can do anything with his standing. Desmond is his main henchman and the two seem to have a somewhat symbiotic relationship, despite their major personality differences and difference in their overall goals.
A great example of his personality is someone like Felix or Temple from Red vs. Blue
(Sarcastic) Oh, yeah, totally. Just throw rocks at my window, I'm sure I'll respond to that.
(Annoyed) Ugh, you want revenge, don't you? Well, that tends to work way fucking better if you leave a message, something to say: Hey! Fuck off! I'm trying to... I dunno... murder everyone... I'll let you use that as a voicemail by the by, complementary of me.
(Upbeat) I'm more than certain these mercenaries have families too... wanna take care of it, or should I? I haven't been... out that much recently. Business partners' families aren't as fun anyway, don't put up as much of a fight.

Hannah Rodriguez is a mechanical engineer who creates robots for Buck. She was brought up in the outskirts of Seel and after her whole town was wiped out by bandits, she was found by Buck.
Due to her intellect and interest in robots, she was hired on with Buck to create robots as a defense against bandits and law-breakers. However, due to Buck not wanting her to know what she actually is doing, she is kept underground to create robots without distraction or potential to be harmed. On top of this, Buck is her only news source, and so she has learned to trust him time and time again, especially when proven that he is delivering on his promise.
She views Buck very highly, thinking he is very passionate about saving humanity and shares the same views as her. This has caused her to overlook the strange and lethal orders for the robots, as well as trying to befriend the other employees despite their anti-social behavior.
(Upbeat) Sorry, had something going on! One of the Mark 4's blew up... like a lot. You sure that many rockets are safe?
(Nervous) I uhh, don't think it can be waterproof just yet... I, well... I need to do some more tests. B-but soon! I'm sure I can figure it out.
(Awkward) So uhhh... how's life, Desmond? Um, wh-what is it you do for Buck, again?

Punished Wings
Jack Willows is a galactic guide who is driven by himself to help people get to their destinations. He knows every location and way to get there, no matter what. He is like a cartographer with maps being made in his head.
He leads many to their location, whether they be good or bad people. He doesn't really associate himself with the people he leads, not feeling he has to do with their affairs.
(Curious) I wonder if you didn't expect a change in the route.
(Happy) Well I'm just your friendly guide!
(Informative) I'm Jack Willows, I guide people to their destination, no matter how long, how tiring. As long as we get there.

John Nathan

John Nathan is a forensics expert who works with Kiefer from time to time, often managing to find information and get Kiefer access into hard places. He feels like he is a strategist, believing that what he does is paving the way to something bigger, for Kiefer, himself and everyone he comes across.
When not working with Kiefer, he creates explosives and sets them across towns and cities, causing chaos, unknown to Kiefer or anyone that have come across him.
John Nathan is a man who has lost everything, and has used this to his advantage to create a new identity (Johnathan) and not be caught. Due to his immense success of creating a new path, he becomes a tad narcissistic, thinking he is the best and no one could ever do better than him, at times he proves this right.
Apart from forensics and bomb-making, John Nathan creates AI, however they appear to be somewhat flawed, whether they become rampant instantly or corrupt people and systems.
(Anxious) I feel that you don't understand the gravity of the situation here, they're going to kill us if we're found. You get that, right?
(Excited) Kiefer, look at me. I'm the best!
(Nonchalant) Oh, no hard feelings, no not at all! I'm just... going to have to cry in a corner and blow up your apartment. No biggie.

Mokiefer is a mercenary who befriends Kiefer, becoming something of a sidekick for him. She is very much a parallel to Kiefer, wearing similar armor, colors and weapons as well as having an AI.
Unknown to Kiefer, Mokiefer shares a history with him, and after so long has found him again. From all the information she could find on Kiefer, she decided to dress up similarly to him, causing some people to think Kiefer is causing chaotic acts when really it is Mokiefer. The name as well is taken from Kiefer, due to her apparent fascination with Kiefer.
She often can be impulsive, sarcastic and at times care-free, relying on Josh during fights and infiltrations. She tries to hide any negative cues from Kiefer upon running into him, playing a happy and friendly person while she continues her plans.
She is a highly skilled assassin, who rivals Kiefer's own talents, the two almost being mistaken for each other due to similarities.
(Friendly) Kiefer! Heard a lot of stories about you, let's hope at least half of them are true, huh.
(Stern) Josh, get me a rendezvous point. We're done here.
(Angry) Because I trusted you, and you just left me to die. You were my only friend.

Joshua is a corrupted AI created by Johnathan. He was intended to be a medical AI, equipped to aid mental health. However due to Johnathan's new plans, he was re-purposed to become a combat AI, this caused the AI to become corrupted and conflicted between two different functions, causing a state alike insanity.
He and Mokiefer managed to get in contact due to his ability to make AI, and so he gave Joshua to her, not realizing the insanity complex of the construct. Due to Joshua's lack of control over himself, he often presents ideas of violence to Mokiefer as a way to please himself. This has aided in Mokiefer's crime spree and the two have formed a bond, alike Kiefer and Zeta.
Considering his capabilities of medical and combat aid, he manages to make use of all functions, and has managed to form a 'calmer' version of himself when on public display.
*Laughs* Oh don't you see, you see? This world is our utopia! A world of joy, violence and action!
(Excited) I do hope we're going the hard way, I need some fun!
(Calm) Oh, no no no, Zeta. I am a friend, a dear friend! Mokiefer and I just want the same as you do: Justice.

Andrew is just a normal guy, who runs his own company called Andy and the Andrews, which host many different things. He puts on many different acts, as he is the only employee working there, often taking on different iterations of 'Andrew' and making a character out of it.
Some of his 'professions' involve: Elevator operator, sound designer, CEO, tv show host, prison guard, tour guide, and more to fit whatever needs.
He is very much a comical character who aids whoever needs help, often in his own strange ways.
(Excited) And we are live with Andy and the Andrews!

The Mercenary Leader takes off with the survivors to an outpost they have taken over, and hides there while they plan on how to get their money from Max.

Nina Cortez is Desmond's older sister. She grew up with him before leaving for the UNSC the moment she turned 18, changing her surname and then becoming a mechanic who specialized in vehicle maintenance. She was shortly recruited into the SKULLS program, alongside Max and was put through harsh training. While the SKULLS program didn't teach her more about vehicle maintenance, it taught her more about survival, and she uses this in putting together helpful gadgets and weapons.
Shortly after SKULLS was disbanded, she returned to normal UNSC life, working on vehicles and being sent down to Seel. From there, she manages to get in contact with Desmond again, the two updating each other as their different missions go on. Some conversations spark Nina to do investigating, which leads her into the conflicts brewing around Seel.
(Sarcastic) Did you try using butter instead of oil? Don't answer that.
(Bored) Uh huh. Installed a motion tracker while I was at it. Then installed a mirror, a few actually. You know, I don't think you like mirrors. Weird.
(Hostile) If I were to die, I would haunt whoever killed me, simple as that.
