Green Arrow: Escape From Supermax Script Reading Podcast *NEW ROLES ADDED*
Project Overview
Hi everyone. I am the co-host of a podcast called Cancelled Movie Report. We take screenplays from movies that were in production or pre production - but were then cancelled - and then recreate them as a podcast.
We have previously done audio recreations for Justice League: Mortal and Gladiator 2.
This particular episode is all about a cancelled Green Arrow movie titled: Escape From Supermax! Yes, that's right... They almost made a Green Arrow movie in which he teams up with some C-List villains in a daring prison escape!
There are some key scenes we are hoping to recreate from the original script for the project and need some big characters brought to life!

Hartley Rathaway was once known as the Pied Piper. However he is now stuck inside Supermax. In the script he teams up with Green Arrow to escape. He is a kind, older gentleman. Aged somewhere in his 60s, the script describes him as 'A sly, intellectual affectation and enough dignity to show he's had his fair share of battles.'
My name is Hartley Rathaway. They once called me the Pied Piper. I've been in Supermax since the beginning. I can talk through all creatures that can be manipulated by high sonic frequencies.
That doesn't matter. No man belongs in this place. Good or bad, we're all victims within these walls. Raped by the inhumanity. It's the souls they're violating. That's why we must escape. So the world can see this injustice.
I thought the Green Arrow was a crusader. He is the only man who can show the world that cages like this should never exist.
Amanda Waller is a staple of DC Comics. Played recently by academy award winner Viola Davis, she is often the head of the Suicide Squad. In this movie she plays the hard lined warden of Supermax prison. She is a middle aged African American woman who is sometimes a antagonist and sometimes on the side of good. Her ambiguous nature is what has made her such an endearing character. We are looking for a bit of menace in this performance as she is trying to stop our main hero (Green Arrow) from escaping her prison.
Whose side are you really on, 9242? There you were, a man on incalculable wealth, all the resources in the world. You could have fought crime through any means. But instead you choose to do so outside the law. Why?
We're not that different, you know. I used to believe in the goodness of mankind, in the importance of right over wrong. But that's not true anymore. In a world of capes and masks, all we have is the law to show us the way.
Supermax isn't just a place to house the degenerates of society. It's our only meaning in a compromised world. It's the line in the sand.
An inmate in Supermax prison. Described in the script as 'A Japanese Man knows as Shock Trauma (30s)'. He is a free spirit and very energetic and he loves messing with Green Arrow/laughing at our hero etc.

An inmate in Supermax Prison. Described in the script as 'A huge, hulking black man in his 30s'. He is a former enemy of Green Arrows, looking for revenge now that that they are in the same prison.
I'll give you a name... I know that voice anywhere... Ain't that right, Green Arrow?
That ain't the place, Trauma, and you know it. There's a northern breeze outside.
Where are we? Brother, you don't want to know.
An inmate in Supermax prison with the ability to transform into water. She is described in the screenplay as a young Indian woman who is unashamedly evil. Green Arrow reluctantly works with her to escape.
Hartley. Maybe he doesn't have what it takes to be one of us...
