Project Overview
Hello!!
I have loved Ouran Highschool Host Club for years. It was one of my first anime and now that I'm doing voice acting I want nothing more than to create my own spin off from it. I like the thought of playing such unique characters and paying homage! I can't remember seeing a female character who behaves quite like Tamaki or the twins. So I want to have fun and enjoy OHSHC with more people!
I do already have some of the voice acting cast done as I've been talking about it with a few VAs on it for awhile now and if this project goes well I definitely want to do more videos!
My first idea was to dub over the show but I realized that wouldn't quite look right. I would love to work with an artist to either make a story board (and have it be more like a comic dub) or actually animate small scenes!
HOW IT WILL BE DIFFERENT
In this version, some of the lines will be changed to fit with a female host club (like for example the guests are now primarily men) and referring to Haruhi as a boy when the club members are out. Also changing the story of how Haruhi has short hair to him wanting to keep his hair long will be added to give more reason to why he looks more feminine.

Right now my plan is to just do one scene and then more in the future if it goes well! As much as I would love to have this fully animated I'm leaning towards having it more like a comic dub as that would be easier to create! But if you do animations please share them! I prefer to be linked youtube videos or google docs but if you have instagrams/tiktok accounts those are perfectly acceptable!

Haruhi is (at least in this version) is a feminine boy who got into Ouran Academy on a scholarship and just wants to study to go forwards on his path to becoming a lawyer. He becomes wrapped up in the host club because he broke an expensive vase. Now he must work for them to work off his debt. I'm looking for a slightly feminine male voice but the range is up for interpretation. Something very gender ambiguous. And again, some of the lines have changed to match the genderbent setting. My ideas for the sound are similar to Akito in Fruits Basket something similar to Ciel Phantomhive from Black Butler(but without the accent of course) or Yukimura from Maid-sama. But I'm really open to different ideas!

Kaoru is the softer twin! Both of the twins are set in a medium range. She is a bit higher pitch than Hikaru but with a tiny little bit of a rasp. https://youtu.be/a8u-OaAEAKs Again with the twins I'm so much more focused on getting them to sound like the dub.

Renge is a over the top dramatic person who is obsessed with dating sims and manga. He comes to be in the host club as a manager initially due to thinking Kyoya is his soulmate because he saw a character in a dating sim that looks exactly like her. The MOST IMPORTANT part about Renge is the laugh! Renge sometimes appears out of no where to comment on something happening and always immerges with a laugh.

Nekozawa is the hooded spooky president of the black magic club! She is deathly afraid of any kind of light and wears a cloak and stays in a dark room as to avoid sunlight. She carries a cat puppet named Belzeneff that she mostly uses to threaten to curse people with.
