Project Overview

Story:
Fantasia is an audio drama/visual novel set many years in the future after mankind has begun building man made space colonies with ideal living conditions. Being one such colony designed for the purpose of tourism, the Fantasia is the most beautiful colony of them all, however, it is also one of the most expensive to visit and maintain. On board government officials, worried for the colony's rapidly declining resources, hire a team of adventurers to set off to unknown worlds and to bring back much needed supplies.The story of Fantasia revolves around this resource gathering team, their relationships, and their adventures as they accidentally get caught up in a political war they wanted no part of.

Over View:
This first audio drama will be used as a proof of concept so it will be a very light work load (No more than 10-30 lines) However, if the concept goes down well in review, I may make this a long running series and rely on you every time I publish an episode where your character appears. (Episodes will still only be 10-30 lines).

Auditions:

1st line: Gives me a base for your voice

2nd line: Emotional line. Give me a sense for how well you can act! Don't be afraid to over act in some of your takes!

3rd line: Yelling line. Give me a sense for how loud you can be. Some characters (such as Ghost) will not get very loud, but still try to give me a sense of your volume limit.
Multiple takes is fine as long as each take is a different read

Professional or near professional audio quality only

I can NOT stress this enough. Professional quality means no reverb, echo, background noise, etc. If you record with a bit of BG hiss, I do expect the audio to be cleaned up with some sort of noise removal before submitting. Anything less will be overlooked.

    Hello everyone! I can not express how thankful and humbled I am to receive such a huge influx of auditions. I am returning from my spring break where I will then be listening to all the auditions once more to make a final decision. I hope my reviews/critique have been helpful! I have extended the deadline by a few more days while I catch up up on reviewing/ critiquing everyone's auditions. Garan is a rebellious youth who charges into any predicament head on. Garan likes to act like your average street punk and prove to people he’s tougher than he really is, but under the tough and sometimes scary farce, he’s got a heart of gold and would do anything for his friends.

Voice:
Garan has your typical hot headed shonen protagonist voice full of energy however can slip into sounding something like a punk.

Age: 18

Kagari is a raging tomboy, refusing to wear anything that could be considered remotely feminine. She likes boots and baggy/roomy clothes to match her athleticism. Despite this, she will get very upset and angry if called a boy which happens quite often given her deep voice and masculine outfit. Kagari is always cheerful and bouncing with energy. She can also be quite airheaded at times, (even in serious situations) given her somewhat sheltered upbringing. She refuses to take "no" for an answer once she’s decided on something.


Voice: Kagarii has a very androgynous voice, sounding like a young boy or teenage girl. Her voice carries a lot of energy and fiery passion. Girls, please give me your best boy impression.

  • (Lecturing) "Idiot! Those orders were meant to protect people, weren't they?! If not, then they're at fault! Not you! So don't ever talk down to yourself like that!"

  • (Enraged/Yelling) "EXCUSE me?! Who are you calling a boy!?"

Age: 19
Kato is a quiet gun for hire and acts as a bodyguard for the resource gathering group. He comes off as very cold and distant at first, but slowly warms up to everyone as they continue to treat him like family. As time goes on, Kato begins to speak more, but he still holds his cards very close to his chest, having many secrets and a dark past he wants no one to know about.

Voice:
Kato’s voice is soft and serious. Not necessarily deep given his young age, but it generally comes off as cold and no nonsense.

Age: 17

Aeris is a singer and dancer hired on board by Kato who scouted the girl after she impressed the dark and quiet man with one of her routines. Aeris grew up thinking no one would ever notice her and was usually bullied for her passions back on her home planet. She wishes to prove herself to her new family, but generally is too timid to even speak straight.

Voice: Aeris has a very shy and timid voice that usually wavers as if unsure of every word she says. Singing is NOT required, but it is a plus if you can!

Age: 22

A prototype android based on the consciousness of a young man killed due to unknown circumstances. He serves under the group as a multipurpose droid that can download utility programs to become an expert on any subject in mere minutes.
Ghost has a very serene personality, however, beneath the surface is a torn young man that is confused if he is still alive or not.

Voice:
Ghost’s voice is very soft and possibly a little airy, sometimes coming off as shy or even dreamy. He always speaks with a warm, but sad smile trying to hide his internal conflict and not worry anyone.

    what it's like to be human one day and then to wake up the next and be
    told you were killed and put back together as a robot!"

Age: 13

The youngest of the rich and powerful Walker Family. Darus is an up and coming prodigy, already being offered scholarships to colleges all over the Galaxy. His parents put the boy under a lot of pressure to be successful given his extraordinary IQ at such a young age. Despite growing up with fame and fortune, Darus wants nothing more than to be treated like a normal boy and earn respect rather than it given to him on a silver platter.

Voice:
Darus has a typical shota character voice than can flex between being shy one moment and then loud and exuberant fanboying the next. Girls or guys may try out for him.

  • (Fanboying loudly. Talking Quickly) "It's you! It's really you! There's no one on this colony who doesn't know your name! I can't believe I'm actually talking to you!"
