Flow'er? I Hardly Know'er! episode 2 Mind in the Mirror

Project Overview

Introduction

Hey y'all, this is my indie animated series, based on the Kirby videogame franchise by Hal labs. We already have a small team of dedicated artists, and with the advent of episode 2 we need to expand our team a little. Three new voice acting roles are available to apply for.

premise

Our story centers around the Kirby games "Triple Deluxe" and "The Amazing Mirror."

In this story, the core themes are love, and destiny. The newly crowned king Taranza must deal with conspiracies, manipulation, and a dark reality which might just lead him down a path of self-destruction.

What is expected

All work shouldn't take long to complete. You will be paid immediately after you've recorded all your lines, and your submissions are accepted. You won't have to wait until the episode comes out to receive payment. You might have to record your lines multiple times if I have issues with the submissions. These characters will appear in future episodes, so if you join the team, you will be strongly encouraged to stick around for the rest of the 9-episode series, for whichever episodes your characters appear in.

Deadline

The deadline will only be one week after this audition opens, so act fast if you want in!

But who are we really?

I am an indie animator, video game developer, comic writer, and illustrator. I also have a little experience with music composition, and I'm also a lyricist. Oh, and don't forget I'm also a sound designer. Our team consists of other musicians, and voice actors, who want to bring this project to life. At the moment, I don't have an official studio, we are just some fools trying to make some cool stuff.

    I'm sorry to those who didn't get the parts, but it was a tough choice! There were so many good auditions. I'm glad you all gave it your all.

  • The casting call is over! Now we're going to pick our voice actors.

    The roles are now closed. Over a short period of time, we will pick the voice actors for each role! This process shouldn't take too long but give us a day or two. Tomorrow is Halloween, so we might give a little extra time to choose. If you get excepted, we'll make sure you know that you've got the role! To everyone else, you were all amazing! Thanks for trying out!

  • The casting call is nearly over.

    The casting call will end on October 30th. If you want a chance to join this project, time is running out. We will not be accepting late auditions. Additionally, roles may be decided shortly before the deadline.

They say "evil" is a perversion of one's potential. As a result, a being of pure negativity can never be evil, because their negative nature is their legitimate purpose. The only exception is Dark Mind. He was supposed to bring death and destruction, but instead he decided to not be so nice. His only desire is to torture himself, and everything else in existence for eternity. As a result, he is the most vile, detestable, and truly evil maniac in the entire story. His voice should sound like Satan as depicted in Helluva Boss. A deep southern accent, with a gravelly voice.

Shadow Kirby should have the same voice as regular Kirby. He has a similar personality, a kind, and rambunctious fella, with far too much power than a little kid probably should have.

He should sound like Death from puss in boots the last wish. A Spanish accent, with a little edge to it. He is not Meta Knight, so his voice should sound a little different than Meta Knight's voice. I always imagined regular Meta Knight's voice sounds like he does in Kirby Right Back at Ya.
