Fragmented Dreamland: VA/SVA/Staff Auditions
Project Overview
Fragmented Dreamland is a visual novel project themed around several idol groups, each dying for a spot in the entertainment industry whilst dealing with their own internal issues and struggles. The plot combines a pinch of fantasy and sci-fi but centered in the modern American world, for a sense of realism. (In short, it is similar to Project Sekai or D4DJ.)
The project is planned to be uploaded to YouTube, but whether it will become a playable game or not is to be determined. Other uploaded content may come in the form of videos (music videos and song covers), written works (scripts, short stories), artwork (cards, still scenes, sprites, emojis), and voice acted skits.
Most roles have already been filled through the discord server, but current open roles are shown below! Please note that side characters will still have a major part in some unit stories and will be recurring in events. Furthermore, many staff positions such as video editors, music producers, writers, and artists are needed.
Please note that if you are casted, you will have to fill out a consent form. Inability to comply with all the information means you cannot work on this project. As well, this is also a project that hopes to culminate a safe and supportive community alongside showcasing positive messages throughout the storyline, so please strive to maintain such a community during your time working on this project.

Personality:
- Anh Mai is an incredibly chaotic individual, doing whatever she wants whilst disregarding the emotions of everyone around them. A shut-in, Anh Mai hardly ever goes out, unless it’s to go shopping or do anything responsible (which he hardly ever does). Their job as a Vtuber makes him highly susceptible to strong emotions and outbursts, something that bleeds into their private life.,

Any kind of music genre is welcome, though most groups (5/9) focus on an electronic style. One group focuses on folk sounds, another includes rock/heavy metal, and two include more orchestral/instrumental tracks (jazz/piano respectively).

Any art style is welcome for card illustrations, emojis (though a chibi-like style is preferred), MV art, concept design, and skit illustrations, however, for sprite design, a style similar to the audition profiles will be used.

Aeri exudes a charismatic aura that draws people in, yet there exists a layer of mystery about her that makes her so fascinating to her audience. Most describe her as the epitome of grace and elegance both on and off the stage, coming off as a kind-hearted and compassionate individual that speaks about her work with sincerity. Despite all this, there seems to be a level of secrecy that she has with her at all times, making few wonder if she is truly as genuine as she seems.

Jin normally comes off as angry, brash, and distrustful of others, usually making reckless decisions and picking fights with people that prod him the wrong way. Despite this, he still has some sense, sticking up for the people he cares about and going lengths to make sure that people get what they deserve. Sometimes, however, there are instances where he seems calmer than usual, less likely to jump to conclusions and more understanding of others. Most people claim he’s just having a good day, but when asked about it, Jin claims they have no idea what they’re talking about.

Conetta is the hard-working and enthusiastic manager of Bumble, whilst also being the woman that founded the project. She looks to the bright side on many occasions, always having the capacity to believe in others and strive for big goals. A workaholic and a multi-talented person, she can sometimes get caught up in doing too much at once, causing her to become overwhelmed. But at the end of the day (or maybe even the next), she’s ready to take on a new challenge.

Capria comes off as a reserved yet willing girl, preferring to follow the latest popular trends and blend into the background, at times. She normally doesn’t speak unless spoken to and tends to withhold her opinion on many topics, usually siding with one person or another depending on who needs her support most. To others, she is usually an enigma, only really remembering her when it comes to the popularity of her friends rather than her own accomplishments. Whether she likes her way of life or not is something that nobody knows, at the moment.

Hansel has done a variety of personas and characters during his performing career, his most common being an enthusiastic and giddy showman that loves to enthrall the audience. Because of his reputation for being sweet and energetic, most people are usually shocked when they find out that off the stage, Hansel becomes quite inexpressive and serious, more of a logical and mature person. He’s not rude, by any means, though he is an expert at giving advice and teaching others about performance, when they need it.
