An abridged series with a revamped plot, improved characters, and a healthy serving of madness.
Holes in the original plot aren't just exploited for humor, but are re-worked into a new form that actually make the plot believable yet insane (as the series should be - a fluster-cluck of bad decisions that nearly led to Earth getting nuked by a giant TV Dish).
