Forgotten Graves: Indie Animated Series
Project Overview
Forgotten Graves; and original indie show concept that I am trying to bring to life. The series is set in a hypothetical world in which all of humanity disappeared and animals are the dominate species, that being said all of the characters are animals. Domestic cat, bat-eared fox, melanistic coyote, German shepherd X Husky mix, raccoon dog, and much more. The storyline follows the three main characters; Ash, Corri, and Blade. They live in one of the ‘cities’ which in present time is overgrown and only inhabited by animals. In the world they’re are different sections of animals, because they’re are so many different species there isn’t one word for their groups (yet), but they don’t get along and fight over territory and resources a lot. However it isn’t just a day to day fun story series. This show is meant to be a commentary on the importance of perspective and is planned to only be one season long before wrapping up the entire story. There is much more to the story but I will add more once I’m sure where it’s going. Side note the show is still growing and the team is being put together so while I know the general idea of the story it may change a as it grows.

Ash is THE main character of the series. They are a domestic gray cat with a traumatic past and complicated family history. A part of the main three they hold just about the most voice lines. They are generally seen with a mid/low voice range that can be female or androgynous. They are stubborn, anger issues, and a natural leader.

This is one of three main characters. Corri is a bat eared fox; chaotic, energetic, annoying, and later on very angry and emotional. Generally seen with a mid/high voice range. Extra audition lines (optional) : “let’s burn them!” (Happy/plotting) “Wuh-oh, well this has been fun but…” (scared/nervous). “No promises!” (Dragged out/evil). “Well what do you want me to do about it?” (Annoyed). “We’re all gonna day some day, might as well take the world down with us” (actors choice)

Blade is one of the main three characters. Cold, closed off, tough, mature, and many more Batman like descriptors. Blade is defiantly the toughest of everyone; they grew up on the streets with no real family and had to fight for everything they got. They are close friends with Ash and always protect Corri. Generally they are seen with a low/mid voice range

I want help bringing the characters to life; I am not the most talented artist however I have simple concept art of the characters and I will give description. Message me either on here or through my email which you can request from me. But I need an artist who is willing to help make concept art for updated character designs. I will hope for multiple people to help with this. For this role I am requesting you submit at least two (or more if you wish) of your own original art works and then at least one piece of art based on the characters style (I don’t want to steal your art work for my show I’m so it shouldn’t be of my character unless you wish but just attempting to remain within the style).

This will require a whole team of animators, but I know we can do it! I am looking for animators who know how to animate animals and are willing to attempt to match the shows art style. Someone willing to help bring the show to life; specifically the pilot. For this role I request two samples of animations you have worked on; ideally at least one with animal characters but it’s not required.

Ember is not one of the main three but is another one of the shows biggest characters. He is a wild cat with an orange coat. Charismatic, loving, and thoughtful. He is generally seen with a mid ranged male voice. He is very close with the main character Ash and they interact in a flirtatious manner. If you are looking for inspiration look up capper from the mlp movie. Extra line: “I’m sorry for everything ash, love you,”

“So, who’s gonna tell them? Cause it sure as hell won’t be me,” (joking)
This is the biggest comedic character. You know that one crazy dumpster guy in apocalypse movies? That’s ruffles. They are a raccoon dog (yes that is a real species). They are insane, chaotic, and very sassy. They are seen with a mid/high voice range but the gender doesn’t really matter. Male is my first choice but any gender could fit this character.

“Blade is stupid. He ask stupid question.” (Idiotically/silly)
“Quick quick, hide hide!” (Urgent, panicked)
Honey starts off as a younger character but grows up as the show continues. She is a Ibizan hound with a red and white coat. She is at the start of the series more shy and scared but as it progress becomes more confident, tough, high spirited, and sweet. However without spoiling anything I will say she ends up with one of the biggest character arcs and will need to have a wide rebate of emotions. She is generally seen with a high/mid voice range.

“You are such a flame out, I didn’t deserve any of this!” (Furious/hurt)
This role is not needed as soon as this will come into play at the end of the pilots production however it will still be important. This role will including working on the audio of the finished animation of Forgotten Graves. I am leaving this audition up to the auditioner, you may submit any piece of your work that you believe would help showcase your ability to engineer Audio on an indie animated series.

I am hoping for Forgotten Graves to have a completely original soundtrack. I believe music is a key element in any story telling, I am willing to take multiple people for this role if the load is to heavy. I am looking for hard workers who are willing to experiment with og music and take critiques to perfect a soundtrack for each episode. For your audition please give two samples or clips of songs/audios you have worked on.

Angel is a a white kitten and little kid (6) and remains that way throughout the entire show. Although younger their voice shouldn't be too high, but rather comforting. They themselves are kind, playful, comforting, and smart. They generally have a mid voice range, preferably male but anything could work.
